In this study, research was held on verifying mediator effects of academic resilience of gifted youth in relation between academic burnout and school adaptation. To accomplish this, academic burnout, school adaptation, and academic resilience for gifted youth were measured from the participants of 444 gifted youth who had participated in Gifted Education Center and Gifted Class. The results were analyzed by SPSS/WIN 21.0 and AMOS 21.0. A summary of the results of this study is as follows. First, it was revealed that academic resilience for gifted youth plays a role of full mediation in relation between academic burnout and school adaptation. Second, it was revealed that academic burnout and school adaptation had moderator effects in influence of academic resilience for gifted youth. Especially, school adaptation and academic burnout were observed to be negatively correlated with low group of academic resilience. Based on the results of the study, several implications and limitations were proposed for the role of academic resilience in gifted youth.

Recent reports on the phagotrophic feeding of M. rubrum are based on cultivation experiments with novel isolates of this ciliate species from Gomso Bay, Korea. Photo-adapted cryptophyte(CR-MAL01) cultures at high light of 100 $\mu$mol photons m$^{-2}$ s$^{-1}$ (HL) and low light of 10 $\mu$mol photons m$^{-2}$ s$^{-1}$ (LL) were fed to M. rubrum (MR-MAL01) cultures under HL and LL conditions, respectively. Absorbance spectrum by LL M. rubrum showed the same peak at wavelengths around 542nm as that by LL cryptophyte prey, which was not showed in HL M. rubrum. This result supports the implication that light utilization and absorption pattern of M. rubrum population must depend on the status of photo-adaptation of the co-existing population of prey cryptophyte. Consequences of the present research results were discussed in relation to the function of the prey cryptophyte and phagotrophic M. rubrum in marine microbial ecosystem.

The purpose of this study is to make practical suggestions to help multicultural adolescents' academic adaptation. For this purpose, changes in the academic adaptation of multicultural adolescents were identified, and longitudinal changes in self-esteem were explored in the relationship between bicultural acceptance attitude and academic adaptation. The data from the panel survey of multicultural youth of the Korea Youth Policy Institute was used for the analysis. The result of analyzing the longitudinal mediating effects of self-esteem between bicultural acceptance and academic adaptation through the multivariate potential growth model, the mediating effects of self-esteem was confirmed. Based on these results, the practical implications for enhancing the bicultural acceptance attitude, academic adaptation, and self-esteem of multicultural youth were presented.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to identify the experiences of novice occupational therapists working at a child private clinic center in the clinical experience process of sensory integration therapy and to understand the adaptation process in child private clinic center. Methods : The participants were four occupational therapists with less than 1 year of clinical experience. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, and the recorded interview responses were transcribed and analyzed. The analysis of the data was made by phenomenological analytic method suggested by Giorgi. Results : As a result of analyzing the adaptation process of novice occupational therapists working at the child private clinic center, 3 categories, 6 themes, and 16 main meanings were derived. Novice occupational therapists experienced difficulties arising from clinical, obstacles from the working environment, positive factors inside the center, support from outside the center, self-effort, and changes through adaptation experience. Conclusion : Along with changes to the social system and pediatric rehabilitation institution, one's own effort are also required so that novice child occupational therapists working at child private clinic centers can adapt and perform at their roles.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between women's gender microaggression experience in the workplace and their percieved level of decent work based on the Psychology of Working Theory(PWT) among South Korean women employees. Specifically, we focused on testing the mediating role of career adaptability, an intrapersonal variable in PWT, and the moderating role of organizational culture of gender prejudice, a contextual variable in PWT, on career adaptability. Online survey data were collected from 219 South Korean women employees and Mplus 7.0 was used to test the simple mediation and moderated mediation effects based on structural equation modeling. Results indicated that there was no mediating effect of career adaptability between the relationship between gender microaggression in the workplace and decent work, however, a significant moderation effect was found by the organizational culture of gender prejudice on the mediating effect of career adaptability. Based on these results, practical implications of this study and suggestions for future research were discussed.

To improve competitiveness & performance for salesmen of small & medium IT company, this study aims not only to inspect how value orientation, leadership & justice make effects for Organizational Citizenship Behavior & Business Corporate Performance & but also to explore the role of adaptive selling practices as parameter. To support the study, the data collected from 314 employees in sales roles at more than 200 IT companies was processed via. regression analysis method. The research model of study lies at identification of 'the Effects of Value Orientation, Leadership, & Justice of/Posed by the Salesmen of a IT Company on Organizational Citizenship Behavior & Corporate Performance' based on the phenomena of unfair sales strategies rampantly being taken for short-term profits & survivals despite of the value of upholding business ethics to realize long-term, sustainable growth of a business of company. The hypotheses of this study are formulated as follows. First, value orientation, leadership, & justice shall have effects on organizational citizenship behavior & Corporate performance. Second, adaptive selling practices shall function as the parameters between the independent & dependent variables. The analysis results on the research, undertaken with verification of parametric effects, confirm the following: 1. Value orientation imposes positive (+) effects on adaptive selling practices which impose positive (+) impacts on organizational citizenship behavior & Corporate performance. 2. Adaptive selling practices function as a full parameter between value orientation & organizational citizenship behavior whilst functioning as a partial parameter between value orientation & Corporate performance. 3. Leadership imposes positive (+) effects on adaptive selling practices which impose positive (+) effects on organizational citizenship behavior & Corporate performance. 4. Adaptive selling practices function as a partial parameter between leadership & organizational citizenship behavior whilst functioning as a full parameter between leadership & Corporate performance. Therefore, this study is concluded that establishing & executing sales strategies in consideration of value orientation & fairness is of extreme importance for IT companies to realize & maintain their sustainable corporate management, & last but not least, it is necessary for IT companies to proactively introduce & provide educational systems for their salesmen thus to help them to uphold & sustain ethics & values of the business.

In this paper, model reference adaptive fuzzy controller (MRAFC) was proposed in order to overcome the difficulty of extracting rules and defects of the adaptation performance in the FLC. MRAFC comprised inner feedback loop consisting of the FLC and plant, and outer loop consisting of an adaptation mechanism which was designed for tuning a control rule of the FLC. A reference-model was used for design criteria of a fuzzy controller which characterizes and quantizes the control performance required in the overall control system. Tuning control rules of FLC is performed by the adaptation mechanism. The performance of proposed algorithm was verified through experiment for the DC servo motor.

Purpose: This study was to explore association of maternal role adjustments, parenting stresses, and demographic factors to breastfeeding adaptation. Methods: A correlational survey design was used to recruit 183 mothers who breastfeed or breastfed their babies. Participants' visited outpatient departments and were admitted to pediatric ward at 2 hospitals in metropolitan city of Korea. Inclusion criteria for subjects were mothers whose babies were from 1 month to 24 months old. Data were collected using a self-report questionnaire for mothers' and babies' demographic variables, maternal role adjustments, parenting stresses, and maternal breastfeeding adaptations. Results: Higher levels of maternal adaptations and low levels of parenting stresses were associated with greater maternal breastfeeding adaptations. Types of feeding during hospital stays and baby's health status at birth were also associated with maternal breastfeeding adaptation. Conclusion: Results showed that a higher level of mothers' adjustment to breastfeeding; indicated lesser parenting stresses with higher levels of maternal adaptation. Nursing interventions for breastfeeding should be applied for appropriate breastfeeding adaptation during mothers' hospital stay. As baby's poor health status at birth medical team should provide a proper breastfeeding education.

The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between acculturation stress and university adjustment and moderating role of social support in Foreign students majoring tourism at universities in korea. Data was collected from 250 Foreign students. Then the data and hypotheses were examined using multiple regression analysis and hierarchial regression analysis using SPSS 18.0. The result of this study is as follows. Acculturation stress was negatively related with university adjustment and social support positively moderate the relationship between acculturation stress and university adjustment. Social support is suggested to reduce the negative results of acculturation stress and had a positive direct effect on university adjustment. Findings were this study provide a comprehensive understanding on university adjustment for Foreign students studying in korea. also, acculturation stress, university adjustment and social support were significant variable of institutional attachment. Finally, this study suggested that the university should develop international students program based on cultural difference and more studies are need to identify additional different factors that affect acculturative stress as well as to develop students intervention program for physical and psychological support.

Video adaptation in response to dynamic resource conditions and user preferences is required as a key technology to enable universal multimedia access (UMA) through heterogeneous networks by a multitude of devices In a seamless way. Although many adaptation techniques exist, selections of appropriate adaptations among multiple choices that would satisfy given constraints are often ad hoc. To provide a systematic solution, we present a general conceptual framework to model video entity, adaptation, resource, utility, and relations among them. It allows for formulation of various adaptation problems as resource-constrained utility maximization. We apply the framework to a practical case of dynamic bit rate adaptation of MPEG-4 video streams by employing combination of frame dropping and DCT coefficient dropping. Furthermore, we present a descriptor, which has been accepted as a part of MPEG-21 Digital Item Adaptation (DIA), for supporting terminal and network quality of service (QoS) in an interoperable manner. Experiments are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of the presented framework using the descriptor.
