A Study on Library and Information School's Practical Training Program: Focused on a Case of S Public Library (문헌정보학 분야 공공도서관 실습교육에 관한 연구 - S공공도서관 사례를 중심으로 -)

  • This study aimed to analyze the issues on practical training programs at public libraries and propose alternative strategies for them. This study discusses the theoretical bases of providing practical training programs with the recent change in curriculums of library and information studies. It also explores the current status of both practical training program courses offered by the departments of library and information science in Korea, and the operation of programs managed by 42 public libraries. This study categorizes the programs into three types, including basic task type, participatory type, and proactive type, and examines the characteristics of each type. Furthermore, it researches a case of the cooperative public library practice program, which S public library and C University jointly conduct, and analyzes students and librarians' needs who participated in the program. As a result, the study identifies all the parties' challenges and provide a gradual development strategies for the program.

Offline University and Cyber University Analysis of the Current State of the Curriculum Related to the Department of Counseling (오프라인대학교와 사이버대학교의 상담학과 관련 커리큘럼 현황 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the curricula of counseling-related departments in 35 offline colleges and 20 cyber colleges to analyze improvement points and development directions. Curriculum was analyzed with educational goals, open subjects, practice, and operation process. As a result of the study, the terms 'professional counselor, psychologist, and professional counselor' were used the most frequently in the educational goals of the department using the term 'counseling'. In the subjects, the most frequently opened courses were in the first year in counseling basics, in the second year in counseling theory and technique, in the third in psychological evaluation, in the second in statistics and research, and in the fourth in counseling practice. Counseling theory and practice, counseling process and interview technique are operated in the lower grades, and counseling practice, supervision, counseling practice and case study, and domestic and foreign internships were mostly operated in the fourth grade. Based on the above, we will discuss the improvement points and development direction of the curriculum of departments that use the term 'consultation' in offline and online universities.

  • 컴퓨터 교육은 실습 위주로, 컴퓨터를 도구적으로 활용하는 소프트웨어 활용 수업이 대부분을 차지하고 있으며, 단순한 컴퓨터 활용의 실습 수업은 학습자로 하여금 흥미를 잃게 하고 문제해결력과 창의성 개발을 저하 시킨다는 문제점들이 제기되어 왔다. 이에 개정된 7차 교육과정은 이러한 소프트웨어 활용 위주 교육의 문제점을 인식하고 컴퓨터 과학, 원리 위주의 교육으로 변화 하였다. 본 연구는 개정된 제7차 교육 과정이 컴퓨터 과학 교육으로 변화됨에 따라 컴퓨터 과학의 내용을 보다 흥미롭고 쉽게 이해시키기 위하여 언플러그드 학습 시스템을 개발 하였다. 컴퓨터 과학의 추상적이고 개념적인 내용은 중등학교의 교육과정으로는 다소 쉽지 않은 내용이며, 이론 위주의 교육과정은 학생들에게 흥미 없는 교과로 비추어 질 수 있지만, 정보 교과를 위한 언플러그드 학습 시스템을 통해 흥미 있는 교과로 인식이 변화될 것으로 기대된다.

Occupational Health Nurses' Experience in Occupational Health Nursing Practice Education (산업간호사의 학생실습지도 경험)

  • This study was attempted to understand the phenomenon in depth by exploring the special experiences of occupational health nurses who guided occupational health nursing practice education. Participants were eight occupational health nurses who had experience teaching occupational health nursing practice for more than a semester. Data collected as focus groups were analyzed by phenomenological methods. As a result of the analysis, the experience of student practice education of occupational health nurses was derived into four categories: 'Nursing student practice education started from their own experiences', 'Proceeding nursing student practice despite difficulties', 'Feel rewarding' and 'Presenting alternatives'. An understanding the experience of nursing student practice education by occupational health nurses can be used as a reference to improve or develop occupational health nursing practice curriculum, such as establishing practice regulations suitable for the characteristics of occupational health nursing practice subjects.

An Analysis of Prospective Teachers' Feedback on Field Experiences: Focusing on the Case of T National University of Education (교육실습에 대한 초등예비교사들의 환류분석: T교육대학을 중심으로)

  • The present study analyzed feedback from prospective teachers on field experiences in terms of their satisfaction and perceptions on the appropriateness of length and timing, benefits, and problems. Data were collected through a survey administered to seniors at a national university of education who completed all of the field experiences the university offered. The survey questionnaire consisted of 25 5point Likert scale questions and 15 open-ended questions. A total of 353 survey questionnaires were distributed, and 326 were returned. Analyses of the data revealed that satisfaction level on field experiences and the appropriateness of length and timing, benefits and problems the participating prospective teachers perceived by the respondents differed according to the types of field experiences. Based on these results, the study discusses implications and provides suggestions for improvement.

  • 이 연구는 현존해 있는 다양한 임상평가도구의 신뢰도와 타당도에 관한 분석 서술 연구이다. Rines(1974)에 의하면 평가는 학습경험을 통하여 목적을 달성하는 지의 여부를 측정하는 것이라고 하였고 평가의 목적은 교육증진을 도모하며, 목표를 설정하고, 학생의 학습진행과정을 사정하여 학생들을 위한 프로그램을 사정, 개발시키는데 있다고 피력 하였다. 간호교육에는 실무교육이 많은 비중을 차지하고 있다. 또한 많은 간호교육자들은 실습평가에 있어 많은 어려움을 경첩하고 있다. 이러한 난해한 실습평가도구를 개발하기 위하여 선행된 우선순위로써 현존해 있는 다양한 평가도구의 신뢰도와 타당도를 평가하는 것이 의의 있는 일이라 사료된다. 이 논문은 실습평가도구의 신뢰도와 타당도에 관심을 가진 임상지도교수나 간호교육자들을 대상으로 한 서술적 연구이다. 우선 간호교육평가에 있어서의 문제점을 분석하고 평가도구에 대한 전문가(Authority)의 의견을 피력한 다음 저자의 의견을 서술하였다. 결론적으로 현재까지 개발된 완전한 임상실습평가의 방법은 없다. 그러므로 현존해 있는 평가방법을 서술평가하고 문제점을 지적하므로써 질적인 평가도구개발에 도움을 줄 수 있다. 앞으로 간호교육자들이 각 문제점들을 보완하여 교육목적을 달성시킬 수 있는 효율적인 평가도구를 개발하는 것이 급선무이다.

Evaluating the Applicability of Clinical Practicum with Simulation Used Additionally in an Undergraduate Nursing Curriculum (시뮬레이션을 활용한 실습교육과정의 적용가능성 평가)

  • This study was to examine the effects of simulation used additionally in clinical practicum and evaluate its applicability in an undergraduate nursing curriculum. A longitudinal survey was used to measure the changes on the scores of clinical competency, clinical confidence, critical thinking and problem solving ability of students(N=77) who had experienced simulation in the clinical practicum curricula throughout their junior and senior years. Variables were measured 4 times, at the beginning and the end of each year, and data were analyzed using repeated measures of ANOVAs. Clinical competency score in senior year improved significantly(t=-13.75, p<.001) whereas no significant changes in junior year. Clinical confidence and critical thinking disposition over 2 years showed significant increases(F=177.86, p<.001; F=247.79, p<.001, respectively). Problem solving ability increased throughout the junior and senior years, however, it did not make a significant difference at any point of measures.

  • 본 논문에서는 지속적으로 발생하는 송변전고장을 효과적으로 대처하기 위한 근원적 고장예방대책으로 실질적인 위기대응훈련과 변전설비운영분야 근무 직원의 역량강화를 위한 실설비와 연계된 옥내.외 변전소 형태의 변전종합실습장을 구축하는 방안을 제시하였다. 이를 토대로 중앙교육원내 정진관을 개보수하여 실변전설비를 활용한 설비점검, 모의고장훈련, 계통시뮬레이터 실습 및 주요 변전설비 전시가 동시에 이루어지도록 변전종합실습장을 구축하였다. 이를 통하여 변전분야 전 교육과정에 실습장을 활용한 실습교육을 도입하여 변전설비운영분야 근무자의 실무능력배양을 위한 변전분야 종합 교육센터로 전환 할 수 있는 계기를 마련하였다.

  • Students from the Maritime universities enrolled themselves into one year navigational training, according to The International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarer(STCW). The purpose of this paper is to analyze if the students demonstrate improvements and accomplishments while they participate in their practical training. The subjects are third year students of the Korea Maritime and Ocean University who were onboard the Training Ship of the University. The purpose of this paper is to cover the degree of improvement by training, based on the core competency of officers. We also present the basic data for the efficiency in the curriculum of the practical training course for the school. As a result of the research, most of the students showed high improvements in their core competency subjects at the end of their one-year training. However, subjects such as cargo management and protection of the maritime environment resulted in below average results. These were some of the areas that needed improvement.
