The Comparative Analysis of Satisfaction Degree among Local Residents, Domestic and Foreign Tourists : The Case of Baekje Cultural Tourism Festival (축제방문객의 집단별 만족도 비교 연구 -제57회 백제문화제를 중심으로-)

  • The main purpose of this paper is to find out the characteristics of foreign tourists comparing to Korean and how they evaluate the festival respectively. Data were collected during the 57th Baekje cultural tourism festival. The total of 674 sample sizes was collected during the festival, of which 558 respondents were domestic visitors, and 116 were foreign visitors. The empirical results showed that domestic visitors and foreign visitors are different in terms of the perception of performance evaluation, and satisfaction. Especially foreigners' degrees of satisfaction proved to be higher than those of koreans. It also expects the result of the study contribute to the development of efficient festival management policies and programs and facilities to meet the goals of cultural tourism festivals. Besides, the outcome of this research may be useful to other festivals and their future operation.

Satisfaction Decision Factors of Visitors of Rural Tourism (농촌관광 방문객의 만족결정요인)

  • The aim of this study is to draw questions to measure the satisfaction level of visitors who are users of rural tourism and to examine factors to decide satisfaction, which affect their overall satisfaction using drawn questions to assess the satisfaction level. In order to achieve these research purposes, the survey was conducted with visitors visiting rural farming villages-experiencing towns located in Yangpyeong Gun, Gyeonggi Province. Through reviewing previous study we drew 24 questions to measure the satisfaction level of visitors who are users of rural tourism. As a result of the empirical analysis using the structural equation model, the factors to decide the satisfaction of visitors visiting farm villages appeared to be 4 factors including experience program, cost, guide and rurality.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of the travel show visitors' cognitive and affective attitude on the psychological and visitor satisfaction and to use as an important data to make marketing strategy and improve a company's outcome. For this study, 240 visitors from Hanatour International Travel Show are selected. And 203 valid questionnaires are analyzed. The first result was that travel show visitors' cognitive attitude have a positive influence on the psychological and visitor satisfaction. The second result was that, travel show visitors' affective attitude have a positive influence on the psychological and visitor satisfaction. As a result, it is needed to recognize that participation attitude is a main cause which has an important influence on visitors' satisfaction. In addition, it is needed to establish strategy about active maketing activity to make visitor satisfaction move to positive activity purpose and to plan travel show which has differentiated items and contents.

  • This study is to analyze the Impact of visitor's satisfaction on the operating staff's internal satisfaction of festival. This study purposed to provide the basic data for the marketing and strategic planning for improve of visitor's satisfaction. According to the result of this study, we analyzed that the operating staff's internal satisfaction of festival will affect the visitor's satisfaction including the understanding of local culture, venue's comfort, satisfaction of resting place, convenience of information facilities.

  • This study aims at examining the effect of Gyeryongsan national park visitors' tourism motivation on satisfaction and behavior intention based on conducted questionnaires. According to the empirical analyses, two effects were drawn. The results are as follows: First, the effect of tourism motivation on satisfaction and behaviour intention: Second, the moderation effect of tourism purpose on tourism motivation, satisfaction, and behavior intention. According to hypothesis testing for this study, physical motivation and personal motivation influenced satisfaction in terms of tourism motivation and satisfaction for the national park destinations. In addition, physical motivation and personal motivation affected behaviour intention in terms of tourism motivation and behaviour intention for the tourism destinations. Tourist satisfaction, besides, had a significant effect on revisit and word-of-mouth intention. Finally, moderate variables of tourism purpose had a significant influence on tourism motivation, satisfaction, and behaviour intention.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the determinant factors of visitors' satisfaction and behavioral intentions to the Shincheon stream in Daegu city. It was found that ecology of the Shincheon stream, signals about ecology, and physical facilities positively influenced overall satisfaction. Physical facilities more positively influenced overall satisfaction. The overall satisfaction positively influenced behavioral intentions. For the future studies, it is necessary to do research visitors' satisfaction with more diverse factors of satisfaction and longitudinal studies about visitors' satisfaction based on seasonally different visitors.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of experiential elements on visitors' satisfactions, brand attitude, and revisit intention and to suggest the marketing strategy for differentiated festival experiences by validating the mediating effect of brand attitude and visitors' satisfaction among constructs. Collected data were analyzed by using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0. The results from the data analysis are as follows. First, among experiential elements, the effect of three elements (feel, think, and act) on visitors' satisfaction was significant. Second, feel showed significant effect on brand attitude. Third, think and act showed significant effect on revisit intention. Fourth, visitors' satisfaction showed significant effect on brand attitude. Fifth, visitors' satisfaction and brand attitude showed direct effect on revisit intention and also indicated the mediating effect between experiential elements and revisit intention.

  • This study evaluates empirically visitor's satisfaction of Cheonan Well-being Exposition based on visitor's satisfaction instrument of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Using 900 questionnaire respondence of on-site visitors, confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis were conducted for results of the study. The results show that event's programs, event's composition, event's environment, convenient facilities' operations and product's quality are all significant factors for visitor's satisfaction. Visitor's satisfaction is also significant factor for visitor's loyalty. We hope that the results of this study would utilize for measurement instruments of visitor's satisfaction and loyalty.

  • This study has been conducted among the visitors to the Gangneung Danoje Festival 2014 and its purpose is to identify the presence of any correlation between festival attractiveness/visitor satisfaction and the festival factors comprised of interaction, story and telling with storytelling considered as a means that induces communications among visitors as a new method of festival expression. The study has found that the storytelling in traditional cultural festival has statistically significant effect on both festival attractiveness and visitor satisfaction. In particular, when it comes to festival attractiveness, diversity of programs, transportation and accessibility, service quality and lodging have shown to have statistically significant effect while affecting the satisfaction among visitors. Therefore, consistent efforts should be made to develop quality cultural contents through interactions and storytelling between a traditional cultural festival and visitors.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the image of the feel of the local festival visitors participated in local festivals, the local festival image Impact on vistor's satisfaction, revisit and intention of recommendation. In addition, empirically how the visitor's satisfaction impact on their revisit and intention of recommendation. Analysis showed that local festival image factor is derived by three factors, such as cognitive image factor, emotional image factor, facility image factor. All three factors ware seen as the important factors affecting the visitor's facilities satisfaction, but only emotional image of the three images was a factor affecting the visitor's operating satisfaction. Above all should be considered cognitive image Among the three images(cognitive images, emotional images, facilities Images) To enhance the visitor's revisit and intention of recommendation. In other words, it is important that the position of local festival be considered. Should try to raise the quality of cognitive images to improve the visitor's satisfaction, revisit and intention of recommendation at the same time.
