  • Background: The purpose of this study is to investigate whether peer attachment serves as a positive emotional resource for children who have experienced school violence and cyber violence victimization. In addition, we aim to present alternative programs to reduce school violence and promote positive peer attachment among children. Design: We utilized data from the 13th year(2020) of the Panel Study on Korean Children for this study. Methods: The survey was conducted through a questionnaire administered by surveyors, and the total number of cases was 1,357. Results: First, the effects of school violence and cyber violence victimization experiences were confirmed. Second, it can be inferred that children with isolation in peer relationships may ultimately be more vulnerable to cyber violence victimization, as their interactions in cyberspace may also be undermined, highlighting the potential impact of social relationships on cyber violence victimization. Third, it can be observed that children with high levels of peer attachment are emotionally stable, even when exposed to school violence and cyberviolence victimization, which may enable them to regulate the degree of victimization they experience. Conclusion: School violence experience and cyber violence experience interact with each other, and in this relationship, positive peer attachment is a positive resource. Therefore, it emphasizes the importance of the relationship between friends in preventing and overcoming school violence and provides suggestions for solutions based on this understanding.

  • In this study, we used finite element analysis to conduct a containment capability evaluation of a turbine case. When analyzing the impact behavior of structures subjected to impact loads, it is important to consider the strain rate, as it affects the increase in flow stress. Therefore, we applied three material models (Cowper-Symonds, Johnson-Cook, and Modified Johnson-Cook) for the impact analysis. To validate these material models, we performed an impact test on an aluminum 6061 plate. By comparing and analyzing the experimental and analytical results, we determined that the Modified Johnson-Cook material model exhibited the least error. As a result, we applied this material model to evaluate the containment capability of the turbine case. This evaluation involved determining the occurrence of penetration, as well as the stress and strain induced at the collision area due to the initial velocity of the blade.

  • This study investigates the comprehensive system for collecting intelligent learning activity data tailored to learner-centered personalized education. We compared and analyzed the characteristics of xAPI, Caliper analytics, and cmi5, which are learning activity data collection standards, and established a system that allows not only standardized data but also non-standardized learning activity data to be stored as big data for artificial intelligence learning analysis. As a result, the system was structured into five stages: defining data types, standardizing learning data using xAPI, storing big data, conducting learning analysis (statistical and AI-based), and providing learner-tailored services. The aim was to establish a foundation for analyzing learning data using artificial intelligence technology. In future research, we will divide the entire system into three stages, implement and execute it, and correct and supplement any shortcomings in the design.

  • Single particle soot photometer (SP2) is an advanced instrument capable of real-time measurement of concentration, coating thickness, and size distribution of individual BC particle using laser-induced incandescence. So far, there have been insufficient studies examining the real-time characteristics of BC in Korea. In this study, we examined temporal variations in BC concentration and mass size distribution of BC in volume equivalence diameter at a background site of Aewol, Jeju in May. Average concentration and mass median diameter (MMD) of BC particles measured during the study period (06~ 16 May 2013) were $0.69{\pm}0.48{\mu}g/m^3$ and $196{\pm}17nm$, respectively. The BC concentration measured in Aewol was very similar to that observed in the spring of 2012 in Baengnyeong island, and showed diurnal profiles similar to those in other background areas. MMD of BC ranged from 172 to 222 nm. It was found that the mass size distribution of BC varied depending on the location (ground-based), season, types of air masses, and altitude (aircraft-based).

  • In this study, the thickness optimization for uni-directional (UD) glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) laminates of the spar cap of composite tidal blades was performed under the tip deflection constrains. The spar cap was composed of GFRP composites and carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites. The stress distributions in the blade as well as its material costs for the optimized results were additionally investigated. The optimized thickness was obtained by interacting a sequential quadratic programming (SQP) algorithm and an ABAQUS software to calculate an objective function. It was confirmed that the thickness of UD GFRP increased with a decrease of the restrained tip deflection when a thickness of UD CFRP laminates was constrained to 9 mm. The weight of the optimized spar-cap increased up to 96.2% while the maximum longitudinal tensile stress decreased up to 24.6%. The thickness of UD GFRP laminates increased with a decrease of the thickness of UD CFRP laminates when the tip deflection was constrained to 126.83 mm. The weight increased up to 40.1%, but the material cost decreased up to 16.97%. Finally, the relationships among the weight, internal tensile stress, and material costs were presented based on the optimized thicknesses of the spar cap.
