  • As the importance of software has become more widely recognized, many Korean universities are designating software classes as an essential subject. However, there is a difficulty in achieving the educational goal because the education is done without sufficient understanding of the non-Major learner. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the opinions of the humanities college students who have taken the software basic education course and confirm the changes of the students' digital minds. Based on this, we suggest considerations for the basic software education for non-Majors. The results of the analysis show that pre-admission software education does not contribute much to university education, while students respond positively to the practice-based education using student-oriented project subjects. Therefore, it is desirable to provide an environment where learners can gradually develop their digital minds by providing students with more software access opportunities based on hands-on practice in basic software education for non-Majors.

  • The objective of this paper is to elicit some policy implications to promote agroforestry in South Korea from the consumers' perspective. We conducted internet survey to 640 urban households about the recognition of forest farming products. Consumers purchased forest farming products for their nutrition, medical function, and safety and regarded them as higher quality than crops cultivated from agricultural land. Consumers preferred forest farming products but revealed no difference in recognition of naturally-grown products. Consumers buying forest products prioritize the quality and medical function among attributes. Among consumers as their income increases, they regard naturally grown products more important than price and freshness. Therefore, to promote agroforestry in South Korea, certification for naturally-grown products to win the consumers' trust and the $6^{th}$ industrialization by combining experience and green tourism program must be considered.

  • This study aims at investigating the path in which entrepreneurial orientation and absorptive capacity, which have a significant influence on the corporate performance of SMEs, are mediated through product innovation performance (product speed, product quality). For the empirical study, 233 questionnaires collected from 1775 SMEs including in Daejeon Techno Park start-ups were analyzed by using structural equation model. The empirical analysis shows that absorptive capacity and entrepreneurial orientation have a positive effect on performance through product innovation performance. Therefore, it is suggested that entrepreneurial orientation and absorptive capacity increase product innovation performance in terms of corporate strategy and external information utilization capability, and product innovation performance leads to performance. This paper suggests that entrepreneurial strategy and capacity to utilize external information are important for introducing high quality products faster than others in response to the external environment.

  • As universities have operated non-face-to-face semesters due to COVID-19, although instructors applying flipped learning to their classes also have changed it into non-face-to-face ways, there is still a lack of exploratory research on effectiveness of the new form of flipped learning. In this study, we explored the effectiveness of the non-face-to-face flipped learning by analyzing students' learning experiences throughout FGI and survey. By doing so, we sought to provide in-depth insights for successful implications of non-face-to-face flipped learning classes ultimately. The findings showed that many learners positively evaluated non-face-to-face flipped learning in terms of interactions, including quizzes, team activities, and interpersonal interactions (e.g., Q&A, feedback) with professors in non-face-to-face flipped learning classes. The result of the survey also showed significant differences in the pre-post test regarding learner's perceived learning achievement. Based on these findings, the implications were discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine an influence of university students' major satisfaction on career preparation behavior and the mediating effect of openness to diversity. The survey questionnaire was distributed to 182 university students and SPSS 23.0, AMOS 23.0 program was used for statistical analysis of the data. The results of this study are as follows: First, major satisfaction has a positive effect on openness to diversity and career preparation behavior. Second, openness to diversity has a positive effect on career preparation behavior. Third, openness to diversity has a partiall mediating effect between major satisfaction and career preparation behavior. These results show that the more students enhance their major satisfaction and openness to diversity, the more students enhance their career preparation behavior.

  • The purpose of the study is to examine the impact of self-esteem and unstable adult attachment on compensatory consumption among millennials. The survey was conducted on millennials (19~34) in June, 2018. The results revealed the static relationship between self-esteem and compliment-type compensatory consumption, while the relationship of self-esteem with consolation-type compensation consumption become insignificant when unstable adult attachment was controlled. Unstable adult attachment(anxiety/avoidance) showed significant impace on both compliment-type and consolation-type compensatory consumption. The research findings imply that compensatory consumption behaviors can be explained with psychological and relational factors among consumers in their early adulthood.

  • This study explored effective teaching-learning activities under the hybrid teaching model combining flipped learning, direct instruction, cooperative learning and distance learning. Subjects were 99 college students enrolled in 2 teacher preparation courses. Students evaluated effectiveness of 22 teaching-learning activities according to Likert scale at the end of the semester. As a result, all 22 teaching learning activities were considered effective more or less. They facilitated motivation, comprehension, participation, thinking, and led to mastery of the task. ② Activities scored low were 'questioning and answering at the beginning of online class', 'open book test'. ③ Hybrid teaching model was favored over traditional instruction. Open ended responses were consistent with the ones in the questionnaire. This research supports the notion that key teaching models to be combined for successful flipped learning in college setting are direct instruction and cooperative learning. Furthermore, effective and ineffective teaching strategies for flipped learning were found.

  • This study was to investigate what pre-service teachers pay attention to when designing science lessons. As a result of analyzing the responses of pre-service teachers, it is analyzed that pre-service teachers are designing science lessons with emphasis on science inquiry, considering students' interest, level, and treatment of misconceptions, and closely related to daily life. In particular, it was found that elementary school pre-service teachers made a lot of comments on science class design that emphasizes experimentation and inquiry, so it was found that emphasizing inquiry was recognized as an important point in science lesson design. It is very positive that pre-service teachers recognize important aspects of science education, such as emphasizing inquiry. In addition, it is suggested that the opportunities for class design and demonstration through collaboration with teachers and colleagues should be increased for pre-service teachers' professional development of teachers.

  • Gyeongsangnam-do has been operating Bravo-taxi, a Gyeongnam-type DRT using taxi vehicles, since 2017 to guarantee the right of mobility for residents who live in areas lacking public transportation. This research investigated and analyzed changes in users' awareness over two years from beginning of Bravo-taxi operation in Gyeongsangnam-do, which started operating Bravo-taxis in 2017, targeting sites lacking public transportation. Through this study, the positive effects of taxi-type DRT were confirmed, such as improving the mobility of residents in areas underprivileged by public transportation, reducing required time for trips, and increasing preference for Bravo-taxis compared to existing buses. On the other hand, problems with the current Bravo-taxi system were also identified. In some areas, it was found that there were not enough coupons for Bravo-taxis, or in the case of Bravo-taxis operating at fixed times, the user's desired time and operating time did not match, resulting in lower satisfaction. The results of this research are expected to be utilized as basic data for service continuity of taxi-type DRT in operation by other local governments.
