The purpose of this study is to identify the trends of emotion-related mathematics education research conducted in Korea so far, and compare them with those of international studies, and explore the desirable directions for future emotion-related mathematics education research. Emotion-related domestic research was collected from domestic academic journals, analyzed, and then it was used as data for international comparative study. The findings of the Eligio(2017) were used as counterpart research data. This study compares the number of publications, research subjects and research topics of domestic and international studies on emotion. Findings indicate that it has generally shown similar patterns to international research although it was difficult to determine the trends due to the lack of the number of domestic studies. The future directions of domestic mathematics education research on emotion were proposed as follows. Since it is difficult to collect reasonable and reliable data on pure emotion due to the nature of emotion in mathematics education research, it is suggested to introduce the concept of emotional intelligence, which is the combination of emotion and cognition. Also, it was recommended to utilize the concept of meta-emotion for future study on emotion-related research.

The increase in international trade is clearly reflected by litigation and arbitration. Despite the importance of international commercial transaction, until very recently little was known about how the law interacts with actual practice. The CISG obviously plays an important role, but we are concerned with using choice of law to resolve issue that the CISG leaves unresolved. The case law UPICC is now accessible by means of UNILEX, the database on international case law that focus on CISG cases. The courts and arbitration tribunals throughout the world are developing a growing body of international case law on issues not resolved by the CISG, though arising from transactions to which the CISG applies. The application of the CISG is obligatory due to its nature as hard law an international convention. However, UPICC are only restatements and more flexibility, comprehensive instrument than CISG. This article offers to promote the UPICC application from their present status as a mere soft law instrument through analysing UNILEX cases.

This paper aims to analyze comparing the international competitiveness of Korea and China of ICT 10 goods in ASEAN Big 6 countries.(Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines). In this study, we investigate major trends in Korea's ICT goods through various data analysis and evaluate. From 2009 to 2016, As analyzed by ESI, CTB, and EMS, This paper showed Korea has increased its export, EMS and Export Competitiveness to ASEAN. However, due to rapid imports, the trade balance deteriorated and ESI decreased. China showed signs of improvement in international competitiveness, although exports, ESI and EMS were declining. Compared to South Korea, China has seen less export bias to ASEAN. ASEAN is becoming an increasingly important trade partner in Korea's ICT exporting. This paper points out several policy implications drawn from its analyses and findings.

This paper analyzes comparatively the effects of changes in real effective exchange rates on the business fluctuations of the cases of Korea and Japan employing structural vector auto-regression(S-VAR) model which uses quarterly data for the five variables of real effective exchange rates, GDP gap, real interest rates, oil prices, inflation rates for the period of 1980-2006. The paper employes impulse-response analysis and variance decompositions. The paper finds that real exchange rate depreciations are contractionay for the case of Korea while they are expansionary for the case of Japan. These results are consistent with the prevailing empirical results that real exchange rate depreciations are contractionary for developing countries while expansionary for advanced countries.

The purposes of this study are to identify important variables such as strategic motivation, performance objectives and satisfaction, managerial and functional area control, functional area conflict, resource contribution, investment environment and competition of international joint ventures (IJV) and to compare the management practices of Korean and Japanese IJVs in Vietnam. Data set consists of those Korean and Japanese IJVs with local partners in Vietnam. The results suggest that Korean and Japanese IJVs in Vietnam reveals significant differences in their international management practices at IJVs in most areas. We also found differences in satisfaction of the parent companies with the performance of these IJVs in Vietnam.

In this research, it is empirically tested whether firm value after the adoption of IFRS is increased in Korea and China using Tobin's Q model. In Korea, IFRS was mandatorily adopted in 2011 for all companies. China mandated IFRS conversion for public traded companies starting 2007. The revisions bring Chinese standards closer to the IFRS benchmark of internationally recognized quality, but the new standards will not be word-for-word translations of IFRS, though they founded on similar principle. We expect the different adoption process between Korea and China can make different impact of IFRS on firm value. The results are summarized as follows. First, Tobin's Q seems to be increased after the adoption of IFRS, and the firm value is significantly different between before and after IFRS adoption in Korea. Second, Tobin's Q seems to be increased after the adoption of IFRS, but the analysis by t-test is not significantly higher for post IFRS. These results could be a good finding in that the impact of IFRS adoption on firm value is different by adoption process.

This paper investigates the characteristics of Korean international tourism demand for selected 13 destination countries by estimating income and travel price elasticities using quarterly data from 1990:1 to 2006:2. Major findings of this paper could be summarized as follows. First, long-run equilibrium relationships between Korean international tourism demand for 13 destination countries, real income and travel price variables are confirmed. Second, the estimated income elasticities of Korean tourism demand for 13 destination countries are all elastic; especially, those for Australia, Philippine, Thailand and China are very elastic. And their estimated values vary with destination countries, which implies the income effects for 13 destination countries are all different; however there is no evidence that the income effects could be characterized by traveling distances. Third, the estimated travel price elasticities of Korean tourism demand for 13 destination countries also differ from destination countries; in most cases, they are elastic except those for Hong Kong and United States. The most travel price elastic countries are Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

This paper aims to explore the historical characteristics of CESE (Comparative Education Society in Europe) and BAISE(British Association of International and Comparative Education) through the analysis of their theoretical discourses which have impacted on Korean Society of Comparative Education. Inaugurated in 1963 by UK scholars, CESE is an ongoing international educational society beyond Europeanization. It seems intellectually struggling for setting up its peculiar comparative methodology discriminated from Americanization of method in general, because a long tradition that Europe is the center of the world has been shrunk by the emergence of WCCES led by US. While BAICE, inaugurated in 1997, is floating an international association with international students coming from overseas countries, tackling the global issues actively and making more balances with a critical equilibrium theories.

Existing research on international standardization has largely taken a qualitative approach focusing on comparative studies of national institutions and policies on standards or international rivalries from the perspectives of international relations or innovation studies. While there exists a handful of quantitative studies, they are mostly confined to simple numeric counts of essential patents, new work item proposals, or secretaries staffing international standards development organizations (SDOs). This study aims to contribute to our understanding of the dynamics of international standardization by the analysis of the data coding systematically national activities in the standardization process of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), by far the largest international SDO. Our analysis of the four critical types of standardization documents generated in the Working Group 7 of the ISO/IEC Joint Technical Committee 1 reveals interesting dynamics among key players of global ICT standards regime. First, while the US takes a dominant share of the personnel as well as new work item proposals for standardization, its quality of activities rather falls behind as it mostly focuses on keeping in check other countries' standardization activities. Second, European countries tend to spread their effort evenly across different types of standardization activities. Finally, despite such differences between the US and European countries, both rely heavily on multinational companies to gain an advantage in the voting stage of standardization process.

본 연구에서는 터널조명 시스템에 대한 국제적 동향을 알아보기 위해 일본과 유럽의 터널조명 시스템에 대하여 자료를 수집하였다. 이러한 자료를 근거로 Lightscape 시뮬레이션 프로그램과 경제성 평가도구 WEELS를 이용하여 터널의 기본부를 조명하는 광원의 종류, 주간과 야간, 터널 설계속도 그리고 기구배열 방법에 따라 터널조명시스템에 대한 비교평가 연구를 진행하였다.
