The Beginning of New Change: Maeil's Outsourcing (새로운 변화의 시작, 아웃소싱-매일유업 사례)

  • The most distinctive characteristic in Maeil's outsourcing strategy was the rapid decision process done by CEO. At first, Maeil made a contract with a outsourcing vendor based on 50% investment for 5 years. However, 3 years later Maeil changed their outsourcing strategy from 10% share to 100% outsourcing. This is for the efficiency improvement and cost reduction. Also, Maeil organized separate TFT which could control IS quality. This TFT reviewed the feasibility of requirement analysis and IS planning process. Through this cooperation between TFT and the outsourcing vendor, Maeil could get the stable IT development and operation. During last 5 years, Maeil achieved great performance in the area of IT development and operation from the outsourcing. The present issue related to outsourcing strategy is whether Maeil will continue the current contract or change the vendor due to the anxiety of becoming a captive customer.

  • With the liberalization of distribution services industry since 1996 as well as changes in customers' appetite to spend and consumer behaviors, new forms of distribution services have mushroomed such as superstores and SSM(Super Supermarket), online shopping, TV shopping channels. On the contrary, traditional markets have sunk into a swamp of stagnation. As this stage of stagnation of markets negatively affects tradespeople's employment, livings, and local economy, the Korean government has conducted policies to support improvement of market facilities and management since 2004. However, the government has separated facility improvement from management improvement. As of June 2008, there are 1,550 traditional markets in Korea and among these there are 388 public markets which local governments have established and managed. Public markets have possibilities to be developed as successful models of market revitalization since they can get all-expenses-paid supports for facility improvement, control of merchandise assortment, educational program for merchants. Such successful (strategic hub) markets could become the benchmark for other neighboring markets and tradespeople which could lead other successful cases. In order to produce such effects, the market should have optimized facilities, merchandise and services, co-marketing strategies with nearby markets, group purchase strategies. The hub market could play a critical role in distribution of local goods and developing high value products.

  • Animation programs are regarded as bad genre in the aspect of advertisement revenues due to relative low viewing ratios. But programming of animation can be considered positively in the aspect of channel loyalty and preference. This study is based on the assumption that if the scheduling of animation genres could bring out the improvement of channel image of broadcasting stations in the long term, the terrestrial broadcasters could reconsider the increase of animation programs. The research questions of this study are as follows: 1. What is the relationship between the programming ratio of animation genres and the concentration of viewing patterns? 2. How has the increase of animation programming influenced the channel image of broadcasters? 3. Why is it necessary to increase of reinforce the programming of animation genre in the new media platforms? The teenagers aged from 8 to 14 can generally make a decision which program they want to watch. Likewise, the adult viewers aged from 30 to 40 can make a selection which commodity they want to buy. The results of this study indicate that the adult viewers have showed the strong preference for the same broadcasting stations which they have been exposed to in their teenages. This result implies that in the new media environment, animation genre can lead the viewers' loyally and preference for the broadcasting channel for a long period.

  • Car sharing, which is considered as a good example of innovation in the transportation sector, is a type of use in which a plurality of people share a single vehicle for a short period of time. It is divided into various types, NFP (Not For Profit) operated by a non-profit organization, B2C (Business to Customer), which is operated by a company, and Peer to Peer (P2P), which is directly connected to an individual. Among them, P2P car sharing is a method of sharing personal vehicles owned by individuals. It has the merit of reducing traffic congestion and providing for efficient traffic demand management by reducing the purchase rate of additional vehicles and minimizing the number of idle ones. This study examines the introduction of P2P car sharing in order to develop a traffic demand management policy and facilitate the transition to a sustainable transportation system. The spatial extent of the study consisted of apartment complexes in Seoul. In apartment complexes, it is possible to minimize the level of expenditure, such as operating expenses, by utilizing the APT management office and there is no difficulty in securing the necessary parking space. Therefore, apartment complexes were selected as the spatial range.

Study on Improving the Environmental Performance of a Railway Vehicle through a Life Cycle Assessment of the Tilting Train (틸팅열차의 전과정평가를 통한 철도차량 환경성 개선방안연구)

  • Recent international environmental regulations are focused on reducing pre-contamination and on sustainable development prior to the usage stage of a product. The Environmental Performance Declaration is being used as a tool for quantifying the environmental performance of products, to reduce contamination in advance, and for advertising the results of railway vehicles in Europe. In this study, a life cycle assessment of the tilting train was conducted, the first such case study in Korea, according to the ISO 14025 standard and Korea EDP (Environmental Declaration of the Product) rule. As a result of the LCA, the life cycle carbon emission of the tilting train was determined to be $3.54{\times}10^7kgCO_2eq.$ which is higher than that of a European train. Also, the amount of $CO_2$ emission of the Mcp and car body is higher than that of the other car and bogie.

The Study of Service Quality Model in O2O(Online-to-Offline) Context (O2O(Online-to-Offline) 환경에서의 서비스 품질요인 탐색에 관한 연구)

  • In O2O environment(Online-to-Offline), providers attract new customers via web sites and lead them to pay online, then induce them again to offline when receiving products. Thus, online and offline channel is integrated and create synergy for marketing in O2O context. As online and offline channel coexist in O2O, consumers' perceptions for products and services that providers offer cannot help being different compared to an independent channel (i.e., either online or offline). Therefore, this research aims to develop the O2O service quality model(O2O-SQ model). Especially, O2O is the unique environment where offline, online, and mobile commerce are integrated so that the current paper suggests the $1^{st}$ O2O-SQ model by integrating the common factors of offline, online, and mobile service quality model through the previous literature review. Hence, this study conducts FGI(Focus Group Interview) for customers who have experienced in purchasing products in O2O commerce. Among integrated common service quality factors of $1^{st}$ O2O-SQ model, the current paper identifies the specific service quality factors that customers perceive significantly through FGI analysis. Moreover, after extracting the unique O2O-SQ factors with this qualitative analysis and integrating with the $1^{st}$ O2O-SQ model, the paper develops the final O2O-SQ model.

Plagiarism dispute Cases of Fashion Design and Undergraduate Students' Perceptions Regarding Plagiarism of Fashion Design (패션디자인의 표절 분쟁 사례와 대학생들의 패션디자인 표절에 대한 인식)

  • Controversy and legal disputes over counterfeit fashion designs have recently arisen in the fashion industry. The purpose of this study is to examine cases of counterfeiting disputes over fashion designs, and how the perception of counterfeit fashion designs is fostered from the learner's point of view, suggesting implications for the counterfeiting problem. As a result of this study, first, counterfeiting disputes over fashion design started from a lack of utilization of the Design Protection Act and the ambiguity in counterfeit design criteria. Second, the negative perceptions of counterfeit designs were mainly about unethical behavior, inhibiting the growth of the fashion industry, and reducing consumers' willingness to buy the genuine article. Positive perceptions were mainly about the process of creation, the promotion of a developmental environment for the fashion industry, and the expansion of opportunities to promote new designs. The most common perception was the absence of clear criteria for judgments about counterfeiting. Third, the implications of the counterfeiting problem in fashion design require effective institutional improvement in the fashion industry, the establishment of standards to deal with counterfeiting, the development and practical introduction of education proposals regarding intellectual property rights, and changing the perception of counterfeiting in the fashion industry.

Development of Project Delivery System in Public Sector for Modular Building (모듈러 건축물의 특성을 반영한 공공발주 방식의 개발)

  • Recent research has been ongoing for modular buildings in the country and interest increases. However, the activation of modular building projects is obstructed in the construction industry. There are many reasons to identity for this obstruction but one issue should be focussed. Modular buildings require to change the existing construction production system to a new construction production system, which is factory production - transportation - erection. However, the existing project delivery system in the public sector could not be adapted for this new construction production system due to the obligation of multi prime contract use, such as electrical, communication, fire fighting contracts by Law. Therefore, modular buildings in the existing project delivery system are separately contracted by multi prime contracts and modular units composed of the buildings are contracted by an architectural prime contractor as a commodity. As results, construction costs are increased, potential quality problems are raised and the existing project delivery system is finally an obstacle not to maximize benefits of the modular buildings. In this paper, we propose a new project delivery system for the modular buildings to adapt then ew construction production system.

A Quantative Evaluation Method of the Quality of Natural Language Sentences based on Genetic Algorithm (유전자 알고리즘에 기반한 자연언어 문장의 정량적 질 평가 방법)

  • 본 논문에서는 자연언어 문장의 객관적 정량적인 질 측정 방법의 구축에 대해 설명하고, 이를 문장 퇴고 시스템의 사례에 적용해 본다. 문장의 질을 평가한다는 것은 본질적으로 주관적이고 정량화가 어려운 작업이기 때문에, 이 과정에서 질의 객관적 계량화가 가능한지 여부가 가장 중요한 문제가 된다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 진화적 접근 방법을 통해 객관적이고 정량적인 질의 측정 공식을 유도하는 방법론을 제시하였다. 이 논문에서 제시한 방법론의 핵심은 간단히 말해서 사람이 행하는 정성적인 판단을, 이에 가장 근접하는 정량적 측정 체계로 전환시키는 것이라고 보면 된다. 이것을 위해 정량화 문제를 문장의 단순 언어 특징들의 변화값을 이용한 최적화 문제로 환원시키고, 다시 이 최적화 문제를 유전자 알고리즘을 이용해 해결함으로써 문제를 효과적으로 해결할 수 있었다. 실험 결과를 보면, 본 논문에서 제시한 최적화 방법은 주어진 훈련용 예제와 검증용 예제 중 각각 99.84%, 99.88%를 만족시키는 해를 찾아내었으므로 정량적 질 평가 공식의 유도에 매우 효과적임을 알 수 있었다. 또한 도출된 측정 공식을 이용해서 실제 퇴고 시스템 평가에 적용한 결과 문장 질의 측정에 매우 유용하게 이용될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같이 질의 정량적 평가가 가능하다는 사실이 갖는 또 한가지 중요한 의미는 최종 사용자의 구매 의사나 개발자의 공학적 의사 결정을 위한 객관적 성능 평가 자료의 제공에 이 방법이 유용하게 사용될 수 있다는 점이다.Abstract This paper describes a method of building a quantitative measure of the quality of natural language sentences, particularly produced by document revision systems. Evaluating the quality of natural language sentences is intrinsically subjective, so what is most important as to the evaluation is whether the quality can be measured objectively. To solve such problem of objective measurability, genetic algorithm, an evolutionary learning method, is employed in this paper. The underlying standpoint of this approach is that building the quality measures is a task of constructing a formulae that produces as close results as can to the qualitative decisions made by humans. For doing this, the problem of measurability has been simply reduced to an optimization problem using the change of the values of simple linguistic parameters found in sentences, and the reduced problem has been solved effectively by the genetic algorithm. Experimental result shows that the optimization task satisfied 99.84% and 99.88% of the given objectives for training and validation samples, respectively, which means the method is quite effective in constructing the quantitative measure of the quality of natural language sentences. The actual evaluation result of a revision system shows that the measure is useful to quantize the quality of sentences. Another important contribution of this measure would be to provide an objective performance evaluation data of natural language systems on a basis of which end-users and developers can make their decision to fit their own needs.

Distribution Reality and Effectiveness of Distribution Structure of Fisheries in Busan Large Discount Store (부산 대형할인점의 수산물 유통실태 및 구조 효율화)

  • In 2006, the share of fisheries distribution in Busan amounted to 1.9 million ton, which was 41 percent of the whole country. In details, coastal fishery 334 thousand ton(14% of the whole country), deep sea fishery 452 thousand ton(82%), import fishery 964 thousand ton(70%), export fishery 157 thousand ton(43%) were distributed in Busan region, respectively. Recently, the share of fisheries sale through e-commerce is increasing owing to the growth of IT and competitive price of its products. and the sale share of large discount store is also on the 10% more increase owing to the effectiveness of distribution structure. Hereafter these structure changes of fisheries distribution in Busan will be more intensified. Therefore, after reflecting the change in distribution policy of Busan Fisheries, the directions of distribution policy should be established, as follows. Distribution policy to prepare for increasing of sales ratio in large discount store
