We used 3rd~5th(2009~2011) 'Youth Panel Data' designed by Korean Employment Information Service. Data we adjusted were male(3,481) female(3,770). We applied the Generalized Estimating Equations to Panel logit model. We found that job education and training, career guidance, job shadowing program, getting new certification, sex, age and change of gross income affected employment preparation with controling education factors, socio-economic factors. This study found the effort of employment preparation was significant impact on labor participation and showed an influence on each variable empirically. We suggest that the youth-unemployment problem there is a need to approach fundamental aspects.

  • The purpose of this research is to grasp the influencing factors on the labor market entry of disabled women, and to suggest policy alternatives to support the labor market entry of them. This article utilized the survey data of the 3rd to the 7th Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled in 2010-2014(by PSED), which is a longitudinal survey for the disabled in Korea. I analyzed the pattern changes of the labor market entry of them with the passage of years, and the influencing factors on that by the event history analysis. The major findings are as follows: First, according to the life table analysis involved in change of the labor market entry, 90% of them continued to remain the longest period of unemployment for four years and the labor market entry rate was only 10% of them. Second, the result of Cox regression analysis shows that public benefit recipient or not, the degree of disability and discrimination experience at the job market were factors to affect the labor market entry. With these results, this study suggested the practical alternatives to improve the labor market entry of disabled women.

  • Impact of Korea train express (KTX) on the regional economy in Korea has been studied by many researchers. Current research is limited in the lack of quantitative research using a statistical model to study the effect of KTX on regional economy. This paper analyses the influence of KTX to the household final consumption expenditure, which is one of important regional economic index, using spatial panel regression model. The spatial structure is introduced through spatial autocorrelation matrix using adjacency of KTX connection. The result shows a significant effect of Korea train express on the regional economy.

  • This study is an analysis of the factors affecting the re-employment will and re-employment of the elderly workers, using the aging pannel(KLoSA). As a results of the analysis, re-employment will of high school graduates is higher than that of college graduates, but re-employment possibility is lower. This is somewhat contradictory results with other studies. This seems to be influenced by a large number of highly educated baby boomers' retire. 50s' re-employment will was lower than 60s'. As job factors, employed period and scale has a positive effect. In contrast, type of industry, job haven't. In order to induce the re-employment of the elderly, inhibiting expansion of self-employment, job creation, irregular and minimum wage system improvements, Customized services are needed.

  • 18 boreholes with nitrate contaminated were selected. Samples were collected 4 times between both 1995 and 1996. Stable nitrogen isotope ratio for them all was measured and the contribution to contamination from several sources like fertilizer, sewage, cropland. and landfill was analysed. Nitrogen source for 11 sampling sites of T-3, L-1. O-1∼O-4, F-2∼F-5, and G-2 considered to come from chemical fertilizer and its contribution was around 60% or more. T-4. T-5 were located downward the downtown, which were influenced bydomestic sewage and its contribution were 70.7% and 54.7%. Nitrate concentration of G-2 was 17.7 mg/L, among which 60.7% was estimated to come from landfill leachate. T-1 and T-2 were located in the small village, in which 42.2 and 43.4% of nitrogen was to come from domestic sewage but 52.8% and 56.0% were from fertilizer sprayed in the cropland. L-2 was near livestock by which it was estimated to be influenced, in which 59.9% of nitrogen was from cropland. F-1 was in the cropland, by which 50.0% was influenced and 49.5% was estimated from organic matter of animals.

Second, The intercept of life satisfaction in the disabled was positively associated with network, and slope of life satisfaction was negatively related to network. Third, social participation positively influences the intercept of life satisfaction but, no significant affect to the slope. Based on results of the study, practical implication and the political-approach to interventions for the better life satisfaction of the disabled are being discussed.

  • Globally, more than 90 percent of all international commerce takes place via sea freight. In terms of container cargo volume, Busan Port is the world's sixth largest port, given its geographical conditions. Regarding geographic advantages, a cargo-working operation that met customers' demand using a 24-hour operating delivery system also contributed to the growth of Busan Port as a global hub. However, research and studies on the working conditions for stevedores are lacking, even though the port industry relies heavily on human resources. Therefore, this study identifies the awareness of the working environment by cargo-working employees at Busan Port and their satisfaction level related to their working environment, such as working two shifts in a 24-hour period.
