The effect of Rural Bus Service Quality Factors on Service Satisfaction and Policy Satisfaction: Focusing on Rural Bus Service in Jeollabuk-do (농어촌버스 서비스품질 요인이 서비스 만족도 및 정책 만족도에 미치는 영향: 전라북도 농어촌버스 서비스를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose policies to improve and revitalize rural bus services in Jeollabuk-do in the future by identifying the factors that affect service satisfaction and policy satisfaction and the relationship between them, targeting rural bus users in 4 cities and counties in Jeollabuk-do. In the four cities and counties in the study area, the number of rural bus users is continuously decreasing, and various transportation policies, such as unification of bus fares and demand-response transportation, are being piloted to promote bus use. In this study, three major service quality factors that affect rural bus service satisfaction and policy satisfaction were derived after a literature review. Modifying the research model presented in previous studies, we have presented a research model to verify the relationship between the three factors affecting service satisfaction and policy satisfaction, and the relationship between service satisfaction and policy satisfaction. For the verification of the research model, a total of 520 survey data collected from passengers near bus stops and bus terminals in four cities and counties, Gochang, Gimje, Buan, and Jeongeup, were used. As a result of the verification, it was found that the three factors of economic feasibility, convenience, and safety had a statistically positive (+) effect on service satisfaction, but only convenience and safety had a positive (+) effect on policy satisfaction. Contrary to the research hypothesis, it was found that there was no statistically significant relationship between service satisfaction and policy satisfaction. Although the result is different from the research hypothesis, it was a meaningful result that can make policy suggestions on the improvement of the unified fare system policy, service satisfaction, and policy satisfaction to Jeollabuk-do rural bus transportation policy makers and working-level officers. In conclusion, based on the results of research analysis, the unified fare system, and transportation policy, measures to improve service satisfaction and policy satisfaction were presented.

Mediating Effect of Ease of Use and Customer Satisfaction in the Relationship between Mobile Shopping Mall of Service Quality and Repurchase Intention of University Student consumer (모바일쇼핑몰 서비스품질과 대학생 고객의 재구매의도 관계에서 사용용이성과 고객만족도의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify empirically the causal relationship between service quality, ease of use, customer satisfaction, and repurchase intention of mobile shopping mall. And this study is to investigate the ease of use and customer satisfaction mediating effect of between service quality and repurchase intention. Therefore, 323 university students in Jeonnam area were surveyed and the structural equation model was derived based on previous research. Service quality of mobile shopping mall make a significant effect on using easiness, purchasing satisfaction and repurchase intention. However, among service quality of mobile shopping mall, service scape like mobile interface and site design made a positive effect on purchasing satisfaction, but did not any effect on repurchase intention. In other words, service quality factors that make positive effects on customer's pleasant using and repurchase intention make a positive effect on repurchase intention when providing and using the service customer wants faithfully rather than external part of the site and mutually influencing attitude or behavior well. The implications suggested by this study are as follows. First, service quality of mobile shopping mall makes a significant effect on repurchase intention, so it's necessary to improve CS service system so as to treat customers' inquiries or inconveniences actively during mobile shopping and return and refund of defective products quickly and conveniently. And, in addition to the finally used factors in analysis process, benefits using customers' grade by number of purchases, such as various events, coupons, reserve, etc. and active contents marketing strategies providing more various pleasures and values of shopping are necessary. Second, satisfaction of mobile shopping mall makes a positive effect on repurchase intention, so visiting of site and repurchasing of product are continuously done as customers' satisfaction on shopping mall is increasing. Therefore, shopping mall site requires differentiation of contents, exact plan and practice of service, marketing, etc. so that customers can feel more satisfaction. This study is significant as it systematically analyzed concepts of components that service quality of mobile shopping mall makes an effect on using easiness, purchasing satisfaction, and repurchase intention, verified the relations, systematized it by theoretical structure, and widened the understanding of effects making an effect on repurchase intention.

Market Success factors of Mobile Games: Differences by Genres and Changes over Time (모바일 게임의 시장 성공 요소: 게임 장르별 차이와 출시 후 시간 경과에 따른 변화)

  • After the introduction stage, Korean mobile game market is approaching to the growing stage leading mobile contents market. The environment for the mobile contents business is getting better by the expansion of the 3G mobile networks and the enhancement of the mobile devices. In this research, at a content level, not a service level, market success factors of mobile games and the differences by genres and their changes over time were investigated through the analysis of the real market data of mobile games launched by a Korean mobile carrier. The most important factors for market success, especially for the genres of RPG/Tycoon/Simulation and Shooting/Action/Arcade, were found to be the 'design' factor and its effect turned to be getting stronger as time goes by after the launch. Consumers' purchase rate was actually higher for the mobile games of popular genres or in relation with socially popular subject matters. Also 'design' and 'creativity' factors which are related to the quality of contents, have gotten more important over time. One of the most interesting results was that there existed a "blue ocean" genres like Sports/Racing/Leisure which had a steady demand but not many competing games. In the analysis of the 'convenience' factor, one interesting implication for mobile game producers was that there exists a trade off between the ease of initial adoption and the steady sales of a mobile game.

  • Business entrepreneurs reflect their views of domestic and foreign economic activities on their operation for the growth of their business. The decision, forecasting, and planning based on their economic sentiment affect business operation such as production, investment, and hiring and consequently affect condition of national economy. Business survey index(BSI) is compiled to get the information of business entrepreneurs' economic sentiment for the analysis of business condition. BSI has been used as an important variable in the short-term forecasting models for business cycle analysis, especially during the the period of extreme business fluctuations. Recent financial crisis has arised extreme business fluctuations similar to those caused by currency crisis at the end of 1997, and brought back the importance of BSI as a variable for the economic forecasting. In this paper, the meaning of BSI as an economic sentiment index is reviewed and a GUIDE regression tree is constructed to find out the factors which affect on BSI. The result shows that the variables related to the stability of financial market such as kospi index(Korea composite stock price index) and exchange rate as well as manufacturing operation ratio and consumer goods sales are main factors which affect business entrepreneurs' economic sentiment.

  • Urban railway started its operation in August 15, 1978 in Korea. Nowadays, it is being operated in Seoul, Busan, Incheon, Deagu, GwangJu, and Daejeon, and it is playing a major role in mass transportation. Urban railways can provide rapid and convenient transportation to citizens in eco-friendly and energy saving way. However, urban railway operating organizations have been in financially difficult conditions due to the enormous debts borrowed for the construction of railways. Urban railway operating organizations are under pressure to improve its difficult financial conditions through the efficient management of the organization. The management and operation efficiency of urban railway organizations have been evaluated since 1993 by Ministry of Public Administration and Safety to make those organizations more competitive, responsible and efficient. However there are some limitations in evaluation since they do not reflect the relative size of organizations, relative newness of facilities, etc so that it's not objective and loses fairness. This study proposes an improved method for the evaluation of safety.

A study on applying Problem-Based Learning to a course entitled 'Teaching practice' for prospective Home Economics teachers (예비가정과교사를 위한 <교직실무> 수업에 문제중심학습을 적용한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to conduct a course entitled 'Teaching practice' applying Problem Based Learning(hereafter PBL) for perspective Home Economics teachers to explore the applicability of PBL to the course. A course entitled 'Teaching practice' was carried out for 17 undergraduate students from the 2nd of March till 11th of June in 2014. Pre- and post-tests to measure teacher disposition were performed to investigate the effectiveness of the course applying PBL. Three questions for PBL were developed, were determined after obtaining verification of the questions from 5 experts, and were used for the course entitled 'Teaching practice'; Developing teaching-learning plan, establishing plan for homeroom class management, and designing assessment of Technology & Home Economics. The processes of PBL include defining the problem, planning problem solutions, reassessing the problem, identifying possible solutions, and performance presentation. Procedures for solving one problem of PBL took 4 weeks and teacher disposition assessment for effectiveness of PBL was carried out for pre- and post tests. The reflection journal showed that even though it was their first experience of PBL, instructor's feedback, group activities, and individual activities were helpful for solving the problems of PBL. The result of dependent t-test for paired samples revealed significant differences between the pre- and post tests, which means that there was effectiveness of the course applying to PBL on teacher disposition of prospective Home Economics teachers.

A Study on the Smart Workers' Perception of the Boundary Strength Between Work and Nonwork (스마트워크 이용자의 업무와 비업무간 경계 강도 인식에 관한 연구)

  • Companies as well as the Korean government show growing attention to the Smart Work which is enabled by the ongoing development of information and communication technologies (ICTs). Smart Work can be regarded as an extended version of telecommuting or distance work and defined as "working efficiently and conveniently regardless of time and place utilizing ICTs." Smart Work currently puts its emphasis on the work and life balance by changing the ways of working. Despite its emphasis on work and life balance, it is expected the boundaries between work and nonwork would blur, work and nonwork boundaries may become more permeable, and role conflicts would occur more times than before. To find ways to enhance work and life balance while escaping from expected conflicts in the context of Smart Work, we investigate the work and nonwork boundary strengths and the factors affecting them. In the course, we consider asymmetries between the work and nonwork boundary strengths and bidirectional nature of work and nonwork permeability. We develop two research models having work and nonwork boundary strengths as respective dependent variables. We empirically found that work role identification and nonwork-to-work permeability had influences on the boundary strength at work and that work-to-nonwork permeability affected the boundary strength at nonwork. However, nonwork role identification did not show any significant influence on the boundary strength at nonwork.

A Brief Analysis on the Correlations between Website Accessibility and Quality Evaluation Results and Efficiency of Main Seaports in Korea, China, and Japan (한·중·일 주요항만의 웹 사이트 접근성 및 품질평가결과와 효율성과의 상관관계분석 소고)

  • The purpose of this paper is to empirically examine whether there are significant relations among rankings of cross-efficiency, web accessibility, and website evaluation. For this purpose, the study uses the KWAH-4 method developed by the Web Accessibility Laboratory in Korea, website evaluation method developed by the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), and the cross-efficiency model for 13 Asian container seaports including Korean, Chinese, and Japanese main ports in 3 years (2009, 2010, and 2013) using data for two cases: three inputs (depth, total area, and number of crane) and one output (TEU) in the first case and three inputs and two outputs (TEU and BDC overall score) in the second case. The main empirical results are as follows. First, the ranking orders of cross-efficiency, web accessibility, and website evaluation overall scores are not significantly correlated with each other. Second, if the BDC overall score is included in the output element, the correlation results are improved. However, the correlation coefficient is still low. The container port policy planners should introduce and consider the web accessibility and website evaluation scores when evaluating an efficiency-increasing plan for Korea's main container ports.

The Effects of the Business Resources in Diversification Foodservice Corporations on Resource Sharing and Synergy: Focusing on Moderating Effects by Synergy Implementation Cost (다각화 외식기업의 경영자원과 자원공유 및 시너지와의 구조관계 연구 : 시너지실행비용에 따른 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • This study conducted an empirical analysis on the hypothesis of structural relationship that the resources of diversification foodservice corporations develop into resource sharing about creating synergy on the basis of resource based view. Based on the questionnaire answered by 237 foodservice employees over three years, this study examined its validity and reliability by using SPSS 16.0 and AMOS 5.0 for hypothesis. The result of study modelling were GFI=0.910, NFI=0.915, CFI=0.952, RMSEA=0.070 at the level of $x^2$=179.797(df=83, p<0.001). First, intangible resources 0.180(t=2.371, p<0.05), tangible resources 0.127(t=2.028, p<0.05) and human resources 0.263(t=2.542, p<0.05) of diversification foodservice corporations had positive effects on resource sharing. And resource sharing 0.264(t=3.158, p<0.001) had a positive effect on synergy. Also, between resource sharing and synergy identified moderating effects by synergy implementation cost.

  • This study was intended to survey on the restaurant selection preferences by elderly consumers' values and lifestyle. The survey was residing in Seoul and men and women who were 55 years of age or older to achieve the purpose of this study, the theoretical and empirical research methods research methods were combined. The results of the study are summarized as follows. First, Action oriented intrinsic value of elderly consumers highest lifestyle influence. This is an internal value-oriented elderly consumers to follow the latest fashion trends and challenges in the new one, we enjoyed the service and sometimes want to experience the frenetic fun means. Second, Realization oriented lifestyle on the Brand standards, food quality standards, environmental standards positive effect was found to be Principle oriented life style based on the environment positively influence. This trend Principle oriented lifestyle can talk comfortably while you can relax and quiet around people, mainly from a reputable place, and action-oriented selection of the hotels facilities and senior discount price menu and the service is friendly and Notice that if you use a little less meoleodo, and these results are only for the elderly consumers with access privileges and services using the factors of elderly consumers loyalty and Catering Food service satisfaction should be efforts to raise. Third, elderly consumers select attribute value and proven results Food service elderly consumers based on personal values and lifestyle are different catering companies can select the properties that standard means, elderly consumers are value-oriented properties and select the Food Service Industry catering companies by identifying the active elderly consumers in future marketing strategies to be able to bring a positive impact considered.
