  • More general form of an (${\in},{\in}{\vee}q_k$)-fuzzy subsemigroup is considered. The notions of (${\in},q^{\delta}_k$)-fuzzy subsemigroup, ($q^{\delta}_0,{\in}{\vee}q^{\delta}_k$)-fuzzy subsemigroup and (${\in},{\in}{\vee}q^{\delta}_k$)-fuzzy subsemigroup are introduced, and related properties are investigated. Characterizations of an (${\in},{\in}{\vee}q^{\delta}_k$)-fuzzy subsemigroup are considered. Conditions for an (${\in},{\in}{\vee}q^{\delta}_k$)-fuzzy subsemigroup to be a fuzzy subsemigroup are provided. Relations between ($q^{\delta}_0,{\in}{\vee}q^{\delta}_k$)-fuzzy subsemigroup, (${\in},q^{\delta}_k$)-fuzzy subsemigroup and (${\in},{\in}{\vee}q^{\delta}_k$)-fuzzy subsemigroup are discussed.

  • This present study was designed to evaluate whether supplementaion of dietary coenzyme $Q_{10}$ protects the lipid peroxidation damage in adriamycin (ADR)-treated rats. Two experiments were conducted in this study. Experiment I was undertaken under the condition of simultaneous administration of ADR and coenzyme $Q_{10}$ for 4 weeks. Experiment 2 was undertaken under the same condition as experiment I after feeding the experimetal diets alone without administration of ADR for 4 weeks. Results obtained from the present study were as follows. Lipid peroxide value of plasma and heart mitochondria was elevated by ADR treatment. but decreased according to dietary coenzyme $Q_{10}$ supplementation. Pretreatment with dietary coenzyme $Q_{10}$ was more efficient in reducing ADR-induced lipid peroxide value. The simultaneous use of ADR and coenzyme $Q_{10}$ enhanced the heart glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activity. particularly at higher level of coenzyme $Q_{10.}$ The change of superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity was similar to that of GSH-Px activity. In case of pretreatment with coenzyme $Q_{10, }$ these enzyme activities were more enhanced by dietary coenzyme $Q_{10.}$ However, there was little difference in catalase activity.

  • Jumping translocations (JT) are chromosomal rearrangements involving one donor chromosome and several recipient chromosomes. While JTs are frequently observed as acquired chromosomal abnormalities in hematologic malignancies, constitutional JTs are only rarely reported. We report two cases of constitutional JT in chorionic villi derived from the products of conception. The karyotype of the first case was 46,XY,add(18)(p11.1)[61]/45,XY,der(18;21)(q10;q10)[32]/46,XY,-18,+mar[16]/46,XY,i(18)(q10)[9]/45,XY,der(15;18)(q10;q10)[6]/46,XY,+1,dic(1;18)(p22;p11.1)[2]/45,XY,der(13;18)(q10;q10)[1]/46,XY[32]. The donor was a chromosome 18. The recipient chromosomes were chromosomes 1, 13, 15, 18 and 21. In the second case, the karyotype was 46,XY,der(22)t(9;22)(q12;q13)[22]/46,XY,der(22)t(1;22)(q21;q13)[13]/46,XY,add(22)(q13)[5]/46 XY[23]. The donor was a chromosome 22 and recipients were chromosomes 1 and 9. Both cases were de novo. The breakpoints of chromosomes were mostly in centromeric regions, pericentromeric regions, or telomeric regions. Normal cell lines were observed in both cases. This report supports the prior findings that the unstable nature of JT, resulting in chromosomal imbalance, most likely contributed to these early miscarriages.

  • For a complex number q and a divisor function ${\sigma}_1(n)$ we define $$C(q):=q{\prod_{n=1}^{\infty}}(1-q^n)^{16}(1-q^{2n})^4,\\D(q):=q^2{\prod_{n=1}^{\infty}}(1-q^n)^8(1-q^{2n})^4(1-q^{4n})^8,\\L(q):=1-24{\sum_{n=1}^{\infty}}{\sigma}_1(n)q^n$$ moreover we obtain the number of representations of $n{\in}{\mathbb{N}}$ as sum of 24 squares, which are possible for us to deduce $L(q^4)C(q)$ and $L(q^4)D(q)$.

  • A $Q_{10}$-producing photosynthetic bacterium was isolated from the silt at Nakdong river. The isolate had 1.55 mg of $Q_{10}$ per gram of dry cell. By the 16s-rDNA sequence analysis, the isolate was found to be Rhodobacter sphaeroids with 100% similarity (Genbank Accession No.=AM696701).

  • Ubiquinone compounds of strains in Leucosporidium scottii, Leucosporidium fellii, Leucosporidium lari-marini, and Rhodosporidium fluviale were analyzed by the high performance liquid chromatography. The Q-9 or Q-l0 compounds, independent on mating or self-sporulating type, were determined in the analyses of Leucosporidium scottii strains. Particularly, there is heterogenous in the quinone compounds in the same strain of L. scottii. These results showed reassessment of the quinone compounds as a taxonomic criterion; L. fellii had the Q-9 compound, L. lari-marini the Q-8 compound, and R. fluviale the Q-10 compound, Taxonomic position of L. lari-marini should be elucidated on the basis of analysis of Q-compound with other aspects.

  • The RMR and Q-system for characterizing rock mass and drilling core, and for estimating the support and reinforcement measures in mine galleries, tunnels and caverns have been widely used by engineers. SMR has been widely used in the rock mass classification for rock slope, but Q-Slope has been introduced into slopes since 2015. In the last ten years, a modified Q-system called Q-slope has been tested by the many authors for application to the benches in open pit mines and excavated road rock slopes. The results have shown that a simple correlation exists between Q-slope values and the long-term stable and unsupported slope angles. Just as RMR and Q have been used together in a tunnel or underground space and complemented by comparison, Q-Slope can be used in parallel with SMR. This paper introduces how to use Q-Slope which has not been announced in Korea and application examples of Pasir open pit coal mine in Indonesia.

  • In this paper we construct a new type of $q$-Bernstein polynomials related to $q$-Euler numbers and polynomials with weak weight ${\alpha}$ ; $E^{(\alpha)}_{n,q}$, $E^{(\alpha)}_{n,q}(x)$ respectively. Some interesting results and relationships are obtained.
