This study investigates the critical success factors for the promotion of IT industry in region and suggests some directions for operations strategy of them. This study based on the critical success factors, and we suggest followings : (1) start-ups support, (2) technology support, (3) management support, (4) law/institutional support. We suggested the strategy which based on critical success factors for successful operations of IT industry. This strategy suggested by AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) results and was evaluated by the three groups(IT firms, local government official worker, professor) which have an influence on IT policy. We suggested the priority of policy by AHP technique for successful development of IT industry. As a results, centralization of supporting facilities was perceived as the most important policy by three groups(IT firms, local government official worker, professor). This research contributes to assist planners and policy-makers in supporting IT industry by providing useful information about the suggested strategy, and by suggesting the effective means to assist the IT industry. Also, results of our research will be suggested as a priority of developing policy to assist successful IT industry.

Given the growing deployment of mobile offices, we need to understand the fectors which affect their successful use and implementation. We in this paper present a parsimonious model which integrates the IS success model and the TAM. The main feature of the model is that it allows one to explore the role of mobility of mobile office systems in determining the level of system usage and dependence. Although the mobility is the key property of any mobile system, there is little research effort exerted to understand how mobility affects the traditional IS factors such as perceived ease of use and usefulness. In addition to the system usage, this model also uses dependence as the dependent variable. This is expected to provide richer understanding of the study context. We collected survey data from 1,614 field service workers of a major domestic electronic company. They use PDAs to retrieve information regarding the specifics of the customer service requests and to report what has been done for each service job. The results from SEM analysis show that mobility improves the perceived ease of use which then leads the field service workers to depend more on the PDA systems. Interestingly enough, however, the workers' satisfaction does not cause more frequent use of the system.

This research is an empirical investigation into the dimensions determining the website quality of domestic online shopping malls. A research model that has been formed to find the website quality dimensions is based on DeLone and McLean's information system success model that we adapted to fit the B2C electronic commerce environment by incorporating existing research on IS service quality and website quality. The model incorporates three quality dimensions including the information quality, system quality and service quality, and an attempt was made to empirically examine the relationship between variables of these dimensions and the revisit intent. The results of the study revealed that five quality-related variables were found to importantly contribute to the user's intent to revisit a site : the information accuracy and relevancy, system reliability, ease of use, and on-line support. The paper concludes that the three quality dimensions can serve as a useful framework to evaluate the quality of online shopping mall websites in an attempt to improve the website revisit rate.

Decision tree induction algorithm is one of the most widely used methods in classification problems. However, they could be trapped into a local minimum and have no reasonable means to escape from it if tree algorithm uses top-down search algorithm. Further, if irrelevant or redundant features are included in the data set, tree algorithms produces trees that are less accurate than those from the data set with only relevant features. We propose a hybrid algorithm to generate decision tree that uses genetic programming with sequentially selected features. Correlation-based Feature Selection (CFS) method is adopted to find relevant features which are fed to genetic programming sequentially to find optimal trees at each iteration. The new proposed algorithm produce simpler and more understandable decision trees as compared with other decision trees and it is also effective in producing similar or better trees with relatively smaller set of features in the view of cross-validation accuracy.

The rectilinear Steiner tree problem (RSTP) is to find a minimum-length rectilinear interconnection of a set of terminals in the plane. It is well known that the solution to this problem will be the minimal spanning tree(MST) on some set Steiner points. The RSTP is known to be NP-complete. The RSTP has received a lot of attention in the literature and heuristic and optimal algorithms have been proposed. A key performance measure of the algorithm for the RSTP is the reduction rate that is achieved by the difference between the objective value of the RSTP and that of the MST without Steiner points. A hybrid evolutionary strategy on RSTP based upon nodes set is presented. The computational results show that the hybrid evolutionary strategy is better than the previously proposed other heuristic. The average reduction rate of solutions from the evolutionary strategy is about 11.14%, which is almost similar to that of optimal solutions.

This paper describes a comprehensive approach to examine how technological innovation contributes to the renewal of the firm's competences through its dynamic and reciprocal relationship with R&D and product commercialization. Three theories of technology and innovation (R&D and technological knowledge concept, product-process concept, technological interdependence concept) are used to relate technology and innovation to strategic management. Based on those theories, this paper attempts to identify dynamic relationship between product innovation and process innovation by system dynamics, by investigating the aspect of the dynamic changes of the closed feedback circulation structure in which R&D investments drive technological knowledge accumulation, and such knowledge accumulation actualizes product innovation and process innovation, subsequently resulting in the increase of productivity, customer satisfaction, profit generation, and re-investment on R&D from the created profits. This provides the ability to assess the advantages and disadvantages of different technological innovation strategies and commitments, and the opportunity to explore equilibrium point and suggest a generalized technological innovation model under different industry environment parameters and time-strategies.

From early 1999 years, the mobile telecommunication companies have introduced the mobile telecommunication membership program to attract more customers. However, the severe competition in the mobile telecommunication market has made the mobile telecommunication membership program to be faced with the matured mobile telecommunication market and the mobile number portability. Wain focus of this study is to find what are the core elements of service qualify of the mobile telecommunication membership program. To achieve research objective, we conceptualized the service quality of mobile telecommunication membership program. We also derived hypotheses regarding the relationships between service quality of the program, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty and examined it by using the empirical research methodology. We suggest new marketing strategies of the mobile telecommunication membership program which can be applied to improve the corporate competitiveness.

Over the last decade, the field of supply chain management (SCM) and e-business has received an enormous amount of attention from practitioners and academicians. However, little has been known about how and to what extent small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are implementing SCM initiatives and e-business practices. This paper proposes a comprehensive research model and presents the survey results of these practices of SMEs located in Wisconsin and illinois, U.S., In terms of competitive strategy and priority, value chain activity priority, supply chain and e-business integration focus, SCM best practices implementation focus and challenges, and business performance. The analysis reveals several valuable insights into how SMEs should run their businesses in today's volatile, rapidly changing customer economy.
