  • Let $\Omega$ be a smoothly bounded pseudoconvex domain in $C^{n}$ and let $z^{0}$ $\in$b$\Omega$ a point of finite type. We also assume that the Levi form of b$\Omega$ is comparable in a neighborhood of $z^{0}$ . Then we get precise estimates of the Bergman kernel function, $K_{\Omega}$(z, w), and its derivatives in a neighborhood of $z^{0}$ . .

  • In this paper, we studied the time-domain measurement and analysis techniques using a network analyzer for characterization UWB antenna link radiating impulse signal. For this purpose, we developed the CZT(Chirp z-Transform) algorithm which has characterized zoom-in function and transformed the acquired data from network analyzer to time domain format. Using the CZT algorithm, we proves that it would be better efficient and more faster than the DFT for analyzing the waveform and also be able to zoom-in the arbitrary region.

  • For µ = (µ1, …, µt) (µj > 0), ξ = (z1, …, zt, w) ∈ ℂn1 × … × ℂnt × ℂm, define $${\Omega}({\mu},t)=\{{\xi}{\in}\mathbb{B}_{n_1}{\times}{\cdots}{\times}\mathbb{B}_{n_t}{\times}\mathbb{C}^m:{\parallel}w{\parallel}^2 where $\mathbb{B}_{n_j}$ is the unit ball in ℂnj (1 ≤ j ≤ t), C(χ, µ) is a constant only depending on χ = (n1, …, nt) and µ = (µ1, …, µt), which is a special type of generalized Cartan-Hartogs domain. We will give some sufficient and necessary conditions for the boundedness of some type of operators on Lp(Ω(µ, t), ω) (the weighted Lp space of Ω(µ, t) with weight ω, 1 < p < ∞). This result generalizes the works from certain classes of generalized complex ellipsoids to the generalized Cartan-Hartogs domain Ω(µ, t).

  • The gene encoding the extracellular medium-chain-length poly(3-hydroxyalkanoate) (MCL-PHA) depolymerase of Pseudomonas luteola Ml3-4, $phaZ_{plu}$, was cloned and analyzed. It was found to be 849 bp, with a deduced protein of 282 amino acids, and was revealed to have a typical leader peptide at its N terminus. The amino acid sequence of $PhaZ_{plu}$ revealed relatively low identity (69 to 72%) with those of other Pseudomonas MCL-PHA depolymerases. In comparison with the amino acid sequences of all available MCL-PHA depolymerases, the depolymerase was found to consist of three domains in sequential order; signal peptide, an N-terminal substrate binding domain, and a catalytic domain, indicating that $PhaZ_{plu}$ belongs to the type IV depolymerases family. The enzyme also contained Asn as an oxyanion hole amino acid.

  • $Let \Omega$ be a bounded convex domain in C^n$ with smooth boundary. Let M be a subvariety of $\Omega$ which intersects $\partial$$\Omega$ transversally. Suppose that $\Omega$ is totally convex at any point of $\partial$M in the complex tangential directions.For f $\epsilon$O(M)$\bigcap$/TEX>$C^{\infty}$($\overline{M}$/TEX>), there exists F $\epsilon$ o ($\Omega$))$\bigcap$/TEX>$C^{\infty}$($\overline{\Omega}$/TEX>) such that F(z) = f(z) for z $\epsilon$ M.

  • Green fluorescent protein (GFPuv) was displayed on the surface of ethanol-producing bacteria Zymomonas mobilis using N-terminal domain of ice nucleation protein (INP) as an anchoring motif. To evaluate the ice nucleation protein as plausible anchor motif in Z. mobilis, GFPuv gene was subcloned into Zymomonas expression vector yielding pBBR1MCS-3/pPDC/INPN/GFPuv plasmid., INP-GFPuv fusion protein was expressed in Z. mobilis and its fluorescence was verified by confocal microscopy. The successful display of GFPuv on Zymomonas mobilis suggest that INP anchor motif could be used for future fusion partner in Z. mobilis strain improvement.

  • The complexity of modern power systems often makes it impractical to model it in its entirety for electromagnetic transient studies. Therefore areas outside the immediate area of interest must be represented by some form of Frequency Dependent Network Equivalent (FDNE). The advantage of using z-domain fitting is that it can be directly implemented in a digital simulation program without any loss of accuracy. Fitting in the s-domain always requires "discretizing" a continuous system and the inherent approximations. This paper presents z-domain rational function formulation and demonstrates the use of it for the assessment of the transient response of the Lower South Island of New Zealand. Moreover by using a well publicized test system and providing complete information on the developed FDNE coefficients other researchers easily benchmark their work against this.

  • The inverse z-transform of a z-domain expression of a sequence can be Performed in many different methods among which the recursive computational method is based on the difference equation. In applying this method, a few initial values of the sequence should be obtained separately. Although the existing method generates the right initial values of the sequence, its derivation and justification are not theoretically in view of the definition of z-transform and its shift theorems. In this paper a general approach for formulating a difference equation and for obtaining required initial values of a sequence is proposed, which completely complies to the definition of the z-transform and an interpretation of the validity of the existing method which is theoretically incorrect.
