The purpose of this study was to define element of specialization for interior design education according to investigate samples and analyze situations. The study was composed three schemes as follows, materiality classification of specialization, condition of specialization and survey and analysis of specialization. Materiality specialization classify 4 types which are localization, focus on design process, design and project participation and resource. The specialization conditions, according to classify, were to make cooperation center for practical fields and to find new fields of Interior design education and develope advanced skills.

The purpose of this study is to understand spatial composition techniques and character on the tendency of Deconstructivisim in interior design. Interior space is basically surrounded by architectural surface and influenced by architectural shape. Therefore, the main point of this study is based on the inter relationship of interior design and the trend of contemporary architectural design. This viewpoint is to comment upon current events in Korean situation some degree, but allow the new feeling to interior design and can be enlarge the concepts of spatial composition.

Design method for Involute bevel gears is developed. The developed gear design system can design the optimized gear that minimize the number of pinion teeth with face tooth. Method of optimization is MS(matrix search) which is developed from this study. Design variables are pressure angle 20, transmitted power, gear volume, gear ratio, allowable contact stress and allowable bending stress, etc. Design method developed this study can bd applide to the plane, machine tools, automobiles.

Metal furniture design in this study from the 1960s to the present period of office space by Metal furniture design Metal furniture for social factors in the development. In other words, social and economic characteristics, and the country's formative characterize metal office furniture design characteristics and the development of culture is to provide an opportunity to understand. The scope of this study, including the development of office automation in the 1960s, causing a drastic change in the world at the time of furniture developed in Germany, Italy, the United States, Japan, and examine each country's furniture and metal furniture from the 1960s to the present design trends in office organize, and research methods literature and various data classification by age and by extracting the key trends are established form. The results of this study and the design tends to obscure the distinction between two different aspects of the design appear rarely common or different forms of expression are characterized by two. This furniture range has expanded to use metal and metal to minimize the negative aspects of a conventional flexible image is designed to suit the tastes of modern design and metal furniture design, interior space, except that now it is considered that the most can be identified.

The purpose of this study is to develop a program for elementary school students' scientific experimental design knowledge generation. This study also investigated the effects of their experimental design ability, as well as the change in the type and elaborateness of their experimental design by applying the program. The subjects of this study was 4 classes in 6th grade of an elementary school located in Seoul, KOREA. The classes were divided into experimental and comparative groups. While the treatment was applied to the experimental group, the comparative group was taught using conventional methods. The pre-test and post-test for students' capability of building scientific experimental design knowledge were conducted to compare the ability of experimental design, the change in the type and elaborateness of experimental design. The findings in this study are as follows: First, the program appeared to be effective in improving experimental design ability. Furthermore, the program appeared to be more effective in generating a higher level of the experimental design type and elaborateness. Therefore, in order to improve experimental design knowledge generation ability, the program can be utilized as effective learning model in elementary school.

The importance of applying project management in interior design has been increased due to recent changes in construction business environment along with market opening which demands more systematized and organized project management system. Yet, project management has not been utilized for interior design industry in Korea. This study intends to define the concept of project management in interior design, categorize tasks of each phase in office design project, and establish a table of elements which should be considered in each task. The table can be utilized as a checklist at the designing site. An in-depth analysis was conducted on the tasks in the Designing phase. In short, this study demonstrates five management phases and nine tasks. The differentiated checklist for office design is discussed in the project management of the Design phase. The checklist established in this study can be used as a practical guideline not only for the clients who are not familiar with management of design project, but also for existing project managers and interior designers. Further studies on management of design projects and development of checklist other than office design is needed.

In this study, we aim to suggest direction for landscape design of residential complex in Korea by studying target areas to understand how landscape urbanism was applied to residential landscape design as it is the majority of landscape design in Korea and by closely examining design elements to be considered for design of residential complex based on landscape urbanism theory. For the purpose of the study, some of public multifamily housing complex were selected as target areas and a survey was first conducted to understand how landscape urbanism was applied to design of these target areas. Then, by analyzing the survey results, we identified which elements were of importance to designing of multifamily housing complexes in Korea and how practical design of landscape urbanism works. From this study, we concluded that landscape urbanism theory is not just about design strategies, but more of comprehensive design methodology covering both operation and management and that such theory can be appropriately applied to design of multi-housing complexes in Korea. We also discovered that in order to apply landscape urbanism in design stage for multi-housing complex, selecting which design strategy/words in the previous study is not what's important, but comprehensive understanding and interpretation of design languages is key.

정보디자인 원리는 1970년대의 출판디자인을 포함한 그래픽디자인 분야에서 비롯되었으나, 리처드 솔 워먼(Richard Saul Wurman)이 인터넷 환경에서 정보디자인과 그것의 실질적인 적용에 관한 문제를 탐구하면서부터 현재와 같이 정보디자인이 멀티미디어디자인 영역에서 매우 중요한 위치를 차지하기에 이르렀다. 그러나 아직까지도 멀티미디어디자인상에서 정보디자인 개념의 정체성 확보를 위한 이렇다할만한 연구가 부족한 실정이며, 경우에 따라선 과거 그래픽디자인 분야에서 정의되었던 ‘정보의 재현 및 시각화’라는 측면으로 대단히 협의적 관점에서 정보디자인을 조망하는 경향이 나타나고 있다. 이와 같은 맥락에서 본 연구는 과거의 전통적 정보디자인과 대비되는 상대적 관점으로 현재의 멀티미디어디자인에서 정보디자인 특성을 고찰하였다. 연구결과로서 멀티미디어디자인에서 정보디자인 특성은 '컨텍스트 제공과 정보 위계 발견', '통합적 사고에 의한 접근과 정보 통제권 공유', '다차원 매체 활용과 컨텐트 중심', '정보 질 보장과 통합적 정보 의미 해석', '쌍방향 정보 표출과 사용자 지식 확장'의 크게 5가지 측면으로 제시하였다. 본 연구를 토대로 향후에는 인터페이스디자인, 상호작용디자인, 경험디자인과 같은 정보디자인 인접분야와의 상호 의존적 또는 배타적 특성에 대한 담론이 제시될 수 있기를 기대한다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze relations between digital characteristics and formative features of fashion design in digital era, to find out the best way to make desirable clothes in the future affected by digital characteristics. The methods of this study are documentary research of previous studies and case study. For the study of formative features of fashion design, 100 kinds of pictures have been selected from photographs in fashion magazines, professional books and internet sites. In the theoretical study, digital characteristics are limitless repetition, compressibility, interactivity, ease of deformation and mobility. And formative features of digital design are plasticity & geometry, assemblage, joints & connections, transparency and deformation. The results of analysis are as follow. Formative features of fashion design in digital era are classified nonlinearity, variability and hybrid. There are organic relations between digital characteristics and formative features of fashion design as well as between digital characteristics and formative features of digital design. Also, there is significant similarity between formative features of digital design and formative features of fashion design in digital era.
