대학생의 부정적 심리성향과 학업열의가 자기주도적 학습능력에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Academic Engagement and Negative Psychological Tendency on Self-Directed Learning Ability among Undergraduate Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore self-directed learning ability and its affecting factors among undergraduate students. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study design was used. Using a convenience sampling method, data were collected from 196 undergraduate students enrolled in one national university. Negative psychological tendency (i.e. Type D personality), academic engagement, and self-directed learning ability were assessed using a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, and analysis of covariance, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple linear regression, using SPSS/WIN 23.0 program. Results: The mean age of the students was $21.61{\pm}2.40years$ and 56.6% were male students. Approximately, one third (n=67, 34.2%) of the students had Type D personality. The average scores of academic engagement and self-directed learning ability were $3.01{\pm}1.14$ and $3.46{\pm}0.50$, respectively. After controlling for sociodemographic variables, the Type D personality and academic engagement were significant predictors of self-directed learning ability (${\beta}=.64$, p<.001; ${\beta}=-.13$, p=.021, respectively). This model explained 53.6% of the variance in self-directed learning ability. Conclusion: The study identified that Type D personality and academic engagement affect self-directed learning ability of undergraduate students, one in a negative way, the other in a positive way. Educators and educational policy makers need to make efforts to include interventions and strategies that increase academic engagement and change negative psychological dispositions such as D-type personality in the undergraduate education curriculum.

COVID-19으로 인한 보건계열 대학생의 비대면 수업 만족도 관련 요인 (Factors related to satisfaction with non-face-to-face classes of health science students due to COVID-19 pandemic)

  • Objectives: To investigate the perceived quality of classes, academic emotions, and learning achievement levels associated with the non-face-to-face classes of health science students, and to analyze the factors related to class satisfaction. Methods: Using a questionnaire, 238 health science students were surveyed regarding the quality of classes, academic emotions, and learning achievement levels. Factors related to calss satisfaction were analyzed using stepwise multiple regression. Results: Lecture types that the students were most satisfied with were 'video lectures using PPT' and 'recorded lectures provided by LMS', while 'real-time video lectures' were scored the lowest (p=0.005). Factors affecting non-face-to-face class satisfaction were perceived achievement (β=0.425, p<0.001), learning content (β=0.265, p<0.001), learning emotion (β=0.171, p<0.001), and learning environment (β=0.137, p=0.012). The adjusted explanatory power for this model was 63.9%. Conclusions: To increase the satisfaction of health science students with non-face-to-face classes, it is necessary to prepare an institutional foundation and to develop an educational program that can increase perceived achievement.

간호대학생의 완벽주의 성향과 임상실습현장지도자의 돌봄에 대한 지각이 임상실습 중 경험한 무례함에 미치는 영향 (The influence of nursing students' perfectionism tendency and perception of instructor caring on incivility experienced by nursing students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the influences of nursing students perfectionism tendencies and their perception of instructor caring on incivility experienced by nursing students during clinical practice. Methods: A descriptive correlational study was conducted. The participants were 244 nursing students from five universities in B city. Data were analyzed using an independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Scheffé test and a stepwise regression analysis. Results: The mean score for incivility in nursing students was 2.61 out of 5 points. The explanatory power of the model for incivility was in nursing students 52.8% of the variance in training in student's university hospital (𝛽=-.15, p=.002), total period of clinical practice (𝛽=.17, p<.001), confidence through caring (𝛽=-.23, p<.001), respectful sharing (𝛽=-.15, p=.005), supportive learning climate (𝛽=-.15, p=.005), self-oriented perfectionism (𝛽=.14, p=.004), and socially prescribed perfectionism (𝛽=.18, p<.001). Conclusion: The research results suggest that instructor caring is an important factor in regard to the incivility of nursing students. Organizational efforts and institutional devices will be needed to improve the incivility in clinical environments. By communicating with students and showing them respect, clinical nurses will help nursing students cope with incivility and recognize the clinical practice education environment positively.

Assessment of growing condition variables on alfalfa productivity

  • This study was conducted to assess the impact of growing condition variables on alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) productivity. A total of 197 alfalfa yield results were acquired from the alfalfa field trials conducted by the South Korean National Agricultural Cooperative Federation or Rural Development Administration between 1983 and 2008. The corresponding climate and soil data were collected from the database of the Korean Meteorological Administration. Twenty-three growing condition variables were developed as explaining variables for alfalfa forage biomass production. Among them, twelve variables were chosen based on the significance of the partial-correlation coefficients or potential agricultural values. The selected partial correlation coefficients between the variables and alfalfa forage biomass ranged from -0.021 to 0.696. The influence of the selected twelve variables on yearly alfalfa production was summarized into three dominant factors through factor analysis. Along with the accumulated temperature variables, the loading scores of the daily mean temperature higher than 25℃ were over 0.88 in factor 1. The sunshine duration at temperature between 0℃-25℃ was 0.939 in factor 2. Precipitation days were 0.82, which was the greatest in factor 3. Stepwise regression applied with the three dominant factors resulted in the coefficients of factors 1, 2, and 3 for 0.633, 0.485, and 0.115, respectively, and the R-square of the model was 0.602. The environmental conditions limiting alfalfa growth, such as daily temperature higher than 25℃ or daily mean temperature affected annual alfalfa production most substantially among the growing condition variables. Therefore, future cultivar selection should consider the capability of alfalfa to be tolerant to extreme summer weather along with biomass production potential.

편마비 환자의 퇴원후 적응상태와 관련요인에 대한 분석적 연구 (A Study on Factors Influencing The State of Adaptation of The Hemiplegic Patients)

  • The purposes of this study are to delineate a profile of the state of a stroke patient's adaptation at 3 months after hospitalization and to explore the relationship between the level of adaptation and the variables which influence the adaptation of hemiplegic patients. To these ends, theoretical framework was derived basically from the stress adaptation model. The basic assumption underlying the level of adaptation is influenced by the presenting focal, contextual and residual stimuli. This group of stimuli is further operationalized and represented by a perception of stress. which is the perceived effect of the disability and by the mediating variables such as sociodemographic factors as an external conditioning variables and perceived social support and hardiness personality characteristics as an internal intervening variables. The dependent varibales in this study is the level of physical, psychological and social adaptation and is hypothesized to be a function of the interaction between 3 sets of variables namely, the perceived disability effect, external conditioning variables and internal intevening varibles. A total of fourty three subjects from 3 general hospitals in Seoul were observed and interviewed with the aid of 7 structured instruments. The data were collected twice on each subject : first at the pre-discharge period arid at 3 months post-discharge from hospital for the second time. The study was carried out for the period from February to August, 1988. The instruments used for the study include 4 existing scales and 3 scales developed by the researcher for this study. They are : 1) The ADL dependency scale and the scale of the clinical physical functions for the assessment of physical adaptation. 2) the SDS(self report of depression) to measure the level of psychological adaptation. 3) The scale for the amount of social activities for the measurement of the level of social adaptation. 4) The scale for the perceived effect of disability for the measurement of the focal stimuli. 5) The health related hardiness scale and the perceived interpersonal support self evaluation list(ISEL) for the measurement of the hardiness personality character and the perceived social support. The data obtained were analyzed using percentage, oneway ANOVA, Pearson coefficients correlation and stepwise multiple regression. The findings provide valuable information about the present level of physical adaptation at 3 months after discharge. The patient revealed a decreased ADL dependency and lowered limitation of physical function as compared with pre - discharge state. Psycholcgically, the average degree of depression at follow up was within normal range of depression. Socially, the amount of social activities was very low. The one way ANOVA and the correlational analysis revealed the relationship between the 3 sets of variables and the adaptation level as follows : 1) The perceived disability effect was related to the degree of the depression and the amount of social activities but was not related to the physical adaptation. 2) Among the sociodemographic variables, sex and education were related to the difference of ADL dependency and the change of physical function. These factors indicate that women more than men and educated more than the less educated were found more independent. The education was also related to the degree of depression suggesting that the higher the educational level, the more well adapted the patients were both physically and psychologically. Age, marital status and job state were not found to be related to the patient's adaptation level. 3) Among the internal intervening variables, the health related hardiness characteristic was related to the differences of ADL dependency, physical functions and the social activities, indicating that the higher the hardiness character the higher the level of physical and social adaptation. 4) The perceived social support, another internal intervening variable, was related to the degree of depression and the social activities. This data suggest that the higher the perception of social support, the better adapted the patients were psychogically and socially. In summarizing the results of the correlational analysis, the level of physical adaptation was influenced by sex, the years of education and the hardiness character. The level of psychological adaptation was influenced by the years of education, the perceived disability effect and the perceived social support. And the level of social adaptation was influenced by the perceived disability effect, the hardiness character and the perceived social support. The stepwise multiple regression analysis shows findings as follows : 1) The most important factor to explain the difference of ADL dependency was sex, indicating females were more independent than males. 2) The most important factor to explain the difference of physical function and the degree of depression was the patient's education level. 3) The strongest explaining factor for the amount of social activities was perceived self esteem(one of the subconcepts of perceived social support). Thus the most important factors influencing the level of adaptation were found to be sex, education, the hardiness character and self esteem. From the above findings, the significance of this study can be delineated as follows : 1) Corroboration of the assumed relationship between the various variables and the adaptation level as suggested in the conceptual model. 2) Support for the feasibility of the cognitive approach for nursing intervention such as hardness character training, counselling and teaching for self-care in the chronic patients.

중소병원 간호사의 직장 내 괴롭힘, 직무스트레스, 조직몰입이 이직의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Workplace Bullying, Job Stress, and Organizational Commitment on Turnover Intention of Nurses in Small and Medium-sized Hospitals)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중소병원 간호사의 직장 내 괴롭힘, 직무스트레스, 조직몰입, 이직의도를 파악하고, 이직의도 영향요인을 확인하기 위함이다. 본 연구 대상자는 G 광역시와 J도에 소재한 300병상 미만 6개 중소병원 간호사 140명을 대상으로 자료를 편의 표집 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Win 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 서술적 통계, T 검정, 분산분석, 상관분석, 단계적 다중 회귀분석을 이용하여 분석하였다. 회귀모형은 통계적으로 유의했고(F=37.11, p<.001), 이직의도에 대한 설명력은 34.2%였다. 대상자의 이직의도에 영향을 미치는 변수는 조직몰입(β=-.41, p<.001), 직무스트레스(β=.25, p=.005)순이었다. 질 높은 의료서비스 제공을 위해서는 인력관리가 중요한 문제이다. 본 연구결과 중소병원 간호사들의 이직의도감소를 위해서는 직무스트레스는 낮추고, 조직몰입을 높이는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 추후 중소병원 간호사들의 이직의도를 감소시키고 효율적인 의료인력관리를 도모하기 위해서 중소병원 간호사 맞춤형 프로그램 개발 및 적용이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

임상치과위생사의 심리적 안녕감이 감성지능에 미치는 영향 (The effect of clinical dental hygienist psychological well-being on emotional intelligence in an area)

  • 본 연구는 임상치과위생사의 심리적 안녕감이 감성지능에 미치는 영향 요인을 분석하였다. 연구기간은 2019년 9월 1일부터 11월 30일까지로 전라북도에 근무하는 임상치과위생사 180명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 18.0을 활용하여 치과위생사의 심리적 안녕감과 감성지능의 정도는 평균과 표준편차, 직무관련특성에 따른 심리적 안녕감과 감성지능의 차이는 t-test와 one-way ANOVA, 사후검증은 Scheffé test, 상관관계는 Pearson correlation, 감성지능에 미치는 영향요인은 단계적 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 심리적 안녕감은 감성지능과 유의한 양의 상관관계(r=.596, p<.001)로 심리적 안녕감이 높을수록 감성지능은 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 임상치과위생사의 감성지능은 적합된 회귀모형으로 유의한 것으로 나타났으며(F=116.575, p<.05), 설명력은 53.6%였다. 독립변수 중 긍정적 대인관계(β=.569)가 가장 큰 영향력을 보이는 변수로 나타났으며. 심리적 안녕감, 자아수용, 개인의 성장, 환경에 대한 통제력과 임상경력이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구결과로 심리적 안녕감이 감성지능과 연관된 관계가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 앞으로 임상치과위생사의 심리적 안녕감을 증진시키고 감성지능을 강화하는 효율적인 전략을 구축하고자 한다.

대학병원간호사의 간호조직문화, 조직커뮤니케이션만족도가 직무착근도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Nursing Organizational Culture and Organizational Communication Satisfaction on Job Embeddedness in University Hospital Nurses)

  • 본 연구는 병원간호사의 간호조직문화, 조직커뮤니케이션만족, 직무착근도의 관계를 확인하고, 직무착근도에 미치는 영향요인을 파악하기 위함이다. C시 소재한 대학병원에 근무하고 있는 간호사 238명을 대상으로 2017년 8월 1일~8월 10일까지 자료수집 하였다. 자료는 SPSS WIN 22.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여, 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Stepwise Multiple Linear Regression으로 확인하였다. 본 연구결과 간호조직문화는 5점 만점에 평균 3.32±0.33점 이었고, 조직커뮤니케이션만족은 5점 만점에 평균 3.19±0.37점 이었으며, 직무착근도는 5점 만점에 평균 3.19±0.44점이었다. 일반적 특성에 따른 직무착근도의 차이는 연령(F=9.00, p<.001), 학력(F=13.24, p<.001), 직위(t=-5.42, p<.001), 결혼(t=-3.11, p=.002), 근무경력(F=10.55, p<.001), 근무형태(F=10.99, p<.001)에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 직무착근도와 간호조직문화(r=.502, p<.001), 조직커뮤니케이션만족(r=.673, p<.001)은 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 직무착근도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 조직커뮤니케이션만족(β=.575 p=.000), 근무경력 '10년 이상'(β=.342 p=.000), 간호조직문화(β=.203 p=.000), 근무경력 '5년 이상~10년 미만'(β=.121 p=.000)의 순이었고, 모형의 설명력은 57.4%이었다. 이상의 결과에 따라 병원간호사의 간호직무에 착근도를 높이기 위하여 조직커뮤니케이션만족도를 수시로 파악하고, 근무경력, 간호조직문화 등을 고려한 간호실무 및 교육중재 프로그램 개발이 필요하다.

플립러닝을 활용한 건강사정 및 실습 교육 효과 (Effect of Flipped Learning Education in Physical Examination and Practicum)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 대학생을 대상으로 플립러닝을 적용한 교육방법의 효과를 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 플립러닝을 적용하기 전과 후의 자기주도학습 준비도, 핵심역량을 파악하고, 플립러닝을 적용한 후 교수-학생 상호작용, 학습만족도, 학습동기를 파악하여, 플립러닝 적용 후 각 변수의 상관관계를 살펴보고, 학습동기에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 단일군 전후 비교 연구로 대상자는 경기도 S시 일개 간호대학에서 플립러닝을 활용하여 건강사정 및 실습을 수강하는 2학년 학생을 대상으로 하였다. 최종 분석은 68명을 대상으로 하였고, 사전 사후의 차이는 paired t-test로, 각 변수간 상관관계는 Pearson's correlation coefficient로 분석하였으며, 종속변수인 학습동기에 미치는 영향은 단계적 다중회귀방법을 사용하였다. 그 결과 자기주도학습 준비도는 사전 사후 통계적으로 유의하게 증가하였고, 핵심역량은 그 차이가 유의하지 않았다. 플립러닝교육 후 학습동기는 자기주도학습 준비도(r=0.33, p=.006), 대학생 핵심역량(r=0.51, p<.001), 교수-학생 상호작용(r=0.72, p<.001), 학습만족도(r=0.79, p<.001)와 유의한 정적 상관관계를 보였고, 모든 다른 변수들 간에도 정적으로 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 학습동기에 영향을 미치는 요인은 학습만족도와 교수-학생 상호작용이었으며, 이 2개 변수로 구축된 회귀모형의 학습동기에 대한 설명력은 71.3% (F=80.66, p<.001)였다. 따라서 플립러닝 교육을 적용하였을 때 학습동기를 증진시키기 위해서는 학습만족도를 증진시키고, 교수-학생 상호작용을 활발히 하는 전략의 마련이 필요하겠다.

A Whole Genome Association Study on Meat Quality Traits Using High Density SNP Chips in a Cross between Korean Native Pig and Landrace

  • A whole genome association (WGA) study was performed to detect significant polymorphisms for meat quality traits in an $F_2$ cross population (N = 478) that were generated with Korean native pig sires and Landrace dams in National Livestock Research Institute, Songwhan, Korea. The animals were genotyped using Illumina porcine 60k SNP beadchips, in which a set of 46,865 SNPs were available for the WGA analyses on ten carcass quality traits; live weight, crude protein, crude lipids, crude ash, water holding capacity, drip loss, shear force, CIE L, CIE a and CIE b. Phenotypes were regressed on additive and dominance effects for each SNP using a simple linear regression model, after adjusting for sex, sire and slaughter stage as fixed effects. With the significant SNPs for each trait (p<0.001), a stepwise regression procedure was applied to determine the best set of SNPs with the additive and/or dominance effects. A total of 106 SNPs, or quantitative trait loci (QTL) were detected, and about 32 to 66% of the total phenotypic variation was explained by the significant SNPs for each trait. The QTL were identified in most porcine chromosomes (SSCs), in which majority of the QTL were detected in SSCs 1, 2, 12, 13, 14 and 16. Several QTL clusters were identified on SSCs 12, 16 and 17, and a cluster of QTL influencing crude protein, crude lipid, drip loss, shear force, CIE a and CIE b were located between 20 and 29 Mb of SSC12. A pleiotropic QTL for drip loss, CIE L and CIE b was also detected on SSC16. These QTL need to be validated in commercial pig populations for genetic improvement in meat quality via marker-assisted selection.
