농촌주민의 지역사회조직 참여 실태 분석 (Socio-demographic Heterogeneity of Community Participation in Rural, Korea)

  • This study aims to examine the socio-demographic heterogeneity of community participation in rural Korea. Data was collected through interviews with 1,870 rural householders and housewives who have lived in Up or Myen as an administrative unit of rural communities, and analyzed by the SPSS/PC Win V.10 program. The statistical techniques used for this study were frequency and percentile. The major findings of this study were as follows. Firstly, the extent to which rural people have participated in community organizations were: cooperative groups, $80.8\%$; religious groups, $20.6\%$; learning groups, $12.7\%$; political groups, $9.8\%;$ civil groups $6.7\%$; and voluntary groups, $5.3\%$. Whereas the numbers were high for community participation in groups related to agricultural production, participation in civil and voluntary groups were lower. Secondly, it showed that people who lived in urbanized and high population density areas were more likely to participate in community groups. The diversity of community organizations was different according to the level of rurality. Thirdly, farm householders were more likely to participate in religious, civil and voluntary groups than non-farm householders. Fourthly, people with higher education, females, those in the 40 to 50 age groups were more likely to participate in community organizations. Fifthly, even though men are more likely to participate in political parties, women were more likely then men to agree that women should participate in political parties. This empirical study could support the results of Sundeen (1988) and Wilson and Musick (1997) in that education was related positively to community participation. In addition, we concluded that community participation in a rural development process has two main considerations: philosophical and pragmatic. This implies that there is room for government to enable and facilitate 'true' community participation. That can be done through policy reform which creates a permissive environment for community decision-making and input, in addition to simply supporting community development through financial assistance.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the user distribution and the accessibilities, and the factors restricting the use of House of Culture, Gwua-Chun city, and to discuss and propose an improved management for House of Culture. The survey and analyses in this paper have showed some considerable aspects of House of Culture. Smaller culture facilities are more effective with respects to the programs and the use of rooms. Most of users of the facilities are housewives and retired old people because those who have jobs can not use in the daytime when the facilities are open. Many cases of House of Culture are parts of village offices, libraries, and culture centers. The rooms are very efficiently composed. Users of House of Culture want larger space facilities and lecture programs for health and sports.

농촌주부의 식이섭취와 혈액성상에 관한연구 -경기일부지역을 중심으로- (A Study on Food Intake and Blood Contents of Rural Housewives)

  • 농촌 주부의 식생활상태는 건강과 밀접한 관계를 가지므로 식생활환경과 식사내용 및 혈액 성상에 대한 내용을 분석 비교하였다. 대상자의 학력은 낮으며 가족수는 전국평균보다 많으며 약한 저체중상태가 60%나 되었다. 가정기기의 사용률은 중간 정도이나 농기계 보유율은 1.36대에 불과 하였으며 위생생활은 이루어진다고 볼 수 있으나 문화생활수준은 매우 낮았다. 혈압은 정상보다 낮으며 농부증은 4.72점으로서 요관찰대상점수였다. 식품군별 섭취량은 전반적으로 낮았으며 곡류와 채소가 주류이고 동물성식품은 빈약하였다. 영양소는 비타민C 및 아니아신을 제외하고 모두 권장량에 미치지 못하였으며 칼슘은 66.3%, 철분은 56.6%로서 특히 낮았다. 혈액성상은 혈청단백질은 정상으로 지질, 칼슘, 마그네슘 등은 정상범위는 벗어나지 않으나 낮은 수준이었다. 혈청철분과 헤모글로빈, 헤마토크릿은 낮은 수치가 많아 빈혈빈도가 높음을 보였으며 혈청 ferritin은 특히 낮았다. 각 요인의 상관관계를 보면, 곡류를 혈청마그네슘과 높은 상관을 보였고 혈청콜레스테롤은 곡류, 유지류, 채소류, 육류의 섭취와 상관을 보이고 체중과 신체충실지수와 밀접한 상관을 보였다. 빈혈과 관련하여 볼 때 헤모글로빈과 헤마토크릿 수치는 과일류, 생선류의 섭추와는 음의 상관을, 신체충실지수와는 양의 상관을 보였다.

수도권과 농어촌 주부들의 선호식품에 대한 조사연구 (Survey on the Favorite Food of Housewives Lived in the Metropolitan Area and Rural Area)

  • 수도권과 농어촌 주부들 677명을 대상으로 하여 선호식물을 조사한 결과와 이 결과에 따른 수도권과 농어촌간의 상관관계는 다음과 같다. 수도권과 농어촌 주부들 간에 가장 선호하는 주식은 밥류중 쌀밥이었고, 국수류중 냉면이었으며, 부식은 쇠고기국, 된장찌개, 갈비구이, 쇠고기, 깻잎장아찌, 새우튀김, 배추김치 등이었으며, 음료는 수정과, 차류는 코피, 과자류는 약과, 건강식품류중에서는 인삼이었다. 수도권과 농어촌 주부들 간에 장아찌류는 완전상관 관계에 있는 반면, 빵류, 과실류, 나물류 그리고 탕류 등은 역상관계에 있었다. 그외 차류, 건상식품류, 볶음류, 과자류, 국수류, 찜류, 튀김류, 밥류, 김치류, 떡류, 조림류 및 음료류는 대체로 선호식품에 대하여 상관관계가 있었다.

농촌 성인 여성의 비만도와 혈청지질에 관한 연구 -무안군을 중심으로- (A Study of Serum Lipids and the Obesity of Housewives in Mooan, Chonnam)

  • This study was to investigate the level of serum lipids and obesity in housewives in Mooan, and relationships between them. The average age, height and weight were 51.1 years, 154.3cm and 58.3kg respectively. The level of obesity of subjects was higher than that of housewives in other areas investigated in other studies. BMI and RBW underestimated in the obese compared to BIA. The amounts of lean body mass and total body water of subjects above 60 years old were smaller than those of forties and their BMI and RBW were lower than those of forties. However, their body fat percentage was nearly same as that of forties. Serum HDL-cholesterol(HDL-C) of subjects was lower than 55mg/㎗, the lower limit of normal range. Triglyceride of subjects above 60years old was higher than the 95th percentile of those of the same age with reference to Mayo clinic. The serum total cholesterol(TC) showed positive correlation with LDL-cholesterol(LDL-C) and TC/HDL-C(p<0.001). LDL-C showed positive correlation with TC(p<0.001), but negative correlation with HDL-C(p<0.05). HDL-C showed negative correlation with triglyceride(p<0.05). TC/HDL-C showed a positive correlation with triglyceride(p<0.05). HDL-C was the serum lipid which showed the highest correlation with obesity and body composition. It showed a negative correlation with the percentage of body fat(p<0.001), total body fat(p<0.001), BMI(p< 0.05) and RBW(p<0.05). TC/HDL-C showed positive correlation with the percentage of body fat(p<0.01) and total body fat(p<0.05). As the result of above, it is needed to make more researches to find out the proper method to estimate the obesity of subjects and educate subjects in Mooan about nutritional information for obesity.

경기지역 김치 이용실태에 관한 연구 (A Survey on Kimchi Utilization in Kyunggi province)

  • In order to survey on utilization of Kimchi, fermented vegetable food in korean families, 439 households in Kyunggi province were investigated. The results are as follows ; 1. 99% of housewives served at least 1 or more kinds of Kimchi every meal. 2. 45% of wives answered Kimchi serving was always necessary but same answered children were only 34%. 3. The taste of Kimchi was decided according to husbands(47%) in family. 4. The Kimchi preparing method was learned from their mother(65%). 5. The main kind of Kimchi was chinese cabbage Kimchi all the year round, and 88% of the subjects answered that the variety of Kimchi was different with season. 6. Almost all housewives(99%) prepared Kimchang Kimchi and 97% of subjects made 3 kinds. 7. In quantitative order, the main sorts of Kimchang Kimchi were chinese cabbage Kimchi, Dong chimee, Chonggak Kimchi and baik Kimchi. 8. The period of Kimchang Kimchi use was form Nov. to next year march(36%), and only 11% of them prepared suitable. But the excess amount of Kimchi applied other dishes and 8% of them discarded the remaining. 9. The Kimchang Kimch was kept underground(51%) and laying outdoor using Kimchang jar(32%). It was different with style of shelter.

농촌지역 코시안가정주부의 의사소통능력, 문화적 정체성이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Communication and Cultural Identity on Marital Satisfaction among Kosian Housewives in Rural Areas)

  • 본 연구는 농촌지역 코시안가정주부들의 사회인구학적 특성 및 의사소통능력과 문화적 정체성이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향을 규명하고자 한 것이다. 이를 위해 경상북도 예천군과 봉화군을 임의표집하였으며, 샘플의 크기는 84명이다. 조사결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 코시안가정주부들은 주로 경제적 이유로 결혼하였으나, 현재 경제적 수준은 매우 열악하며, 둘째, 문화적 정체성은 한국문화 정체성이(평균 3.52/5점(${\pm}0.598$)) 모국문화 정체성(평균 3.27/5점(${\pm}0.611$))보다 유의하게 높게 나타났으나 보통수준이고, 결혼만족도(평균3.60/5점(${\pm}0.630$)) 역시 보통수준으로 나타났다. 셋째, 모국문화 정체성은 연령, 국적, 모국의 직업, 종교, 자녀수, 결혼기간, 결혼이유와 통계적으로 유의한 수준으로 나타났으나, 한국문화 정체성은 이들 변수와 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 보여주지 않았다. 넷째, 과반수이상이 의사소통능력수준이 낮고, 의사소통능력이 높은 집단이 낮은 집단보다 한국문화 정체성이 더 높았다. 다섯째, 결혼만족도에 가장 영향을 미치는 변수는 한국문화 정체성이었으며, 다음은 년평균 소득, 학력, 모국문화 정체성 순이었다. 한국문화 정체성과 년평균 소득은 높을수록, 모국문화 정체성과 학력은 낮을수록 결혼만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로 조사결과에 대한 사회복지실천적 함의를 논의하였다.

경남지역 농촌 의.식.주생활 양식에 관한 조사 연구 (A study on Rural Clothing, Dietray, Housing Style of Living in Kyeong-Sang-Nam-Do)

  • This study is proposed to research the rural clothing, dietary and housing style of living in order to adapt a basis which is supposed to improve the quality of rural life. The sample in this research comes from Daehang 1 Li, Bubuk Myun, Miryang Gun, Kyungnam, and the results are as following; Generally rural housewives are unconcerned with fashion or its information, instead, they care for the casual wear which represents economic and active life style. Because of their financial problems, inpurchasing, they spend only a small money without plan. When they launder Clothes, they use washing bat and pannel which is easy to break fabrics, and they ineffectively use to dry it by hands twisting. The total food intake per person in a day is 1170.6gram, and all nutrients intakes except fat and calcium exceed the recommended dietary allowances. But 90.3% of the food intakes are plant food, and the average food items taken per day per househod is 11.9items which are not so various, which represents the shortage of the nutrient quality. Both the nutrition knowledge score and the food habit score are very low. Therefore, in order to enhance the quality of clothing and diet in rural life, they need to learn clothing and nutrition management for their enlightment. The most comprehensive type of farmhouse site plan take the shape of ㄱ and ㄴ, and for the most part main building is the floor plan which includes 3-4 spans in front of the change from the type of traditional house, throught the revised one, to the type of newly built house. In main building of the farmhouse, kitchen, Kunbang and Chakunbang are extended to their real space, and both utility and the bathroom are added to build, and Malu is transformed into the living space.

환자가 있는 농촌가족의 식행동과 건강행동 - 환자가 없는 농촌가족과 비교 - (The Patient Families' Diet and Health Behavior Living in Rural, Korea - Comparison of Non-Patient Families Living in Rural -)

  • Recent trends in agricultural globalization have brought on a crisis to our already impoverished Korean farmers. This study was proposed to assist in comparing the health and dietary characteristics of farmer families that have chronic disease patients to farmer families that do not have chronic disease patients. For the study, 1870 families were selected from 9 rural Korean provinces. Trained evaluators interviewed farmer housewives to collect demographic, health behavior, and dietary relative information about family members. Statistical analyses were performed using SAS (ver 8.2). Chi-square tests and General Linear Models were also used. In general, patient family members were older than non-patient family members. For patient families, the mean age was 70.4 for husbands and 64.3 for wives. For non-patient families, the mean age was 64.2 for husbands and 57.3 for wives. Therefore we analyzed the data after we stratified the subjects based on the wife's age of 65. Patient families snacked less and 'dined out' less than non-patient families. However, they consumed cookies more frequently, and milk and fruits less frequently, when compared to non-patient families. There were no significant differences in nutrient supplementation, and/or instant food intake frequencies between patient families and non-patient families. Sixty-two percent of patient family members complained about health problems such arthritis, lumbago, numbness, shoulder pain, dizziness, and others, whereas 52olo of non-patient family members complained about Farmers' syndrome. Husband cigarette smoking was not significantly different among groups. However, the smoking patterns of the wives was significantly higher in patient families. Alcohol consumption was also higher in patient families. In summary, it was determined that rural patient families had poorer dietary behavior and poorer health in general, when compared to non-patient families, and accordingly, diverse community-level health and nutritional support are suggested to solve the farmers' health problems and to improve their quality of life.

일부 농촌 지역사회 주부의 식품섭취상태와 그 관련된 요인 및 영양교육지표에 관한 연구 - 경기도 남양주군 수동면 중심으로 - (A Study on Food Intake of a Rural Community Housewives with the Related Factors and Nutrition Education-Index)

  • This study is aimed at developing a nutritional task of a community' as a public health activities of Su-Dong Myun, Demonstration Project area of Ewha Womans University. The content of this study is the points of nutritional diagnosis for the residents nutritional evaluation, the analysis of the related factors and the educational material with Nutrition Education-Index. Two hundreds housewives were examined during the period of Jan. 20 to Jan. 30 in 1989. 1. In terms of the housewives' age, those aged 30 to 39 were 32.5% which was the highest and educational level, graduation of primary school was 31.5% which was the highest. The housewives who had no job were 60.0% and those who participated in community activities were 56.5%. 2. In terms of the points of nutritional diagnosis, 50 to 74 points were 51.5% which was the highest and total average was $65.1{\pm}15.0$. 3. As for the points of nutritional knowledge, the average was 54.9 points, attitude was 77.4 points and eating practice was 70.8points. 4. The number of clinical symptoms of nutritional deficiency was 16.1 ones per person. 5. As for the relation which nutritional knowledge, attitude, eating practice exert on one another, nutritional knowledge has negative correlation with eating practice(-0.04) and attitude has some correlation with eating practice(0.17). 6. The variable having to do with the points of nutritional diagnosis showed the highest correlation coefficient(0.55) as the points of nutritional knowledge. 7 As for the variable having to do with the number of the symptoms of nutritional deficiency, the higher points of knowledge(-0.05) is, the higher the totai averse points of nutritional diagnisis(-0.09) is, negative correlation was appeared. 8. The result in which the variant having to do with the number of clinical symptoms of nutritional deficiency was analyzed by multiple regression analysis showed that the lack of time for preparing meals in non agricultural households made the greatest contribution (9% explained) and the households having vegetable garden made the second greatest contribution(3% explained).
