  • The purpose of this paper is to study n-dimensional QR-submanifolds of (p-1) QR-dimension immersed in a quaternionic projective space $QP^{(n+p)/4}$ of constant Q-sectional curvature 4 and especially to determine such submanifolds under the additional condition concerning with shape operator.

  • Let ($S_{\alpha}(n))_{n{\geq}1}$ be the lexicographically greatest Sturmian word of slope ${\alpha}$ > 0. For a fixed ${\sigma}$ > 1, we consider Dirichlet series of the form ${\nu}_{\sigma}({\alpha})$ := ${\Sigma}_{n=1}^{\infty}s_{\alpha}(n)n^{-{\sigma}}$. This paper studies the singular properties of the real function ${\nu}_{\sigma}$, and the Lebesgue-Stieltjes measure whose distribution is given by ${\nu}_{\sigma}$.

  • By introducing some parameters and using the way of weight function and the technic of real analysis and complex analysis, a new Hilbert-type integral inequality with a best constant factor and a combination kernel involving two mean values is given, which is an extension of Hilbert's integral inequality. As applications, the equivalent form and the reverse forms are considered.

  • In this paper, the real-time compressed code generation method for the biological signal data, especially for the Electrocardiogram, is studied. For this purpose, variable length code is introduced. And from this code, we get a exactly the same reconstructed signal data as the original. Experimental results show that this program reduces the data rate by a factor of about 8, and codes the result in a form convenient for analysis.

  • We studied the characteristics of the compound electrode and found that the compound electrode provides the four-electrode method in a compact form. We developed a new method of measuring the skin impedance using simple electrodes at low frequencies. At high frequencies where the effect of internal tissue impedance is not negligible, we used the compensation method using compound electrodes since they measure the voltage right under the skin. At 50 kHz, we measured the real part of the skin impedance of less than $80\;{\Omega}$ on the thorax.

  • Maximum likelihood method is utilized to estimate the two parameters of generalized exponential distribution based on grouped and censored data. This method does not give closed form for the estimates, thus numerical procedure is used. Reliability measures for the generalized exponential distribution are calculated. Testing the goodness of fit for the exponential distribution against the generalized exponential distribution is discussed. Relevant reliability measures of the generalized exponential distributions are also evaluated. A set of real data is employed to illustrate the results given in this paper.

  • The materials to develop a computer-based method for the wave resistance of a ship within the frame of Guilloton's wedge concept are presented in this paper. A systematic reliable procedure to retrieve the linearized hull corresponding to a given real hull form(the so-called inverse transformation) has been devised. The algorithm based on the present materials produces evidently accurate values of the H-functions, and the wave profiles and the wave resistance coefficients in good agreement with the experimental measurements.

  • In this paper, let Q be the real quaternion algebra which consists of all quaternionic numbers, and let G be the Lie group of all automorphisms of the algebra Q. Assume that g is an arbitrary given left invariant Riemannian metric on the Lie group G. Then, we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for an automorphism of the group G to be harmonic.

  • In this paper, we present new vector generators of a matrix subalgebra $L_{0,n}$, which is isomorphic to the Clifford algebra $C{\ell}_{0,n}$, and we obtain the matrix form of inverse of a vector in $L_{0,n}$. Moreover, we consider the solution of a linear equation $xg_2=g_2x$, where $g_2$ is a vector generator of $L_{0,n}$.
