Recently, the scale of buildings has been increasing because of the high-rise trend and complexity of underground spaces. A significant number of steel structures have therefore been adopted for building construction. Since workers need to work in high places to install steel beams, many industrial accidents easily occur during steel-frame work. Furthermore, considering the increasing trend of building steel structures, the safety of the workers during the steel beam erection work is of concern. To improve the safety, a new type of joint, located between the steel column and beam, which can eliminate the need for working at the elevated height during steel beam erection has been developed in Korea. Using the newly developed technology in the construction field, the safety performance needs to be evaluated. This study presented the safety evaluation approach for the newly developed technology from the literature review, and applied the method to a self-supported steel joint. The result showed that applying the self-supported steel joint improved the safety of the steel erection work in terms of working posture, working environment, and risk exposure time.

Construction automation is yet to be improved since construction site still faces a lot of high risks and difficulties. This research focuses on applying robotic beam assembly system in place of construction workers. This system consists of CF (Construction Factory) structure to provide adequate working environment to robot automation. The CF structure not only gives automation environment for a robot but also houses the equipments to protect from outside effects. The robotic beam assembly system also consists of robotic bolting system and robot transport mechanism. It utilizes various tools to insert and join the bolts and nuts. Visual servoing helps precise robot motion by sensing bolt hole and tail of the bolt. ITA system helps non skilled workers to easily perform the assembly work with the robot system. The robot transport mechanism includes sliding rail and cross-wired lift. It carries the robot to a desired position for assembly work.

This research is situated at the intersection between industry 4.0, circular economy and tourism, in an attempt to observe the fourth industrial revolution at the service of the application of circular economy principles in the tourism industry. This approach has gained importance due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has accelerated fundamental dynamics of change linked to business digitization and environmental sustainability. Within the theoretical framework delimited by the aforementioned intersection, the 'goCircular Radar' project, launched by 'TheCircularLab', from Ecoembes (Spain), has been taken as an empirical reference. Among the 165 startups in the circular economy sector, special attention has been paid to those that are oriented, or have a potential application, to tourism. The activities they carry out are described, with particular attention to the technologies they use and their contribution to circularity.
For the purpose of developing CALS/EC, it was surveyed ISO/IEC 12207 that was international standard and IEEE/EIA 12207 that was national standard in U.S.A and then peformed analysis comparing with MIL-STD-498 it was called origin of DoD software development process. Also it was surveyed software life cycle Process using doemstic defense area now Software life cycle process based on MIL-STD-498 in defense area was not yet includ the concept of new development philosophy like iterative development and process management according to the characteristics of project. For the purpose of improving software life cycle in defense area, first refined the process. And then on this study it was recommended accomodation of incremental and evolutionary development approach and the method of tailoring based on MIL-STD-498 was able to select and apply the process on the characteristics of project.

This paper investigated and analyzed the status of students for jobs in textile industry for proposing the basic data for more effective labor supply to textile industry in northern region of Gyeonggi-do. The survey was conducted with 55 students in the middle aged class living in northern region of Gyeonggi-do who participated in the field practice education program related to industry business from April to June, 2013. The analysis results are described as below. For the satisfaction on the curriculum, 45.5% of the subjects showed the highest satisfaction on the education program. 65.5% desired the full-time employment in the textile business after the education. 78.2% of the subjects agreed that the education program for helping employment and recruitment in textile industry was the essential project in the current reality when there is a serious lack of field workers. Significant number of subjects answered that the education program should be implemented through the academy and business cooperation between the relevant departments in colleges and textile business. Although the subjects in this paper were very limited, the survey results would be important data to prepare the approach for improving the supply and demand of labor in textile business in the future as well as the starting point for a project to create new jobs for middle-aged women in the Northern region of Gyeonggi-do.

The train-centric control systems development has some distinct points in that a big size of government budget is in general expended in there and the development duration seems to be long. In addition, the changes are ever made continuously in the capability and operational requirements for Trains. Thus, the impact of the potential changes in the required operational capability on the development activities can induce some type of project risks [7]. As such, proper management of project risk has been one of crucial subjects in the train systems development. All these notes combined together make it the significance of the safety management process be raised further up in the train-centric control systems development. As such, the underlying safety management process should be capable of appropriately handling the potential risks that can be created due to the unexpected changes and the long-term development period. The process should also be complemented for the safety consideration of train-centric control systems, for instance, stop. To study these aspect is the objective of the paper. To do so, a step-by-step approach to analyzing the safety management process is first presented. Then, to enhance the process some necessary and useful activities are added in terms of risk and safety management. Then, to pursue some enhancement on the process, a set of necessary and useful activities are added in terms of risk and safety management. The resultant process is further analyzed and tailored using a design structure matrix method. The resultant process is applied in a train-centric control development as a case study.

The objective of this project is to improve the environment of the estuary dike on the Youngsan-River through Re-landscaping. An estuary dike of the Youngsan-River, the largest in the Orient, was constructed in 1981 and connects Mokpo City and Youngam-Gun province. Twenty years ago, when this dike was completed, this place was one of the famous tourist attractions of Korea. It symbolized the development and growth of Korea. But this dike at present is only a dreary sight as a huge concrete construction element. Therefore, a wall painting on the estuary dike was planned to improve this image. The site, an estuary dike of the Youngsan-River, is located in Mokpo City and its length is about 1,360m. The planning focus of this re-landscaping, which is a proposed improvement design through the analysis of characteristics and problems in conventional facilities, is as follows: (1) Introduction of a wall painting that is a symbol of the sea and river (by the creation of an illusion), (2) Production of the wall painting which is under consideration to create a friendly atmosphere of the circumference view and (3) Preparation of a design to establish an approach to the waterfront. By following these steps, an estuary dike can function as a tourist attractions and can be transformed in to cultural space for civilian. This project is good example of environment design that is completed with the regional residents participation through community input in the planning and initiation of a wall painting. The concept of environment design which involves the residents participation and re-landscaping in Korea has not been established up to now on. However, as this projects has proven, consideration for regional residents is a very important factor for the administrative office and planing specialist to address. In the future, it will have a direct influence on the development of design planning. If the establishment of space that can be accepted by residents with love, affection and self-confidence is possible, environment design in which residents participate actively, can be realized.

Recently, the construction companies are forced to cut down the investment amount due to increasing financial problems caused by severe recession and restructuring in the financial market as well as the long-term depression of the construction industry. To overcome this type of problems, a great many efforts have been made. An alternative may be adopting the advanced financing methods. However, during the course of enforcing process of the financing methods, many problems are revealed without any proper solutions being proposed. Therefore, the fundamental problems need to be solved through comprehensive and systematic approach under the changing environment of construction financing. In this paper, as a result of reviewing some financing methods such as ABS, REITS, and Project Financing, multiple business strategies for construction companies to cope with the changing construction market are found in the sense of effectiveness in implementing construction projects. Further, this paper presents diversified financing methods for the effective practice of construction projects through combination of above mentioned methods, and also proposes improvement plans to strengthen the financing function for the construction industry.
Purpose. Because traditional statistics approach had limitations in learning future forecasting and major factors causing occupational injuries in each industry, this paper develops a model forecasting and evaluating occupational injury rate by using a system dynamics model through the analysis of the industry injury statistics and the project for industry injury prevention. Method. The model of this paper consists of 12 total models such as a model of employees, of industrial disaster victims, of injury rate, etc.; In the analysis of firm size, it is classified and developed according to 12 groups on the basis of the number of employees, and in the analysis of industrial classification, it is done according to 10 total business fields such as manufacturing business, construction one, etc. Results. This paper suggests the methodology which forecasts industry injury rate by business field and size on the basis of developed model, and evaluates an industry injury prevention project from various angles. Conclusions. This paper deduced problem through the analysis of an industry injury by business fields and a comparative analysis of foreign cases, and analyzed to affect industry injury prevention by industry. And it also analyzed actual condition of industry injury, and did a difference in the level of safety consciousness according to the general characteristics of workers and occupational safety and health education related characteristics. In result, this paper suggests that analyzing occupational injury related factors, a safety budgetary allocation, and industry injury related factors can reduce illness costs such as employees' injury and medical care, and also assist cost for a disability.
Most of solar system dissemination has been focused on domestic hot water system of which utilization to a building is relatively simple and safe than solar heating system. Through the survey on a cause of solar house dissemination failure in Korea, we conclude that design integration and systematic approach method for technology application are the most important element for a successful solar house. KIER(Korea Institute of Energy Research) and Hanbat National University have started new project on a development of Zero energy Solar House, called ZeSH which can be sustained just by natural energy without the support of existing fossil fuel. This is the 1st phase research of 10 years long-term ZeSH plan which develops a low-cost and $100\%$ self sufficient ZeSH. The goal of 1st phase ZeSH research is to get a $70\%$ self sufficiency only in thermal loads. Actual demonstration house, named KIER ZeSH I was designed and constructed as a result of 1st phase research work in the end of 2002. Various innovative technologies such as super insulation, high performance window, passive and active solar systems, ventilation heat recovery system are applied and evaluated to the KIER ZeSH I. A lot of computer simulations had been conducted for the optimal design and system integration in every design steps. Considering all the results from detailed hourly computer simulation, it is expected that at least $70\%$ self-sufficiency in thermal loads which is 1st phase target value can be excessively achieved in actual demonstration house. Besides, many valuable findings from the design and analysis to construction could be established such as collaboration method among the participants, practical design and construction techniques for system integration and the others. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the main findings through the development of KIER ZeSH I project. Practical guidelines in every design step for new low- or zero- energy solar house is proposed as result.
