  • In this paper, We design the high performance 2D product Iterative decoder using three different external value design. We improved the external value operation in two ways to reduce the delay and speed. In this proposed operation, each design has been simulated on Matlab and MaxPlusII, and implemented on the FPGA to measure their performance.

  • Currently, it is necessary to share and exchange drawing information between 2D and 3D data in AEC(Architecture, Engineering & Construction) fields. The authors suggest an information model framework to express IFC(Industry Foundation Classes)-based drawing of 3D AEC products as 2D drawing. In this study, 1) an information framework has been developed to enable sharing and exchange of AEC product model by adding various information factors, 2) standardized APIs and an IFC2DBrowser are developed.

  • 제품계열(Product-Line) 개발 방법은 특정 영역에 대해 핵심 자산을 구축한 후 제품 특성에 맞게 자산을 변경하여 신속하게 제품을 생산하는 방법이다. 제품계열의 이용한 제품 생산이 생산성과 효율성을 높이기 위해서는 자산 구축이 제품 패밀리로부터 정확히 추출, 생성되어져 있어야 한다. 특히 핵심 자산 중에서 가장 중요한 자산인 제품계열 아키텍처이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 도메인 전문가가 제품 영역에 대한 분석을 끝낸 후 제품계열 아키텍처를 생성, 편집을 용이하도록 도와 줄 수 있는 기능과 제품계열 아키텍처에서 제품 아키텍처로 쉽게 유도할 수 있도록 도와주는 기능을 고려하여 설계하고자 한다. 또한 설계된 내용을 기반으로 아키텍처 다이어그램 편집기 프로토타입을 구현하였다.

  • Recently, it has been widely conceived that Concurrent Enginering (CE) can provide a competitive edge for companies that have confronted with rapidly changing market requirements, such as shortening of product life-cycles, high quality and low cost products, diversity of customer demand, and so on. CE is generally recognized as a practice to bridge the gap between designing a product and other various life-cycle activities, such as manufacturing, assembly, testing, and maintenance, at an early stage of design. In this paper the concepts of CE is first overviewed, and many of its supporting tools are discussed. It is then proposed an architecture of a CE support system that can provide a unifying view of the tools. Finally, a case that has successfully implemented the concepts is presented.

  • Social manufacturing architecture is based on information delivery through social media and SNS, PLM and social platform, crowd source and knowledge base on whole phase of product life cycle. Although advanced social manufacturing issues are rising globally, its technology emerging into domestic industry is likely to be slow. We focused to review technological changes and R&D trend, patent issues, and then suggest assignments and advices to be practiced for social manufacturing modeling.

  • Including technical device and general information system, the information-technical(IT) system is defined as the technical system for acquiring, processing, storing and transferring information to a person. This paper presents Knowledge-based Heuristic Evolution Model for creating the advanced information-technical system. This Evolution Model is derived from the historical review on definition of evolution, the research on the architecture of the general IT system, history of IT system, technology innovation theory and multi-case study research. The evolution model is applicable to the conceptual creation of the advanced product in R&D organization requiring development methodologies like rapid-prototyping to develop next generation product. For the detailed theoretical construction and practical application of Evolution Model, the case study research based on action research is performed. the object of the case study is mobile device, especially mobile hand-held phone. Thus, we obtain the Evolution Model for creating the advanced information-technical system.

  • Current brand strategies applied for name brand apartments seem to have no product differentiation but merely function as a convenient instrument for product image change through naming only. Since proliferating brand names don't have much relevance to their brand concepts at present, long-range brand strategies are definitely needed. We'll inquire, first, the success and failure cases in the brand strategies of other industry. Next, through questionnaire survey, we'll look into the brand concepts of construction firms and their customer satisfaction. Finally we'll present the necessity of indigenous brand culture by use of macroscopic contents development.

  • 미래 IT 환경의 주체가 될 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 혁명의 단초가 되는 핵심기술인 RFID는 최근에 널리 쓰이기 시작하였다. 마이크로칩이 내장되어 있어서 물류, 재고관리, 도난방지 등에 적용할 수 있지만 제품의 정보가 실시간으로 갱신되지 않는다는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 실시간으로 스스로 정보를 갱신하는 DPM(Digital Product Memory)을 이용하여 문제점을 해결하고 DPM 구현을 위한 에이전트 기반 미들웨어 플랫폼에 대해 소개하였다.

Relux를 이용한 조명 시뮬레이션 (Lighting Simulation using Relux)

  • Lighting simulation is becoming increasingly more important as a method for design and evaluation. There is a wide range of packages that provide the accuracy and the usability in lighting simulation. Relux developed by Relux Informatik AG, Switzerland, Relux offers users innovative and high-performance light planning software with open interfaces and simultaneous access to the latest product data from luminaire and lamp manufacturers. The goals of this report is to explore some of the lighting simulation issues relating to Relux. It is hoped that it will provide some background information that will enable a designer and engineer to make some informed judgements on the potential of the current state-of-the-art in computer prediction of lighting in buildings and how this may be used to assist in building design.

  • This paper describes the design of a block data flow architecture(BDFA) which implements 2-D discrete wavelet transform(DWT)/inverse discrete wavelet transform(IDWT) for real time image processing applications. The BDFA uses 2-D product separable filters for DWT/IDWT. It consists of an input module, a processor array, and an output module. It use both data partitioning and algorithm partitioning to achieve high efficiency and high throughput. The 2-D DWT/IDWT algorithm for 256$\times$256 lenna image has been simulated using IDL(Interactive Data Language). The 2-D array structured BDFA for the 2-D filter has been modeled and simulated using VHDL.
