  • We develop Open Innovation Analysis Method in the Patent analysis field and applies it to analyze Deagu-Gyung-buk Cases. After Chesbrough researches the open innovation situation about U. S. company Cases, many researchers began to study about Open Innovation of Companies. And Hippel participated in User Innovation research about Medical equipments and extreme sporting equipments. He pointed out that user innovation occurred new products. I call it User based Open Innovation. But the methods for Open Innovation are limited such as Case study, Survey analysis, and Quality study. So, we need to develop objective analysis method for open innovation of any firm. In this study, we want to develop new objective analysis method for open innovation and apply it to analyze rocal cases and global comparative studies. We will develop the Chesbrough's patent analysis method about open innovation.We apply this new open innovation analysis method to analyze medical equipment and fuel cell industries in Daegu and Gyung-buk Province. faembedded structure of the cooperative research network of innovation We also will apply this method to analyze Samsung and Nokia Mobile industry, and Hyundae and Toyota automobile industry.

  • This study aims to analyze the teaching and learning methods realities and needs in the subjects 'The basis of the Invention Patent'. To this end, research and analysis of the subjects 'The basis of the Invention Patent' the teacher and take advantage of their current teaching and learning methods, 'The basis of the Invention Patent' subject teachers to recognize the most desirable teaching and learning methods, subjects 'The basis of the Invention Patent' of teaching and learning and the operating requirements of the difficult matters. Survey of 48 schools across the country in high school teachers to teach the subjects 'The basis of the Invention Patent' was conducted, the results of this study are as follows. First, a high percentage of theoretical learning activities, teaching methods, such as 'lectures' and take advantage of the higher percentage. Module was to conduct classes such as 'project', 'lab experiments', 'discussion', 'investigation' by taking advantage of the high proportion of practice learning activities. Second, Higher requirements for the experience and practice of student-centered 'lab experiments', 'project', 'Case Studies', 'field trips' and theory-driven rather than 'lectures'. Third, 'The basis of the Invention Patent' subjects 'Teaching and learning important when operating requirements for the degree' as a whole was highly recognized. in particular, operating requirements for teaching and learning in accordance with the former college of education of education than non-group differences were higher overall response. Fourth, 'The basis of the Invention Patent' subjects 'Teaching and learning difficult when operating your degree' as a whole was highly recognized.   • There have been various researches on the relationship between a company's R&D investment and the outcome from innovation. However, these studies failed to effectively analyze the decision-making process followed by companies in relation to knowledge production. Especially, in analyzing the patent of companies, the Poisson model has been commonly used, but its limitations have been pointed out. In recent years, many studies have adopted negative binomial models, but they still pose limitations in analyzing the selection process. This paper proposed a hurdle negative binomial model to effectively reflect the company's decision embedded within patent information and conduct an empirical analysis on a survey of businesses' activities. In particular, the study analyzed the selection process of companies in determining the number of patents. As a result of estimation, the presence of over-dispersion was identified. In addition, the Wald-test confirmed that setting up of hurdles was valid, and there was a difference between the results of hurdle models and those of general negative binomial settings.

  • The innovation activity is an important factor for sustained growth in nations and firms. Particularly, the problem of appropriation of results of the innovative activity is very important for innovators since it enables them to enjoy the profits generated by their innovations. This study is intended to empirically analyse relative preference of patent and secrecy that is affected by characteristics of innovators and results of innovation using data from '2005: The Korean Innovation Survey' and Ordered Logit method. As a result of this study, the preference for a specific mechanism is clearly revealed in product innovation rather than process innovation. Also, in most research, questions results of analysis are equal to the previous studies and the nature of appropriation methods. However, the result of a research question based on sources of information is very different from previous researches. This study utilized more recent data than previous studies. This result reflects that existing patterns have been changed during recent period.

  • Today, ubiquitous technology (e.g. computers or networked devices pervade everywhere we are) has enlarged by great advancement of information and communication technologies. If ubiquitous technologies is applied to, innovation of spatial information technology is expected. traditional spatial information technologies such as survey, GIS, GPS, LBS, and RS and ubiquitous technology gradual1y have been converged. The aim of this study is to create shared visions in spatial information technologies by scenario based roadmapping. So, we surveyed the state of the art in main spatial information technologies, market status and patent map. Consequently, prospects of spatial information technologies is suggested. The aim of 1st and 2nd NGIS project focused on map supplier was to develop digital map(e.g. framework data, various thematic map). As a result, the best technology of digital mapping is achieved in the world. But, there is not enough to develop GIS and LBS solution. Current market in GIS S/W and Telematics is about 384billon won and 250billion won. a patent is applied in the order, like a USA(1571case, 47%), Japan(883case, 26%), EU(478case, 14%), Korea(446case, 13%). In the future, spatial information technology fused on ubiquitous technology will be focused on user's demand and developing convenience context. The developing target will be realtime monitoring of 3D spatial data based on high resolution coordinate system, sharing and supplying multi-sensor data considered users demand, location service by ubiquitous technologies.

The Effects of R&D Investment on Managerial Performance by Manufacturing Sector : Focused on Sales and Patent (제조 산업별 연구개발 투자가 경영성과에 미치는 영향 : 매출액과 특허를 중심으로)

  • This study is designed to analyze the status of R&D investment and managerial performance related to the domestic manufacturing. To accomplish the purpose of the study, We have regression analyzed 6,054 companies based on the data of 'Business Activity Survey' disclosed by Statistics Korea. Result of the study are as follows. First, electronics, IT, and auto industry account for 25.6% of the country's manufacturing companies and take up 75.8% of the total R&D funding for the manufacturing industry. Second, R&D funding exercises positive influence on sales and the number of registered patents, which last exerts positive influence on sales.

  • Purpose: This study aims to analyze the determinants of Green Total Factor Productivity (Green TFP) growth in the agricultural sector in Indonesia from 1980-2018. Research design, data, and methodology: The growth of Green TFP in the agricultural sector is calculated using the Growth Accounting Method. Moreover, this study uses multiple linear regression to analyze the determinants of the growth of Green TFP in the agricultural sector in Indonesia. Results: The survey results show that the average growth of Green TFP in the agricultural sector in Indonesia is still negative, which indicates that the efficiency of production factor or mastery of technology is still low. Inflation and patent applications are variables that significantly affect the growth of Green TFP in the agricultural sector, where the inflation variable has a negative effect. In contrast, the variable growth of patent applications has a positive impact. Conclusions: The government needs to continue to improve efficiency by organizing various programs related to increasing mastery of technology in the agricultural sector. The government also needs to advance research and development by promoting patents to become research incentives and impact the improvement of new technologies, especially those related to the environment. Moreover, economic stability needs to be maintained through inflation control.

  • This paper presents a survey of patents and an analysis of a conceptual study for the development of rotor drive systems in combined unmanned rotorcraft in. The patents were classified into 10 cases with respect to the rotor drive system development, and these are reviewed and analyzed in detail. The results describe development concepts for rotor drive systems for vehicles obtained through the patent analysis.

  • The purposes of this study were to evaluate the effectiveness of teacher training program for specialized school teacher in invention patent field and to explore the program improvement ideas. The study was carried out through on survey method and using program evaluating model developed for this study. The study subjects are 39 specialized high school teacher participated in training program about invention patent field at CNU-IECT(Invention education center for teacher). The data collection was done on August 2, 2014. The 37 questionnaies were analyzed. The educational needs of the training program were calculated by using the Borich(1980)'s needs assessment formula. The evaluating model was developed by the team. Major findings of this study were as follows; First, the training needs of specialized high-school teachers was high. Second, the satisfaction of the training program was high. Third, the overall effectiveness of training programs was high. Fourth, the improvement ideas were divided into four area - 1)The status quo area, 2) the alternatives exploration area, 3) the strategy modifications area, 4) the expected expansion area.

Study of teachers' understanding of terminology and their meaning differences in the realm of invention based on invention/patent specialized high school (발명.특허 특성화고등학교 교사의 발명 관련 용어 이해도 분석)

  • This study investigates invention and patent specialized high school teachers' understanding of terminology and their meaning differences in the realm of invention, career-specific, and freestyle Invention according to background variables. The population of this research consists of 333 teachers currently employed in invention and patent specialized high school and complete enumeration survey has been used. To analyze the terminology understanding and their meaning differences, total of 216 questionnaires have been collected and 211 of them (63.4%) were used, excluding the ones with insincere answers. The results of this study are as follows. First, in regard to invention, carrer-specific, freestyle Invention terminology understanding, established teachers showed higher results over new teachers. In addition, experienced teachers showed higher results over inexperienced teachers, and teachers with in-service training experiences showed higher results over the ones without. Second, when it came to understanding the terminology differences in the three realms, the new teachers showed higher results than the established teachers, inexperienced teachers over those with teaching experiences, and ones who have never taken any in-service training showed higher results than the ones with training experiences. The ones who answered 'don't know' regarding the meaning differences among terminology were established teachers over new teachers, experienced teachers over inexperienced teachers, and in-service training recipients over the ones without.
