The rapid changes in the environment surrounding today's companies require continuous securing and retention of excellent human resources to maintain competitiveness. Therefore, research on work engagement (WE) and turnover intention (TI) was actively conducted as a representative factor necessary to secure the organizational competitive advantage and promote continuous growth. This is because the high performer has relatively high capabilities and high employability according to market demand, so securing and maintaining them is a very important issue from the perspective of corporate management. Research on the relationship between WE and TI have been conducted in various fields so far, but the results have been derived differently for each study. This means that there may be differences depending on the characteristics of the domestic context. However, studies that analyzed the relationship from a comprehensive and overall perspective are very rare, and the need for research is raised. Therefore, this study attempted to statistically analyze the relationship between variables and present research directions by synthesizing the results of existing studies. Through the analysis of previous studies, a meta-analysis was conducted on the effect of WE on TI within the organization in the domestic context to analyze the effect, and academic and practical implications were derived based on this.

This study aims to investigate the impact of job stress on the job satisfaction and life satisfaction of local government officials who participated in the reading academy from January 2023 to March 2023. The research involved collecting 300 questionnaires and conducting multiple regression analysis to analyze the obtained data. The results of the study are presented below. Impact of Job Stress on Job Satisfaction: The analysis revealed that among the sub-factors of job stress, inappropriate compensation significantly increases job stress among local government officials in the reading academy. Moreover, the study found that turnover intention was particularly high when compensation was not recognized as appropriate, indicating it as the most significant source of job stress. Impact of Job Stress on Life Satisfaction: The findings demonstrate that several factors negatively influence job stress, leading to reduced life satisfaction among local government officials in the reading academy. These factors include undesirable changes in working conditions or situations, anxiety about reorganization, inconsistent work orders, gender discrimination, and an authoritative organizational atmosphere. Effect of Job Satisfaction on Life Satisfaction: The analysis of the relationship between job satisfaction and life satisfaction indicated that turnover intention and remuneration level in job satisfaction positively influenced emotional satisfaction. Conversely, the job itself and interpersonal relationships had a significant negative effect on emotional satisfaction. Furthermore, the job itself and the level of remuneration in job satisfaction showed a significant positive effect on physical satisfaction. Similarly, the job itself and the level of remuneration in job satisfaction positively affected social satisfaction, while the intention to change jobs had a significant negative impact.

There is a Korean proverb that learns old things and learns new things from it. This study analyzes the change of the policy governance system in the field of information and communication since 2008 and outlines the future directions. The launch of the Korea Communications Commission (KCC), which combines the Ministry of Information and Communication and the Korea Broadcasting Commission in 2008, and the separation of the Korea Communications Commission and Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning in 2013, were systematic responses to the policy environment. Recent changes in the ICT environment, such as the advent of the fourth industrial revolution and the intelligence information society, call for an organizational timely response. In the future, it will be very important to set the scope of ICT policy, the establishment of a dedicated organization, the strengthening of the regulatory system, and the role of the government and the market.

Through the evolutionary process of the North Korean defector support policies, this research investigates the background behind the formation of non-profit organizations for the North Korean defectors and to identify and understand the problem through their characteristics and functions. Starting from 1990, with an increase in the North Korean Defectors' population as well as the introduction of multicultural society, various environmental factors, such as the domestic socio-environmental changes, resulted an increase in number of private organizations. However, not to mention the size and functions of the organizations, some do not even have required legal organizational structures in place. Their business activities, in some cases, are irrelevant to the original purpose and objectives. Moreover, the fact that 83% of the North Korean Defectors Organizations are based in Seoul while 25.5% of the North Korean Defector residing in Seoul, inevitably make the reputation of the organizations to be illegal and dishonest due to the excessive level of competitions among the similar types of organizations. In reality, the organizations show lack of growth in the areas such as securing necessary employments to the Defectors or providing educations to the youth, who will eventually become the future leaders, in building the awareness capacity toward the unification. These results show that, in conducting their activities, the organizations must be aware of the rights and responsibilities as the constituents of the society, plus the government's practical efforts in improving these issues are also necessary.

This study aimed to develop indicators that can measure the digital transformation performance of science and technology information construction and sharing systems by utilizing the Digital Curation Maturity Models. For digital transformation, it is necessary to consider not only simple service improvement but also organizational and business changes. In this study, we aimed to develop a model for measuring the digital transformation of KISTI, Korea's representative science and technology information service organization. KISTI has already carried out BPR work for digital transformation and borrowed the concept of a maturity model. However, in BPR, there is no method to measure the result. Therefore, in this paper, we developed an index to measure digital transformation based on the maturity model. Indicator development was carried out in two ways: model development and evaluation. Cases for model construction were made through a comprehensive review of existing KISTI and various domestic and foreign cases. The models before verification were technology (37), data (45), strategy (18), organization (36), and (social)influence (14) based on the major categories. After verification using confirmatory factor analysis, the model is classified as technology (20 / 17 indicators dropped), data (36 / 9 indicators dropped), strategy (18 / maintenance), organization(30 / 6 indicators dropped), and (social) influence (13 indicators / 1 indicator dropped).
Due to recent demographic changes, employees from diverse generations now work together in organizations. Thus, there is a need for research on intergenerational cooperation. However, the lack of valid and reliable measures to capture intergenerational climate in the workplace is an obstacle to research. Therefore, we translated the Workplace Intergenerational Climate Scale(WICS) into Korean and validated it with a sample of 1,052 Korean full-time employees. Firstly, we conducted an exploratory factor analysis by using sample 1(N = 460) and revealed a five-factor solution. Secondly, the confirmatory factor analysis(sample 2; N = 592) showed a good model fit of the correlated five-factor model. Thirdly, the scale's discriminant and convergent validity was supported by negative correlations with four types of existing ageism scales and by positive correlations with trust, organizational commitment, work engagement, psychological safety, intention to remain, job satisfaction, and communication satisfaction. Moreover, it further demonstrated significant incremental validity in predicting positive outcome variables even when controlling for pre-existing agism scales. Lastly, we confirmed strict measurement invariance of the scale between the age groups(below 40 versus above 40). The findings support the reliability and validity of the Korean version of WICS among Korean employees. The scale will be broadly applied to measure intergenerational climate of organizations and provide practical implications for HR management.

Although starting a business plays a key role in strengthening national competitiveness and creating jobs, it is recognized as a risky choice. Failure to start a business can result in a wide range of negative effects, such as loss of personal wealth as well as deterioration of national competitiveness. This study considers startups that have reached a level of sustainable growth by achieving performance above the minimum profitability and sales standards for KOSDAQ listing, or achieved EXIT through sale or listing, as successful startups. based on the practical experiences of 23 successful entrepreneurs and Based on perception, the importance and priorities of startup success factors were derived through stratification analysis (Analytic Hierarchy Process, AHP), and interviews were conducted. In particular, using the ERIS model, we comprehensively analyze various variables of a start-up by considering the four elements of the entrepreneur, resources, industry, and strategy, and examine the changes and importance of success factors according to the characteristics of each growth stage of the start-up. As a goal, we specifically identified the challenges and opportunities faced by entrepreneurs at each stage. As a result of the study, the order of importance of the top factors of success factors in the start-up period was found to be the entrepreneur, resources, industry, and strategy. In particular, the importance of the entrepreneur's entrepreneurship spirit, special capabilities, general capabilities, and human resources was emphasized. The order of importance of the top factors of success factors during the growth period was found in the following order: entrepreneur, resources, industry, and strategy. With changes in information technology (IT), many innovative IT-based services, such as AirBnB, have become popular. Switching behavior toward new and innovative services become a major issue for managers who want to attract many customers. In response, many researchers have investigated why customers switch service providers. However, little research has been conducted on the processes of switching behavior for a hedonic service. To fill this research gap, this study aimed to identify the stages of switching behavior based on transtheoretical model. Furthermore, the factors affecting the service switching behavior in stages were identified on the basis of service provider switching model. This study also hypothesized the customer's switching behavior in accommodation sharing economy service and analyzed it empirically. Results showed that the factors affecting switching behavior differ across five stages. The present results can provide a basis to prevent switching behavior and reduce churn by analyzing the difference in switching behavior among stages. This study also helps managers who want to improve organizational performance by enhancing customer retention capability.
Today, firms are constantly transforming and innovating to survive under the rapidly changing business environment. The introduction of cloud computing services has become popular throughout society as a whole and is expected to result in many changes and developments not only in firms and but also in the public sector subject to innovation. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the characteristics of cloud computing services on the perceived expected performance according to innovativeness based on innovation diffusion theory. The results of the analysis of the data collected from this research are as follows. The convenience and understanding of individuals' work as well as the benefits of cloud computing services to them depend on the innovative trend of cloud computing services. Further, the expectations for personal benefit and those for organizational benefit of cloud computing services are different from each other. Leading firms in the global market have been actively engaged in the utilization of cloud computing services in the public sector as well as in private firms. In consideration of the importance of cloud computing services, using cloud computing services as the target of innovation diffusion research is important. The results of the study are expected to contribute to developing future research models for the diffusion of new technologies, such as big data, digital convergence, and Internet of Things.
Under ubiquitous work environment, innovative changes occur in work process with ICT. The work process for collaboration through mobile devices and network should be investigated. The research model consists of two major antecedents: autonomy and interdependence as a task characteristic and job satisfaction as ultimate consequence followed by work design theory. To elaborate work design theory, smartwork application (app) use, communication extent, and work-life balance were reviewed from the literature. Data were collected from three ICT firms, which adopted certain smartwork app, and a partial least squares analysis was made on 175 data points. The analysis results show that task interdependence exerts a statistically significant effect on the level of smartwork app usage. Communication extent directly affects job satisfaction and work-life balance. The remarkable point is that smartwork app usage does not affect employees' work-life balance; the former can only affect the latter indirectly by increasing communication extent. This study attempts to explain the organizational impact by considering smartwork app and the effects simultaneously. We proposed and empirically tested the extended work design theory including information technology and its environment. Based on the results, other theoretical and practical contributions are discussed at the end with limitations and further studies.
