  • For the purpose of development of domestic carburizer, when the basicity of ash in carburizer was changed from $Na_2O/Al_2O_3+SiO_2$ ; 0.06 to $Na_2O/Al_2O_3+SiO_2$ ; 0,196wt%, using $Na_2O$ as flux for domestic graphite resource (Bong Myung armorphous graphite), carburizing efficiency was improved as basicity increased, optimum basicity value was $Na_2O/Al_2O_3+SiO_2$ ; 0.151. This means that $Na_2O$ contributed to lower viscosity of slag and raise occurence probability of specific reaction surface between molten iron and carburizer. The experiment of effect of general characteristics offecting carburizing ability of this carburizer was performed, the result is that 10/30 mesh was optimum size of the carburizer and as carbon equivalent of molten iron was higher, carburizing ratio was lowered, but when si concentration was below 1.8% in general cast iron melting region, recovery showed 75-85%. As agitation rate of molten iron and temperature interval were higher, Carburizing ratio was increased and showed max, 94%. Desulfurizing phenomena of molten iron by $Na_2O$ in carburizer didn't appear.

  • The objective of this study is to optimize the responses of the creep feed ceramic grinding process simultaneously by an off-1ine multicriteria optimization methodology. The responses considered as objectives are material removal rate, flexural strength, normal grinding force, workpiece surface roughness and grinder power. Alumina material was ground by the creep feed grinding mode using superabrasive grinding wheels. The process variables optimized for the above objectives include grinding wheel specification, such as bond type, mesh size, and grit concentration, and grinding process parameters, such as depth of cut and feed rate. A weighting method transforms the multi-objective problem into a single-objective programming format and then, by parametric variation of weights, the set of non-dominated optimum solutions are obtained. Finally, the multi-objective optimization methodology was tested by a sensitivity analysis to check the stability of the model.

다공성 니켈지지체의 제조에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fabrication of Porous Nickel Substrates)

  • While a nickel mesh and an expanded nickel sheet are used as current collectors for supporting active anode materials in rechargeable batteries, a porous nickel substrate is studied extensively for its 3-dimensional structure which has high capabilities for active materials and current collection. Optimum plating conditions were studied by polarization measurement. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) showed that both electroless-and electro-plated nickel on an urethane substrate were highly porous and consisted of nearly spherical pores. The diameter and the channel size of the pores were found to be 300~500 $\mu\textrm{m}$ and 50~200$\mu\textrm{m}$, respectively. The shape of skeleton resembled a triangular prism with length extending about 50~100 $\mu\textrm{m}$.

Removal of sulfur element from high-sulfur coal by superconducting HGMS technology

  • Coal is the most abundant fossil fuel on Earth and is used in a wide range of applications. The direct combustion of high-sulfur coal produces a large amount of sulfur dioxide, which is a toxic and corrosive gas. A new superconducting high gradient magnetic separation (HGMS) technology was studied to remove sulfur from high sulfur coal. The magnetic separation concentrate was obtained under the optimum parameters, such as a particle size of -200 mesh, a magnetic field strength of 2.0 T, a slurry concentration of 15 g/L, and a slurry flow rate of 600 ml/min. The removal rate of sulfur is up to 59.9%. The method uses a magnetic field to remove sulfur-containing magnetic material from a pulverized coal solution. It is simple process with, high efficiency, and is a new way.

중.소형 폐기물소각로 및 배연탈황공정용 홍합(Hard-Shelled Mussel) 패각페기물 Sorbent 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Sorbent Application of Hard-Shelled Mussel Waste Shell on the Medium/small Scale Waste Incinerator and Flue Gas Desulfurization Process)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the waste recycling possibility, practicability, economic efficiency and acid gas sorbent use of the hard-shelled mussel. This study is to investigate the hydration/calcination reaction and fixed bed reactor. The physical-chemical characteristics of the hard-shelled mussel were analyzed by ICP SEM-EDX, BET and pore volume. Thus, the results could be summarized as follows; Hard-shelled mussel can be used as iron-manufacture and chemical sorbents considering more than 53.7% of the mussel is lime content. The SO$_2$removal efficiency of the hard-shelled mussel after calcined hydration increased thirty times as a result of the higher pore size, specific surface area and pore volume. Also, the CaO content, pore volume, pore size distribution and specific surface area greatly influenced the SO$_2$ and NOx removal reactivity. The optimum particle diameter average of hard-shelled mussel was $\pm$100 mesh, which was applied to the sorbent on the medium/small scale waste incinerator and flue gas desulfurization processes.

치과용 지르코니아 코어 가공후의 잔여물을 활용하여 주입성형법으로 제조한 소결체의 특성 (The Properties of Sintered Body by Using the Slip Casting Process with Remained Dental Zirconia Block after Machining)

  • Purpose: All ceramic crown, made from zirconia instead of metal for core material, is recognized the best esthetical prosthesis. Recently, high-priced zirconia blocks and expensive CAD/CAM machines come into use for making zirconia core. In this study, slip casting process is adapted to evaluate the possibility of the recycling the remained parts of zirconia block after machining. Methods: Remained zirconia blocks were reduced to powders with zirconia mortar, and screened with 180 mesh sieve. Passed powders were ball milled under various conditions to obtain the optimum zirconia slip for casting. Solid casting method was used for casting the specimens with plaster mold. Formed specimens were dried and biscuit fired at $1,000^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour. Biscuit fired specimens were finished with exact shape of square pillar. Finished specimens were fired from $1,200^{\circ}C$ to $1,550^{\circ}C$ at $50^{\circ}C$ intervals for 1 hour. Linear shrinkage, apparent porosity, water absorption, bulk density, and flexural strength were tested. Microstructures were observed by SEM. Results: Above examinations indicated that the optimum firing temperture was $1,500^{\circ}C$, and when fired at this temperature for 1 hour, apparent porosity was 0% and flexural strength was 680MPa. SEM photomicrographs showed uniform 200~300nm grain size, which is equal with microcture of sintered commercial zirconia block. when compare 24% linear shrinkage of cast specimen with 20% linear shrinkage of CAD/CAM machined block, it was estimated that the size controlling of cast core was not so difficult. Conclusion: According to the all of this experimental results, the cast zirconia core produced from the remained parts of zirconia block was possible to use for all ceramic denture.

즉석팥죽 제조를 위한 가공조건 및 제품의 품질 (Preparation Condition and Product Quality of Precooked Redbean Porridge)

  • 이축압출성형기를 사용하여 붉은 통팥과 옥수수전분을 원료로 하여 압축성형하고 이를 건조, 분쇄, 배합하여 즉석팥죽 분말을 제조하였으며 이때의 제조공정과 제품의 품질을 검토하였다. 원료의 수분함량 $24{\sim}26%$, 압출성형온도 $150{\sim}155^{\circ}C$, 스크류의 회전속도 350 rpm 및 원료투입량 60 kg/hr의 압출성형조건으로 제품을 생산하였을 경우 팥죽 고유의 냄새와 색상을 유지하는 제품을 얻을 수 있었다. 압출성형중 분말원료에 가해지는 가수량이 6 kg/hr에서 2 kg/hr로 감소됨에 따라서 압출성형온도는 $150^{\circ}C$에서 $198^{\circ}C$로, 기계적소모에너지는 134 kwh/ton에서 144 kwh/ton으로 증가하였다. 건조분말상태에서 caking이 형성이 되지 않는 수분함량인 4% 이하로 건조되는 열풍건조 조건은 건조온도 $80^{\circ}C$ 에서는 4시간, $100^{\circ}C$ 에서는 1.5시간 이었다. 압출물의 분쇄후 분말의 입도분석은 체목이 0.5 mm인 것을 사용하였을 경우 약 80%가 65 mesh 체를 통과하였고, 1 mm인 체목인 경우는 약 65%가 65 mesh 체를 통과하였다. 최종배합제품의 수분흡수속도는 설탕배합구가 100% RH하에서 13시간이 경과된 후 caking이 형성되었다. 팥압출물분말, 옥수수전분 및 설탕의 배합비를 달리한 제품의 기호도 검사에서 팥의 함량이 줄어듬에 따라 팥죽냄새가 감소하여 기호성이 저하되었다.

중국산 생강의 올레오레진 제조를 위한 극초단파 추출조건 설정 (Pre-establishment of Microwave-Assisted Extraction Conditions for Chinese Ginger Oleoresins)

  • 중국산 건생강으로부터 올레오레진을 추출하고자 극초단파를 이용하여 몇 가지 기초실험을 실시하였다. 극초단파(2,450 MHz, 50 W) 추출에서 원료의 입자크기는 60 mesh 내외, 시료와 용매의 비는 1:10 (g/mL) 범위가 적당한 것으로 나타났다. 에탄올 가용성 고형분은 에탄올농도가 낮을수록 증가하였으나 추출물의 전자공여능은 에탄올 25%에서 가장 높게 나타났고, 추출물의 총페놀 함량은 에탄올 농도 50% 이상에서 급속히 증가되었다. 건생강 올레오레진의 성분들은 추출시간에 따라 함량이 증가하였으나 7분 이상의 극초단파 처리는 효과적이지 않았다. 따라서 극초단파를 이용하여 생강으로부터 고품질의 올레오레진을 추출하기 위해서는 추출공정 중 에찬올 농도에 따른 추출특성과 최적화 연구가 필요하다고 생각된다.

홍천산 모나자이트의 가성소다 분해 및 침출 (Caustic Soda Decomposition and Leaching of Monazite in Hong-Cheon Area Deposit.)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 홍천산 모나자이트 정광의 가성소다 분해 및 분해산물의 염산 침출에 대한 처리조건을 확립하고자 하였다. 분해 반응의 조건은 입자크기의 -200 mesh 이하이면 적절하였고, 반응온도 $460^{\circ}C$부근에서 원활한 분해가 이루어 졌으며, 가성소다 첨가량은 NaOH/TREO mole ratio 6정도가 효과적이다. 또한 침출반응의 조건은 염산농도 8N 및 반응온도 $80^{\circ}C$이상이 침출에 적절하였으며, 반응시간 2시간 및 광액 농도 10%가 효과적이다. 그리고 최적조건하에서 모나자이트의 분해 침출율은 90%이상이였고, 부산물 형태로 인산소다 화합물은 효과적으로 회수하였으며, 희토류 원소별 분리에 적합한 시료용액을 조제하였다.

저품위 Bauxite로부터 고순도 Al2O3의 합성(I) -Bauxite의 황산암모늄분해에 의한 Al 성분의 추출- (Synthesis of High Purity Al2O3 from Low Grade Bauxite Ore(I) -Extraction of Al Component by the Decomposition of Bauxite Ore with Ammonium Sulfate-)

  • 저품위 bauxite로부터 직접 고순도 $Al_2O_3$의 제조를 위한 Al 함유용액을 제조키 위해 $(NH_4)_2SO_4$에 의한 bauxite의 분해를 조사하였다. $(NH_4)_2SO_4$에 의한 bauxite의 분해반응에 의해 bauxite중의 Al성분은 $NH_4Al(SO_4)_2$$Al_2(SO_4)_3$로 황산화되었다. Bauxite의 분해조건은 반응온도 $425^{\circ}C$, 반응시간 40분, bauxite에 대한 $(NH_4)_2SO_4$의 무게비 7.0 그리고 bauxite의 입도 -200mesh였다. 황산화된 bauxite로 부터 Al성분의 침출조건은 침출온도 $100^{\circ}C$, 침출시간 1시간 그리고 침출용매인 물의 양은 1g bauxite의 황산화생성물당 200ml였다. 이상의 조건하에서 bauxite중에 94%의 Al성분이 침출 회수되었다.
