본 연구는 남북전쟁 이전 미국 루이지애나주 레드강 유역의 취락발달과정을 다루었다. 당시 프런티어에 들어선 우체국은 초기 기능지역의 결절점을 형성하였는데, 본 연구는 우체국의 업무기록에 수록된 통계자료를 바탕으로 우체국취락의 발달과정을 계층구조의 변화에 중점을 두고 접근하였다. 연구는 취락계층이 정보유통량에 비례한다는 가설을 전제로 수행하였다. 자료를 분석한 결과 크게 두 가지 사실을 확인하였는데, 초장기 취락발달이 배후지역으로의 확장을 특징으로 한 반면, 시대를 내려오면서 취락내부에 계층적 분화가 심화되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 구조 변화의 주원인은 무엇보다 세계체제내에서 유럽과 미국 북동부 섬유산업의 원료로 이용되는 면화경제의 발달이었다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the emotional color of home office and the trendy color with special comparison of office and library colors, and to suggest the harmony of color combination of home office based on the emotional color of this analytical data. this study, the Color Syntax Program, digital tool for color analysis of images is used. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, the main color of home office images shows three color classifications of YR-Y, Y-GY, R-YR, and with relatively high ratios of YR-Y in the color of home offices, and B-PB, GY-G in offices and libraries. Secondly, from the point of emotional aspect, the trendy color of the home office can be classified into four color image categories: 'natural', 'peaceful', 'mild', and 'noble'. Under those categories this paper proposes 10 color harmony scheme that can be applied to color of home office interior design.

This study purposes to increase the energy-saving effects by reducing excessive intensity of radiation of artificial lighting through analyzing daylight incident A photosensor sends amounts of detected luminous flux to digital control unit(DCU) as a signal and then, it can decide dimming ratios, received a proper dimming signal from DCU. Generally it Is effective to control artificial lighting with the different control ratio of each row by setting a photosensor as same numbers and rows as artificial lighting. However, it is ineffective to do in initial costs of systems aspect in offices. As a result of grasping the distribution of daylight previously, we can dim different dimming ratios to each row of artificial lighting by a single photosensor.

Recently, ordinary mail is decreasing continuously by the development of ICT (Information and Communications Technology) including E-mail, messenger service, and etc. On the contrary, parcel post is increasing by the increase of online shopping, home shopping, and etc. Aside from these changes, the demand for various mail acceptance and delivery means is increasing with the increase of single households and dual-income couples. To overcome these environmental changes, Korea Post installs unmanned post offices which are composed of various unmanned mail acceptance and delivery postal systems. In this paper, we propose the methodological approach for the site selection of unmanned post office among the existing post offices and the installation standard of unmanned postal system considering the operation cost by the mail volume.

This study finds out and suggests success factors for the application of RIMS project through the case study of Seoul Metro and literature survey. The successful application of RIMS needs expert knowledge and concept of BOM, standardization of maintenance planning, check lists of heavy maintenance inspection, organization structure of rolling stock maintenance offices, material management system of warehousing and the process of parts repairing between offices, connection of material ordering system, problem solving of circular spare parts administration among inspection, maintenance, and material organizational units, systemic serial number management of parts with RFID, daily closing diary connected with work process chart, and sufficient period of RIMS's test run. RIMS contributes to real time management of rolling stock maintenance, transparency of management, reliability of train operation, customer satisfaction, and management innovation.

PURPOSES: This study provides a methodology for estimating proper number of equipment for ordinary road management works. METHODS: Utilizing a computerized data of record systems (KAMIS) in 18 regional offices, two evaluation indicators were calculated and then normalized for objective comparison. Applied magnifying factor to the outputs, the proper number of equipment can be estimated. RESULTS: As a result, proper number of equipment by regional offices were required 28% more than current conditions. CONCLUSIONS: Using the proposed a methodology, fundamental data for scientific and reasonable strategies can be stored as well as be used for the future plan for budget allocation.

사무작업의 자동화와 정보화 건물의 발달에 따라 VDT의 이용이 급격하게 증가됨에 따라 VDT를 사무작업에서 사용하고 있는 사무실의 물리적 조명환경 실태를 조사하였다. 조사결과를 독일 기준과 비교할 때 VDT 화면중의 문자별 휘도비는 전체의 25.4%, 화면 전체의 휘도비는 28.6%가 기준에 미달하는 것으로 나타났다. 창을 마주보고 VDT작업을 할 경우 서류와 화면사이의 휘도대비는 매우 불량한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 측창을 배경으로 VDT작업을 할 경우에는 일반적으로 작업면 사이의 휘도대비가 적절한 것으로 나타났다. 조도의 측면에서 볼 때 전체적으로 VDT화면의 수직면 조도는 적절하게 나타났으나, 키보드와 서류의 수평면 조도는 외국기준의 1/2 정도로 나타나 보다 밝은 조명이 요구된다.

Recently, the balance of national properties of governmental offices and departments has been in deficit. Moreover, it has been also increasing rapidly. This study focuses on postal administration business which faces the financial crisis. The purpose of our study is to show devices for value improvement of pelt office. Research was based on a domestic post office which was decided to rebuild in Incheon Bupyeong. Research on domestic and foreign cases were carried out, superior cases for benchmarking was regulated so that these can be applied to the post offices to be built or to be remodeled.

In this paper, a field trial of the Korean-made optical fiber communication system is described. This system was installed between Gu-Ro and Ann-Yang telephone offices on November 1981, and carries a 44.7Mb/s NRZ signal(672 voice channel equivalent). For this trial, optical fiber cable, optical terminal equipment, optical repeater, fusion splicer and measurement equipment have been developed. Employing graded index optical fiber at a wave length of $0.85\;\mu\textrm{m}$, average optical attenuation and splicing losses of 3.6 dB/km and 0.4 dB, resectively, were realized. With link margins of 8~20dB and bit error rate of less than $10^{-10}$, this system has been carrying live traffic between Seoul and Ann Yang telephone offices.

The Seoul-Metro is the first city railroad corporation to operate RIMS(Rolling-stock Information Maintenance System). The development of "RIMS Project" and trial running task were started from Mar 29, 2001. Finally, this project was completed successfully on Dec 31, 2005, as integrated systems including light or heavy maintenance works in Ji-Chuk and Chang-Dong Rolling-stock Offices. After that, from 2006 to Dec 31, 2007, we promoted a this new program to other four rolling-stock offices (Su-Seo, Gun-Ja, Sin-Jeong) and the headquarter. For the duration of trial running, we developed and applied new complementary program having made up for the weak points or defects. The series of new program which were newly developed and applied are comprised of an operation management, trouble management, wheel management, heavy maintenance table automatic creation programs and ordering prediction programs to purchase goods smoothly. The Seoul-Metro have registered these programs(RIMS) to Computer Program Protection Committee. We'd like to introduce a composition of program for enhancement of a city railroad Information Systems.
