The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between self-directed learning readiness, stress coping, and academic resilience among freshman nursing students, and investigate the impact of self-directed learning readiness and stress coping on academic resilience. Data were collected from March 15 to March 26, 2022, using 205 questionnaires that were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 25.0. The results showed that the average self-directed learning readiness score of the participants was 2.61, the average stress coping score was 2.14, and the average academic resilience score was 2.36. Academic resilience was found to be positively correlated with self-directed learning readiness (r=.573, p<.001), problem-focused coping (r=.305, p<.001), seeks social support coping (r=.321, p<.001), and hopeful thought coping (r=.344, p<.001). The variables that affected academic resilience were self-directed learning readiness (β=.498, p<.001), seeks social support coping (β=.203, p=.001), and major satisfaction (β=.117, p=0.034), and these variables explained 44.8% of the variance in academic resilience. Therefore, to enhance academic resilience among nursing students, it is necessary to develop programs that improve self-directed learning readiness and promote active stress coping strategies.
Today’s teenagers were significantly deficient of calcium intakes, taking on the average only 55.4 percents of the recommended. Milk was the major source of calcium intakes, and therefore the school milk program need to be readdressed to remedy this problem. However, school milk program(SMP) was said to be simply the substitute for milk at home, so that no more than a minimal effect on total milk consumption be warranted. This Study aimed to find out whether or not the school milk program was an effective measure to increase teenager’s milk consumption and explored the relation between school milk and total milk consumption for 1,079 junior and senior high school students who were surveyed by questionnaire from 15th June to 15th July in 2006. A Tobit model was used for the statistical analysis. In this model, we first regressed milk consumption on 5 variables i.e. degree of satisfaction, participation in SMP, sex, school, region. But the variable region was not significant statistically. Then we regressed on 4 variables except for region. The results showed 4 variables were all significant and the marginal effect of variable ‘participation in SMP’ was 1.3. Especially, the marginal effect 1.3 means that the students participating in the school milk program consumed 1.3cups more than the non-participants, which indicated the effectiveness of school milk program to improve the calcium deficiency program of teenagers.

The goal of this research is to explore the opinions of the resident's neighboring within sewage disposal plants, to investigate the differences in accordance with each location of sewage disposal plants, and to examine the determinants to impact on the sewage disposal plants. The multivariate analysis of variance model and regression model are employed as the empirical analysis for this research. The major findings are as follows; as a rule, most of residents represented the sewage disposal plants are essential public facilities. The sewage disposal plants could be positively considered under proper compensation and negotiation, It is found that the satisfaction level against accomplishing process of the sewage disposal plants facilities are very low. In addition, it was revealed that the determinants to impact on the sewage disposal plants showed differently according to each current location of sewage disposal plants. It means that there are no absolutely concrete reasons to oppose the sewage disposal plants and they can be somewhat different by the each local characteristics. Therefore, these findings provide for the policy makers related with the NIMBY facilities including the sewage disposal plants with valuable information.

The purpose of this study was to develop Team Based Learning (TBL) course for students majoring skin care and analyze the effectiveness as well as derive improvement plans. TBL focuses on putting pre-class learning about learning content and the time saved by it into practice activities that apply what is learned. The ADDIE model and the TBL model were applied as the developmental research methodology, and the 'skin care' subject, which was previously taught by lecture base, was redesigned as a TBL class. In addition, the study developed weekly based pre-class learning materials, quiz items for checking pre-class learning, and the team activities' plan. Then, an experimental study was conducted with 43 university students and the effects of TBL instruction were analyzed as follows. First, students who participated in the TBL class showed higher achievement than those who participated in the lecture class, which is a comparative group, especially in the academic achievement that evaluated the acquisition and application of the major concept. Second, there was no significant difference in pretest and posttest results on problem solving ability and cooperative self-efficacy for TBL students. Third, overall satisfaction with TBL class was 4.0, which is high. The discussion of these findings was described, and three suggestions for improving and researching TBL classes were presented.
The present research is aimed at to examine the relationships between wisdom and age, also between wisdom and its psychological adaptation among middle and elder adults in Korea. Moreover, using data on 240 middle-aged and elder adults, the relationship between different aspects of wisdom and aging well were not only examined, but also explored age differences of wisdom through adulthood. The major findings from the study are summarized as follows. first, the wisdom scores of middle-aged and elder adults were significantly higher than those of young adults. While 'cognitive competency' and 'positive life attitude' factors had no significant differences. It means that 'cognitive competency' and 'positive life attitude' wisdom could be stable across adulthood. However, 'moderation and balance' and 'sympathetic interpersonal relationship' wisdom of elders were significantly higher than those of young adults. second, in middle and elder adults, Wisdom was found to be positively related with life satisfaction, well-being, death acceptance, experiences of positive emotion, generativity, ego integration, and positive life review. while on the other hand, contrast wisdom to be negatively related with depression, fear of death, perceived stress and experiences of negative emotion. The results from the study were examined by ecological validity of wisdom. Accordingly, a number of limitations and implications of the research were acknowledged.
As advertising and promotions are categorized as operating expenses, managers tend to reduce marketing budget to improve their short term profitability. Gauging the value and accountability of marketing spending is therefore considered as a major research priority in marketing. To respond this call, recent studies have documented that financial market reacts positively to a firm's marketing activity or marketing related outcomes such as brand equity and customer satisfaction. However, prior studies focus on the relation of marketing variable and financial market variables. This study suggests a channel about how marketing activity increases firm valuation. Specifically, we propose that a firm's marketing activity increases the level of the firm's product market information and thereby the dispersion in financial analysts' earnings forecasts decreases. With less uncertainty about the firm's future prospect, the firm's managers and shareholders have less information asymmetry, which reduces the firm's cost of capital and thereby increases the valuation of the firm. To our knowledge, this is the first paper to examine how informational benefits can mediate the effect of marketing activity on firm value. To test whether marketing activity contributes to increase in firm value by mitigating information asymmetry, this study employs a longitudinal data which contains 12,824 firm-year observations with 2,337 distinct firms from 1981 to 2006. Firm value is measured by Tobin's Q and one-year-ahead buy-and-hold abnormal return (BHAR). Following prior literature, dispersion in analysts' earnings forecasts is used as a proxy for the information gap between management and shareholders. For model specification, to identify mediating effect, the three-step regression approach is adopted. All models are estimated using Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods to test the statistical significance of the mediating effect. The analysis shows that marketing intensity has a significant negative relationship with dispersion in analysts' earnings forecasts. After including the mediator variable about analyst dispersion, the effect of marketing intensity on firm value drops from 1.199 (p < .01) to 1.130 (p < .01) in Tobin's Q model and the same effect drops from .192 (p < .01) to .188 (p < .01) in BHAR model. The results suggest that analysts' forecast dispersion partially accounts for the positive effect of marketing on firm valuation. Additionally, the same analysis was conducted with an alternative dependent variable (forecast accuracy) and a marketing metric (advertising intensity). The analysis supports the robustness of the main results. In sum, the results provide empirical evidence that marketing activity can increase shareholder value by mitigating problem of information asymmetry in the capital market. The findings have important implications for managers. First, managers should be cognizant of the role of marketing activity in providing information to the financial market as well as to the consumer market. Thus, managers should take into account investors' reaction when they design marketing communication messages for reducing the cost of capital. Second, this study shows a channel on how marketing creates shareholder value and highlights the accountability of marketing. In addition to the direct impact of marketing on firm value, an indirect channel by reducing information asymmetry should be considered. Potentially, marketing managers can justify their spending from the perspective of increasing long-term shareholder value.
This study is a descriptive comparative study to identify personal characteristics and nursing work characteristics according to the presence or absence of back pain of nurses in intensive care units in general hospitals and to explore major factors that affect back pain induction. A survey was conducted on nurses in the intensive care unit of a general hospital located in D City, and a total of 100 copies were used for analysis. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, chi-square test, Fisher accurate test, and logistic regression analysis were performed using IBM SPSS 24.0. The study found that 69% of intensive care unit nurses had back pain, 65.2% of which experienced back pain for more than three months in the past year, and 84.1% had back pain after working in the intensive care unit. In the back pain intensity score measured by NRS, 49% answered that they experienced 4 or more points. As factors related to back pain, gender (p=.03) were significant variables in personal characteristics, in the characteristics of nursing work, the number of patient assistance (p=.03) and the number of patient exchanges (p=.01), heavy lifting (p=.04), satisfaction with the condition of the shoes (p=<.001) was found to be a significant variable affecting back pain induction. It is considered that hospital organization and national policies are needed to prevent and manage low back pain in intensive care unit nurses.

This study was attempted to confirm the effects of learning flow, academic stress, and resilience on self-efficacy in college students. This study targeted 304 university students in B and G cities. Data analysis was analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS 22.0 program. The average self-efficacy of the subjects was 3.14±0.62 points, and the difference in self-efficacy according to general characteristics was significant in gender(t=-2.533, p=.012) and satisfaction with major(F=5.687, p=.004). Self-efficacy of the subjects was positive correlation with learning flow(r=.574, p<.001), resilience(r=.525, p<.001), and negative correlation with academic stress(r=-.262, p<.001). Resilience of the subjects showed positive correlation with learning flow(r=.325, p<.001) and negative correlation with academic stress(r=-.291, p<.001). Learning flow showed negative correlation with academic stress(r=-.211, p<.001). Factors influencing the self-efficacy of the subjects were identified as academic commitment (β=.442, p<.001) and resilience (β=.363, p<.001) and the explanatory power was 45.6%. Therefore, in order to improve college students' self-efficacy, it is necessary to develop and apply education and programs that can improve learning flow and resilience.

This study was attempted to confirm the effects of covert narcissism, self-directed learning ability, academic achievement on self-leadership in nursing students. This study targeted 247 nursing students in B and Y cities. Data analysis was analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS 22.0 program. The average self-leadership of the subjects was 3.14±0.62 points, and the difference in self-leadership according to general characteristics was significant in major satisfaction (F=11.111, p<.001). There was positive correlation between self-leadership and self-directed learning ability (r=.630, p<.001), academic achievement (r=.532, p<.001), and negative correlation between covert narcissism (r=-.206, p=.001). The factors influencing the subject's self-leadership were identified as covert narcissism (β=-.147, p=.031), self-directed learning ability (β=.468, p<.001) and academic achievement (β=.282, p<.001) and the explanatory power was 46.9%. Based on the results of the study, the necessary of developing an effective education program considering the self-leadership and related factors of nursing students was suggested.

This study was conducted to lay the basis of the need of the self-directed learning ability, critical thinking, communicative ability, problem solving skills for nursing students by confirming the effect of problem based learning classes of nursing students. The data collection period was from March 1 to June 7, 2022. It was provided problem based learning classes to 165 nursing students located at B city. Problem based learning classes were conducted at total of 14 times, and 100 minutes/time. The collected data were analyzed using the frequency and percentage, Cronbach's α, mean and standard deviation with the SPSS Win 21.0 program, and the effectiveness verification of problem based learning classes was analyzed with a paired t-test. As a result of the effectiveness of the problem based learning class, the self-directed learning ability(t=-2.08, p=.039), critical thinking(t=-2.49, p=.014), communicative ability(t=-4.90, p<.001), problem solving skills(t=-4.84, p<.001) of nursing students who took 14 weeks of problem based learning was enhanced. Based on the results of this study, by applying it in various ways to first-year nursing students, it will be possible to use them to improve their competence, major satisfaction, and adapt to college life.
