In this study, in order to analyze the effects of dental technology students' degree of satisfaction with their major and sense of self-esteem on college life stress, we conducted a self-administered questionnaire for 270 dental technology students. conducted a frequency analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis, and the results are as follows. As a result of analyzing the degree of major satisfaction, there was a significant difference in the department satisfaction (p<.05). The average score in major satisfaction was relatively high at 3.68. As a result of analyzing the level of self-esteem, there was a significant difference in grade and department satisfaction (p<.05). The average score in self-esteem question was relatively high at 3.75. As a result of analyzing the level of college life stress, there was a significant difference in the department satisfaction (p<.05). The average score for each college life stress area was relatively low at 1.97. As a result of analyzing the correlation between college life stress, major satisfaction, and self-esteem, college life stress was found to have a significant negative (-) correlation with major satisfaction and self-esteem. As a result of a regression analysis conducted on the effect of self-esteem and major satisfaction on college life stress, the variable that most influenced college life stress was found to be the self-esteem factor.
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of major satisfaction, self-esteem and nursing professionalism on college (life) adjustment in nursing students. Methods: Data were collected using structured questionnaires from 179 nursing students at a university located in Seoul. The collected data were analyzed through the mean and standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 27.0. Results: As a result, the average major satisfaction was 4.08 out of 5, the average self-esteem was 3.02 out of 4, the average nursing professionalism was 3.87 out of 5, and college life adjustment was 3.77 out of 5. Major satisfaction, self-esteem, and nursing professionalism were statistically correlated with college life adjustment. Self-esteem (β=.33, p<.001), major satisfaction (β=.24, p=.003), and major satisfaction at the time of admission (β=.22, p=.002) had a significant effect on college life adjustment. These factors explained 47.7% of college life adjustment (F=24.22, p<.001). Conclusion: The findings suggest there is a need to develop an educational program for nursing students to improve their self-esteem and major satisfaction.
The purpose of this study was to examine the recognition about food preparation and cooking ability of college students majoring in food & nutrition and others. Data were collected from 729 students residing in Chonbuk area by using a self-administered questionnaire. Food and nutrition major students got significantly higher scores than non-major. ones in the recognition of significance and interest in cooking activity. Both food and nutrition major and non-major female students recognized the necessity of cooking ability than non-major male students. Sixty eight percent of the subjects answered that they have aided often his or her family to cook at home. The students majoring in food and nutrition were interested in various fields such as Korean, western style and fusion food. Most of the respondents teamed how to cook from family at home; however major students have learned cooking not only from family but also from various channels such as culinary school, TV and books. The practical use of knowledge about food science was very low in most respondents. The cooking methods used frequently were sauteing, broiling and deep-fat-frying. This study showed that both food and nutrition major and non-major students recognized the necessity of cooking ability and had interests in cooking activity, but cooking ability of non-major ones was significantly lower than that of major students, and the traditional consciousness that women have to take charge of cooking at home tends to be decreasing.

Significant factors were emotional intelligence (${\beta}=.30$, p<.001), grade (${\beta}=.20$, p<.001), major commitment (${\beta}=.18$, p=.002), and vocational calling (${\beta}=.11$, p=.035). Moreover, major commitment showed partial mediating effects on vocational calling and happiness. Major commitment also showed partial mediating effects on emotional intelligence and happiness. Conclusion: The results suggest that nursing college students' happiness can be increased through strategies aimed at increasing vocational calling, emotional intelligence, and major commitment.
As other major, students have difficulties to be successfully adapted to computer science major without some interest and skill to computer programming. In this paper, we try to find successful factors for computer science major freshmen students to computer programming. The factors we focused are programming experience before college entrance, taking liberal arts/natural science courses at high school, application motivations to computer major, existence of mentors, satisfaction to his/her computer department, student's holland job aptitude code. After analysis, taking liberal arts/natural science courses at high school, satisfaction to computer department, some holland job aptitude code are significant to their successful adaptation to computer major. Also, we found the holland job apptitude code is closely related to student's satisfaction to their major for engineering students including computer science students. Our analysis results will be a suggestion for designing computer science education program with students who enters college without some aptitude or preparation to his major.
Purpose: This study aims to understand the relationship between university major satisfaction and job preference according to DISC behavior patterns. Methods: To conduct our evaluation, we surveyed a group of 118 students from the Department of Dental Laboratory Technology at the college of Jinju city from August 31 to September 11, 2020. The collected data was evaluated through frequency analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, one-way ANOVA, and regression analysis. Results: The analysis revealed that the steadiness type had the highest and the dominance type had the lowest major satisfaction level by DISC behavior type. The job preference was different for each DISC behavior type, and higher the preference for stability and development, the higher the degree of satisfaction with the major. Conclusion: These results suggest that DISC behavior type, major satisfaction, and job preference are all related. Therefore, these factors should be considered when implementing career guidance and educational programs for college students.

In this study, a model curriculum for the Library and Information Science programs in Junior Colleges is presented by comparing those curricula of the Republic of Korea, the United States of America, England and Japan. In Korea, 80 credits are required for graduate of Junior College and 60 credits of that total credits are for major courses. At Toshokan Danki Daikagu in Japan, 73 credits are opened for the Department of Library Science and 87 credits for the Department of Library and Information Science respectively. In the United States of America, 30 credits for major courses out of 90 total credits are opened at Lansing Community College and 24 credits for major courses out of 60-64 credits at Mesa Community College distinctively. On the basis of the various analyses, the following principles are applied in designning the model curriculum; (1) Possibly 3 credits per subject are assigned, (2) Major credits for graduate are 60-64 credits including possible optional subjects, (3) 20 percents of those 60-64 credits shall be applied for electives, so that 72-78 credits are assigned for major, (4) In order to combine theory and practice, and to select practice areas as required major, the ratio between required and elective must be adjusted, (5) In order to avoid duplication of subject, adequate individuality must be provided, (6) The Information Science areas must be dealt with in Library Science since computer systems are being rapidly adopted in libraries and the education for resources of materials and foreign languages are also important for successful fulfillment of mediator's roles between materials and users. Therefore the following model curriculum is suggested; 31 credits in 11 subjects for required major, 46 credits in 18 subjects for electives in major, total 77 credits for 29 subjects are established, and it includes such areas as material organization, foreign languages, resources of materials, library management, information science, fundamental studies, services and practice.

Rupture of the pectoralis major muscle typically occurs in the young, active male. Acute management of these injuries is recommended; however, what if the patient presents with a chronic tear of the pectoralis major? Physical exams and magnetic resonance imaging can help identify the injury and guide the physician with a plan for management. Nonoperative management is feasible, but is recommended for elderly, low-demand patients whose functional goals are minimal. Repair of chronic tears should be reserved for younger, healthier patients with high functional demands. Although operative management provides better functional outcomes, operative treatment of chronic pectoralis tears can be challenging. Tendon retraction, poor tendinous substance and quality of tissue, muscle atrophy, scar formation, and altered anatomy make direct repairs complicated, often necessitating auto- or allograft use. We review the various graft options and fixation methods that can be used when treating patients with chronic pectoralis major tears.
By the research of the actual state of food consciousness as the object of male, female 421 college students by major, non-major in food dietetics, the results are as follows. The validity degree of the guestion article appeared at the analysis of the knowledge of nutrition(the figure of Cronbach "${\alpha}$" overall 0.58, major 0.62, non-major 0.57). In the interest degree about nutrition knowledge of the major students were significant(P<0.05), but the non-major students were not significant, and there was a difference between two groups of the male and female, major and non-major students in the information about knowledge. The knowledge of the major students mostly get from school education, non-major from mass communication as TV and rodio, etc. There was not significant difference in self-consciousness degree of health of all the male, female students by major, non-major, and the self-consciousness degree about health of should not be significant to the food habit. Therefore deviating from acquirement of nutrition knowledge by the wrong medium of food consciousness of home dietary life, improvement plans should be activated for the right knowledge to practice in actual life. Taking the opportunity of food and nutrition education through literary subject in the curriculum of the college for students, good food consciousness must be properly applied all the part of dietary life, and it is urgent for them to carry out scientific and reasonable curriculum and educational material development.
