  • DSM Investment Programs are accomplished by KOGAS and KDHC, based on 'Article 15, Rational Energy Utilization Act'. By this act, suppliers are accomlishing DSM Investment Programs with much budget and contribute national DSM. However, there was no assessment systems for the quantitative evaluation of DSM Investment Programs in natural gas and district heating domains, yet. In order to overcome this problem, we constructed the assessment system which select quantitative programs, analyze impact factors, develop logic and equations and computerize this system. With this system, we can give objective and reliable output of DSM Investment Programs and evaluation tool to promote them efficiently. In this paper, we write the development process, method and utilization of this assessment system.

  • In this research, we propose a Unified Fuzzy rule-based knowledge Inference Systems (UFIS) to help the expert in cosmetic brand detection. Users' preferred cosmetic product detection is very important in the level of CRM. To this purpose, many corporations trying to develop an efficient data mining tool. In this study, we develop a prototype fuzzy rule detection and inference system. The framework used in this development is mainly based on two different mechanisms such as fuzzy rule extraction and RDB (Relational DB)-based fuzzy rule inference. First, fuzzy clustering and fuzzy rule extraction deal with the presence of the knowledge in data base and its value is presented with a value between 0 -1. Second, RDB and SQL (Structured Query Language)-based fuzzy rule inference mechanism provide more flexibility in knowledge management than conventional non-fuzzy value-based KMS (Knowledge Management Systems).

BDD를 이용한 complex term의 최소화와 cellular architecture FPGA에의 응용 (Minimization of Complex Terms using BDD and it's Application to Cellular Architecture FPGA)

  • An efficient synthesis method of cellular architecture FPgA is proposed in this paper. To generate a logical representation called complex term which is to be directly mapped onto the cellular architecture FPGA, and SO or ESOP minimization tool was used in previous methods. Instead, we use a logic function transformed into BDD (binary decision diagram) in the actual generation of the complex temrs. In this process it estimates the cost(i.e. the number of complex terms) for three branches, 0-branch and 1-branches. This process is continued over the whole BDD to do such computation, and we observed that the number of complex terms has been reduced compared to the previous results.

Parametric Study on Bellows of Piping System Using Fuzzy Theory

  • This paper describes a novel automated analysis system for bellows of piping system. An automatic finite element (FE) mesh generation technique, which is based on the fuzzy theory and computational geometry technique, is incorporated into the system, together with one of commercial FE analysis codes and one of commercial solid modelers. In this system, a geometric model, i.e. an analysis model, is first defined using a commercial solid modelers for 3-D shell structures. Node is generated if its distance from existing node points is similar to the node spacing function at the point. The node spacing function is well controlled by the fuzzy knowledge processing. The Delaunay triangulation technique is introduced as a basic tool for element generation. The triangular elements are converted to quadrilateral elements. Practical performances of the present system are demonstrated through several analysis for bellows of piping system.

  • Petri nets(PN) have been introduced as a poweful analyzing and design tool for the discrete systems such as sequential control systems. However, one of the important problems in its applications is that the model can not be analyzed easily when we deal with large scale systems because of increase of the number of components of the systems. To overcome this problem, some methods for dividing or reducing of PN have been suggested. In this paper, an approach for hierarchical expression of PN based on Sequential Function Chart(SFC) and Bottom Up oriented Mehodology(BUM) is proposed. Especially, some definition and rules are defined in order to divide and compose sub PN. A measuring tank system will be described as a typical kind of discrete systems and modeled by some sub PN based on the SFC and BUM by the proposed method in this paper.

L-upper Approximation Operators and Join Preserving Maps

  • In this paper, we investigate the properties of join and meet preserving maps in complete residuated lattice using Zhang's the fuzzy complete lattice which is defined by join and meet on fuzzy posets. We define L-upper (resp. L-lower) approximation operators as a generalization of fuzzy rough sets in complete residuated lattices. Moreover, we investigate the relations between L-upper (resp. L-lower) approximation operators and L-fuzzy preorders. We study various L-fuzzy preorders on $L^X$. They are considered as an important mathematical tool for algebraic structure of fuzzy contexts.

  • Many other unit commitment performed by complex mathmatical problems and algorithmm. but fuzzy logic is not concerned with mathmatical formulations so unit commitment is scheduled with ease. and fuzzy can express many constraints which has uncertanity feasibly because it use lingustic expressions. In this paper MATLAB is used as a simulation tool. Fuzzy Toolbox is made to make fuzzy control systems. Using this Toolbox easily and effectly we can make good unit commitment.

  • This paper presents an investigation of a vehicle-to-vehicle distance control using a Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation(HiLS) system. Since vehicle tests are costly and time consuming, how to establish a efficient and low cost development tool is an important issue. The HiLS system consists of a stepper motor, an electronic vacuum booster, a controller unit and two computers which are used to form real time simulation and to save vehicle parameters and signals of actuator through a CAN(Controller Area Network). Adoption of a CAN for communication is a trend in the automotive industry. Since this environment is the same as that of a real vehicle, a distance control logic verified in laboratory can be easily transfered to a test vehicle.

  • A feature-based inspection planning system is proposed in this research to develop more efficient measuring methodology for the OMM (On-machine measurement) for complicated workpiece having many primitive form features. This paper focuses on the development of the CAIP (computer-aided inspection system) methodologies. The optimum inspection sequences for the features are determined by analyzing the feature information such as the nested relations and the possible probe approaching directions of the features, and forming feature groups. A series of heuristic rules are developed to accomplish it. Also, each feature is decomposed into its constituent geometric elements, and then the number of sampling points, the locations of the measuring point, the optimum probing path are determined by applying the fuzzy logic, Hammersley's method, and the TSP algorithm. To verify the proposed methodologies, simulations are carried out and the results are analyzed.

  • In this paper, it is presented a new technique to the design and real-time implementation of fuzzy control system based-on digital signal processors in order to improve the precision and robustness for system of industrial robot. Fuzzy control has emerged as one of the most active and fruitful areas for research in the applications of fuzzy set theory, especially in the real of industrial processes. In this thesis, a self-organizing fuzzy controller for the industrial robot manipulator with a actuator located at the base is studied. A fuzzy logic composed of linguistic conditional statements is employed by defining the relations of input-output variable of the controller, In the synthesis of a FLC, one of the most difficult problems is the determination of linguistic control rules from the human operators. To overcome this difficult, SOFC is proposed for a hierarchical control structure consisting of basic level and high level that modify control rules.
