건축공사 현장관리자의 워라밸 개선에 대한 요구사항 분석 (Analysis of Requirements for Improvement of the Work-Life Balance of Construction Managers)

  • The objective of this study is analyzing of requirements for improvement of the work-life balance of construction managers working in Korean construction companies. A survey has been conducted to analyze the requirements for improvement of construction managers. The survey was conducted on construction managers working in the field of architectural construction. 59 field managers working in 18 Korean construction companies responded to the survey. Upon analysis of the survey, the working hours were excessive and recreational time was very poor for the construction managers. There were differences in the answers regarding the areas that require improvement in the working conditions based on the age groups of the construction managers. A majority of young technicians selected that the recreational time and content of work require improvement, and technicians with a lot of experience selected that the stability of occupation and wage require improvement.

  • Korean workplaces can and should reflect the realities of the 21st century workforce. Leading companies try to plan and implement family-friendly policies for their employees, but most of them in fact do not offer family-friendly policies or offer only a few such policies. Therefore, this study seeks to suggest policies that can lead to better family-friendly cultures at workplaces. A family-friendly company culture allows for a better work-life balance, including flexible schedules and generous family-leave policies. This study suggests a family-friendly committee for work-life balance and a role for the government as a leading organization.

여대생의 하지근력운동에 따른 균형능력의 변화 (A Change of Balance Ability by Leg strength exercise of Female University Students)

  • Purpose. This study was conducted to find out about the differences in the women's ability to balance women in the movement to strengthen their lower extremities. Methods. The study was a functional reach test and Y Balance test, to examine the static and dynamic balance of women in their 20s who do not have a surgical history at H University. For the strengthening of the lower strength, the lower leg muscles were reinforced by half squats and the thera band movement. The SPSS ver.18.0 Wilcoxon test was used to see the difference in balance as an analysis. Results. The results of the study showed a statistically significant difference in balance ability before and after the intervention. Conclusions. Steady low-strength campaigns can improve muscle strength and balance, and further improve quality of life.

여성 근로자의 일과 삶의 균형 유형화 : 전일제 여성 임금근로자를 중심으로 (A Typology of Female Workers' Work-Life Balance: Focused on Full-Time Female Paid Workers Using the 2009 Korean Time Survey)

  • This study classified the current work-life balance of full-time female paid workers and tested the typology by using the 2009 Korean Time Survey. The categorization demographic and psychological characteristics of women belonging to each type were comparatively analyzed. It was found that full-time female paid workers used an average of 435.7 minutes for work, 146.4 minutes for family, 104.5 minutes for leisure, and 17.7 minutes for growth. On the basis of times used in each area of work and life, individuals were classified into family-oriented type, work-leisure parallel type, work-oriented type, work-growth parallel type, and work-family parallel type. Psychological characteristics were examined by type. The work-oriented type women experienced feelings of lack of time and fatigue the most compared with women of other types. From examining the influence that the amount of time used in each area of work and life had on psychological characteristics, it was shown that the activity time relevant to leisure influenced psychological characteristics the most. Lastly, based on the limitations of this study, future assignments are discussed.

Assessment of the Purity of Emodin by Quantitative Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy and Mass Balance

  • Quantitative nuclear magnetic resonance (qNMR) is a well-established method adopted by international pharmacopoeia for quantitative and purity analyses. Emodin is a type of anthraquinone, well known as the main active component of Fabaceae, Polygonaceae and Rhamnaceae. Purity analysis of emodin is usually performed by using the high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-UV method. However, it cannot detect impurities such as salts, volatile matter, and trace elements. Using the qNMR method, it is possible to determine the compound content as well as the nature of the impurities. Several experimental parameters were optimized for the quantification, such as relaxation delay, spectral width, number of scans, temperature, pulse width, and acquisition time. The method was validated, and the results of the qNMR method were compared with those obtained by the HPLC and mass balance analysis methods. The qNMR method is specific, rapid, simple, and therefore, a valuable and reliable method for the purity analysis of emodin.

  • This study aims to analyze the elements to enhance and activate the quality of life by establishment of family-friendly environment through face-to-face interviews in family-friendly certified firms in UIsan. As a result, its activation is possible when each party of companies- employees-government tries to change, and its main elements and outcomes are as follows. First, 'management philosophy of the company representative' showed to directly affect development of flat organization culture and system activation, with respect to the companies. Second for employees, 'value changes to prioritize work-life balance' demonstrated to affect the utilizations and establishment of family-friendly systems within the organization as the critical element. Lastly, it is considered for government to be able to activate this if 'delivery system with professionality' is secured to help 'legalization of policy,' company productivity, and work-life balance of employees. On the other hand, further studies on the elements to be able to activate family-friendly certifications and analysis on its justification are required by expanding the number of companied in Ulsan.

중소기업 근로자의 일·생활 균형을 위한 가족친화경영 우수사례연구 (A Qualitative Case Study of Work-Family Balance at Five Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises)

  • This qualitative case study focuses on five small and medium-sized enterprises which have put family-friendly management into successful practice. Through in-depth unstructured interviews with five human resources managers and ten employees, we describe each firm's approach to work-life balance including working hour reductions, breaks, work flexibility, and parental leave to build an overall picture. We also discuss the four key factors of the CEO's role; democratic communication between all staff, the usefulness of family-friendly certification as a starting point; and governmental support for promoting work-life balance at small and medium-sized enterprises. Finally, we suggest three political implications of governmental support, namely CEO education, changing the criteria of family-friendly certification to redefine working hours and work flexibility, and incentives specifically for small to medium-sized enterprises.

만성 허리 통증 노인의 오스웨스트리 장애지수, 버그 균형 척도, 보행 시 운동학적 움직임과의 상관관계 (Correlation between the Oswestry Disability Index, Berg Balance Scale, and Kinematic Data during Gait Analysis in Elderly People with Chronic Back Pain)

  • PURPOSE: Chronic low back pain is one of the main factors that affect the quality of life and cause problems of gait and balance in elderly people. This study investigated the correlation between the Oswestry disability index (ODI), Berg balance scale (BBS), and kinematic data measured while analyzing the gait of elderly people with chronic back pain. METHODS: A total of 29 subjects participated in this study. The ODI, BBS, and kinematic data of lower extremities were measured while walking. All data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficients and the significance was measured at .05. RESULTS: ODI had a significant correlation with 1, 13, and 14 items of BBS (p < .05), and left hip external rotation and right ankle abduction respectively in the stance and swing phase of gait (p < .01). 13 items of BBS had a significant correlation with the right ankle abduction in the stance phase of gait (p < .01). In addition, 14 items of BBS had a significant correlation with right and left ankle abduction in the stance and swing phase of gait (p < .01). CONCLUSION: While attempting to predict chronic low back pain and balance issues, it may be useful to check the right ankle abduction in the stance and swing phase of gait. In the future, it would be helpful if some simple tests could be designed to assess balance in elderly people with chronic low back pain.

일-가정 균형과 관련된 법과 정책의 비교고찰 (A Study on the Laws and Policies Relating to Work-Family Balance)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the laws and policies relating to work-family balance with foreign cases, and to analyse the problems in implementing those laws and policies. For these purpose, this study compares family leave policies, working hams policies, public care policies in other countries. And these laws in Korea are shown. This study also analyse the policies for work-family balance in labor policy, family policy, gender policy and saeromaji plan. The results are as follows; policies for work-family balance are limited to child care and family leave. Laws for family leave are various and proper. But implementing rate of policy goal is low and a few people can benefit by those laws and policies. So, wide-range policies for work-family balance which all the families can benefit are needed.

기혼직장인의 가족친화적 조직문화가 가족건강성에 미치는 영향: 일과 삶의 균형의 매개효과를 중심으로 (Effects of Married Employees' Family-Friendly Culture on Family Strength: A Focus on the Mediating Effect of Work-Life Balance)

  • 본 연구는 기혼직장인의 가족친화적 조직문화가 가족건강성과 어떤 관계가 있는지 탐색하고, 그 관계에서 일과 삶의 균형의 매개효과를 분석하고자 하였다. 조사대상자는 20-60대 기혼직장인 213명 이었다. 통계분석은 SPSS 18.0을 사용하여 기술통계, 차이검증, 회귀분석과 매개효과는 Baron & Kenny(1986)의 분석방법을 사용하였다. 분석방법에 따른 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기혼직장인의 일반적특성과 가족건강성과의 차이를 분석하였다. 일반적 특성 중 연령대가 60대, 40~50대, 20~30대 순으로, 교육수준이 고졸이하보다 대졸과 대학원졸 이상인 경우, 조력자가 없는 경우보다 있는 경우, 가구소득이 400만원 이하보다 601만원 이상인 경우, 직급이 실무자보다 중간관리 이상인 경우 가족건강성이 더 높았다. 둘째, 가족건강성에 영향을 미치는 요인을 알아보기 위해 위계적회귀분석을 실시한 결과 연령이 낮을수록, 가족친화적 조직문화와 일과 삶의 균형 수준이 높을수록 기혼직장인들의 가족건강성 수준이 높았다. 셋째, Baron & Kenny(1986)의 매개효과 분석결과 가족친화적 조직문화와 가족건강성과의 관계에서 일과 삶의 균형은 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 기혼직장인의 가족건강성 향상을 위한 대안으로 가족친화적 조직문화와 일과 삶의 균형이 중요한 요인임을 검증하였다.
