  • Various applications store informations using difference databases according to respective goals. However, in order to serve data in several databases with one application program, it is needed to integrate data in respective databases. This paper describes development of integrated middle-ware system that selects only necessary informations from heterogeneous databases and save them.

  • Various types of middle-ware were created for integration between legacy systems and newly built systems. RPC(Remote Procedure Call), MOM(Message Oriented Middle-ware) and TM(Transaction processing Monitor) are the typical types of middle-ware. One of the most known MOM type middle-ware is PS(Publish/Subscribe). PS enables to create a system which has low coupling and high scalability. But PS based systems also have low cohesiveness. On the contrary, RPC has high cohesiveness but also has high coupling. This paper proposed design and implementation of hybrid model which offset disadvantages of RPC and PS.

On secondary mathematics teachers' technology integration self-efficacy (중학교 수학교사의 테크놀로지 통합 자기효능감에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the secondary mathematics teachers' technology integration self-efficacy with respect to geometry classes which they had experienced during last 1 year, 2015. For this study, we developed and validated the questionnaires based on TPACK framework in secondary geometry context. The questionnaires contained 28 items examining the secondary mathematics teachers' TPACK. We conducted the item analysis with 28 items and then the exploring factor analysis. As a result, 28 items was categorized into 5 constructs, TPCK, TCK, TK, PCK, PK, different from Mishra and Koehler's categorization. We analyzed the secondary mathematics teachers' technology integration self-efficacy with respect to geometry classes based on 5 TPACK constructs. The results indicated that there were no significant differences in technology integration self-efficacy according to gender. But technology integration self-efficacy according to the years of teaching experience differed significantly. The more years of teaching experiences teachers have, the lower level of TPCK and TK they have and the more years of teaching experiences teachers have, the higher level of PCK they have. The results also showed that there ware significant difference in TPCK according to the existence and non-existence of taking the technology courses during the time at university. Furthermore, we provide the implication for the professional preparation program for the mathematics teachers in middle schools.

  • Nowadays, to realize ubiquitous computing environment, many research activities have been going on within various kinds of research domains including automatic identification, sensor network, home network, telematics and so on. Especially, RFID middle-ware that supports the aggregation of RFID tag data, control and management, and the integration with legacy systems has recently gained a lot of attention. Meanwhile, EPCglobal defined an ALE(Application Level Events) standard specification, which exists between RFID readers and applications, and substitutes the previous systems called Savant. In the specification internal structures and implementation technologies of ALE are not mentioned and only external interfaces are defined. This approach easies the verification of standard compliance and inter-operability of the layer. In this paper, we present the design of ALE-compliant RFID middle-ware systems that process RFID tag data efficiently.

  • 정보통신 산업의 발전과 네트워크 기술은 산업발전에 많은 영향을 끼치고 있으며 산업뿐 아니라 가정내에도 큰 변화를 가져오고 있다. 인터넷 정보 가전 제어 미들웨어 기술은 홈 네트워크에 연결된 다양한 정보 가전을 사용자가 기존 기기를 이용하듯이 제어하고 기기간의 상호 연동성을 보장하는 소프트웨어 기술로 인터넷정보 가전 분야의 성패를 가름할 핵심 기술로 중요성이 빠르게 확장되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 웹상의 사용자가 인터넷이 가능한 단말기를 이용하여 홈 네트워크의 홈 서버에 접속후 통합된 제어 미들웨어 시스템을 이용하여 가정에 있는 인터넷 정보 가전을 제어하는 방법을 연구하였다.

  • Event notification service is a event-based messaging middle ware service needed for various vertical domains, such as, business applications, distributed system management, and web service integration. In this paper, we investigate the architecture of an event notification service that includes a subject-based event dissemination service and a flexible message communication service. The event dissemination service is in charge of transferring events asynchronously but speedy according to the subjects of events and their environmental knowledge. It also includes content-based message filtering. The message communication service provides a common communication infrastructure supporting variety types of messages and variety of protocols. Depending on application domains and situation, we can re-configurate the communication infrastructure in order to optimize the efficiency and usability. This paper shows the performance analysis of our event notification service with various types of message formats and protocols.

  • Telematics is a wireless data communication system that provides various information services for driver's the safety or entertainment, and it makes drivers possible to use those services in the moving space, as if he/she is at home or at office. As telecommunication technology develops and Telematics market grows larger, standard platform for the intelligent telematics is required. This paper describes the structure and module control design of the intelligent telematics that recognizes driver's needs and pushes customized services to the driver at real-time.

A Study on the Utilization of Open Source Hardware Platform for Convergence IT Education

  • In this paper, we suggest a method utilizing OSHW(Open Source HardWare) in order to raise up students who are competent in IT convergence and integration as a basic research to improve the university software education. Software education cannot be too much emphasized in the age of big change of Fourth Industrial Revolution. It hardly seems to have changes in the software education area of university where has to train competent technicians to be deployed into the industrial field, although software education is planned even in elementary, middle, and high school. In this situation, we expect that utilizing OSHW in software education can result in gaining a meaningful effect. However, we don't have various and systemic approach which use it as a education system component, unlike the response and necessity OSHW market. Therefore in this paper we suggest models which constitute software education environment based on OSHW and exemplify how to use it in each model. In addition, we compare and analyze each model in order to give a criteria to choice one of them according to the condition.

Development of an Agricultural Data Middleware to Integrate Multiple Sensor Networks for an Farm Environment Monitoring System

  • Purpose: The objective of this study is to develop a data middleware for u-IT convergence in agricultural environment monitoring, which can support non-standard data interfaces and solve the compatibility problems of heterogenous sensor networks. Methods: Six factors with three different interfaces were chosen as target data among the environmental monitoring factors for crop cultivation. PostgresSQL and PostGIS were used for database and the data middleware was implemented by Python programming language. Based on hierarchical model design and key-value type table design, the data middleware was developed. For evaluation, 2,000 records of each data access interface were prepared. Results: Their execution times of File I/O interface, SQL interface and HTTP interface were 0.00951 s/record, 0.01967 s/record and 0.0401 s/record respectively. And there was no data loss. Conclusions: The data middleware integrated three heterogenous sensor networks with different data access interfaces.

  • In operating estimation system, the river and lake is almost simple monitoring system or independent monitoring system. But the present system has many weak points about the concurrent analysis ability of various information collection. Sensors generating the information is not accurate. Therefore, we have something that can be improved. Although we have the related facilities of the purification plant, forebays and sewage disposal plant, and suffer from the difficulty about lack of system of estimation, management and control. As a result of this paper, monitoring system can observe the water pollution and various water environment of whole country. Also, through the sensors of USN, Zigbee, RFID and middle ware, which can service and construct service platform, we present standard plan of remarkable scalability service platform.
