The Effect of NCS based Education Service Quality on Student's Loyalty to College and Self-confidence in Getting Job (NCS 기반 교육서비스품질이 대학생들의 학교충성도와 취업자신감에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out constitutions of education service quality in NCS based education and to investigate the effects on vocational key competence, loyalty to college and self-confidence in getting job of college students as important performance variables. The results of this study are as follows. In the NCS based education, five dimensions of education service quality were teaching-learning-lecture, reputation, education program, administrative service and facilities. It is analyzed that the teaching-learning-lecture and administrative service have a great influence on vocational key competence of students. In addition, education service quality and vocational key competence were analyzed as important factors for student's loyalty to college and self-confidence in getting job and proved to be important performance variables.

2006 Analysis of Education for Innovation of Regional Public Hospital Employees and Service Promotion (2006년 지역거점공공병원직원 혁신 및 서비스촉진 교육 효과 분석)

  • In recent years, many of medical institution have reinforced educations for their employees aiming to secure competitiveness and to achieve higher performances. In an effort to actively response to the fast changing environment in the medical industry, the Ministry of Health and Welfare has implemented "Innovation and Service promotion" educations for employees of 34 regional medical institutions and 6 Red Cross hospitals. In this regards, the effect of the educations to change employees' mind for innovation and services and its results need to be evaluated. This study conducted surveys asking participants of the 2006 Education for Innovation of Regional Public Hospital Employees and Service Promotion and synthetically analyzes the effect of the education on their mind for services compare to their mind before the education. As a result, more them 92% of participants say that they are satisfied with the education, and many more participants agreed the effect of the education to change their mind for services. Under this circumstance, after the educations participants change more positively on "their mind for innovative services" and "their service skills in practice".

  • It is true that the social welfare center influences on the community service. The recent change of social environment has influence on the configuration of space for the community social welfare center. The social welfare center fills the role of family welfare, domiciliary care, community welfare, education culture etc. Education culture magnified, and it is acting role as the community education culture center by various program including cultural desire according to the modern request to the whole local resident. In such sense, this study explore the conditions of spatial configuration for the education culture unit of social welfare center in small city. For this study, it was investigated the space role and service funtion, the service program, the usage characteristics, the service importance. In sum, the useful data were collected, analyzed, and colligated by case study. Case study and analysis contents about education culture unit of social welfare center present the basic design data for the space plan of suitable social welfare center in small city.

Analysis of Relationship between Academic Achievement and Job Satisfaction of Secondary NCS Vocational Education (중등 NCS 직업교육의 학업성취도와 취업만족도 관계 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between academic achievement and job satisfaction in secondary NCS vocational education. The questionnaires were divided into 5 variables : NCS education understanding, quality of education service, necessity of vocational education, academic achievement, job satisfaction. We used SPSS WIN 18.0, to examine the importance, reliability, validity, and association analysis using questionnaires. The results showed that the quality of education service and the necessity of vocational education were influenced on academic achievement in independent variables. But understanding of NCS education was not adopted. In the parameters and dependent variables, academic achievement was found to affect job satisfaction. So if educational institutions are to pay attention to and improve the quality of vocational education service and the need for vocational education, academic achievement will increase. Academic achievement is expected to positively affect job satisfaction after employment.

Analysis of Secondary Pre-service Science Teachers' Conceptions about Motion of Objects Based on the Viewpoints of Science History (예비 중등과학 교사들의 물체의 운동 개념의 과학사적 관점 분석)

  • In this study, various scientific viewpoints of 'motion of objects' were analyzed from the Aristoteles age to the Newton age. From the analysis, a questionnaire was developed which was including causes of motion, forms of motion, and preservation quantity of movement. The conceptions of pre-service science teachers were researched by the questionnaire developed in this study based on the science historical viewpoints. The subjects were twenty sophomore students of physic education major and thirty four of other science education major who majored common science education also in a college. Most of the pre-service teachers of physical education major had inertia and Newton's force conception related to the question situations of 'causes of motion' and 'forms of motion'. But a lot of the pre-service teachers of physic education major and other science education major had viewpoints of Descartes or Huygens related to the question situation of 'preservation quantity of movement'. Only few pre-service teachers regardless of major had Newton's viewpoint which represented in current Korean science curriculum for secondary school.

Using portfolio for professional development of pre-service mathematics teachers (중등수학 예비교사의 전문성 발달을 위한 포트폴리오 활용)

  • The purpose of this article is to suggest using portfolio for professional development of secondary pre-service mathematics teachers based on actual application case. To achieve this goal, 28 pre-service mathematics teachers developed their own portfolios in the regular study course for one semester under the pre-planned components of portfolio. Then they participated in the survey of their beliefs in mathematics and mathematics education and in the structured interview for drawing implications of using a pre-service mathematics teacher portfolio. According to the collected data, developing a pre-service mathematics teacher portfolio made a significant difference in beliefs of mathematics teachers' roles and showed the potential to improve the professional development of pre-service mathematics teachers as well as their learning. Continued investigation for more effective components of a pre-service mathematics teacher portfolio would be needed.

  • This study was to investigate what pre-service teachers pay attention to when designing science lessons. As a result of analyzing the responses of pre-service teachers, it is analyzed that pre-service teachers are designing science lessons with emphasis on science inquiry, considering students' interest, level, and treatment of misconceptions, and closely related to daily life. In particular, it was found that elementary school pre-service teachers made a lot of comments on science class design that emphasizes experimentation and inquiry, so it was found that emphasizing inquiry was recognized as an important point in science lesson design. It is very positive that pre-service teachers recognize important aspects of science education, such as emphasizing inquiry. In addition, it is suggested that the opportunities for class design and demonstration through collaboration with teachers and colleagues should be increased for pre-service teachers' professional development of teachers.

Analysis of Elementary Pre-service Teachers' Experiences and Understanding of Software Education (초등 예비교사의 소프트웨어 교육 관련 경험과 이해도 분석)

  • Because the success of SW education depends on teachers' competences and understanding, many universities of education are carrying out SW education for pre-service teachers. The purpose of this research is to analyze the current status of pre-service teachers' programming learning experiences and understanding of curriculum and educational effects related to SW education. The participants were 294 junior and senior students enrolled in a university of education. In relation to 'programming learning experiences', many responded positively in terms of interest, usefulness and willingness to learn. However, many were not satisfied with their programming experiences, felt difficulty in programming, and evaluated their programming abilities as low. For the 'understanding of SW education curriculum', many recognized the necessity of SW education and understood that the allocated time was insufficient. Both positive and negative opinions were reported concerning the fact that SW education is conducted in practical arts. In comparison, many did not understand well about the concept and characteristics of SW education and the details of the curriculum. In relation to the 'understanding of SW education effects', many understood positively about all the effects presented in the questionnaire including problem solving abilities and creativity. In addition, significant differences were found among pre-service teachers' major categories regarding the programming learning experiences and the understanding of SW education curriculum and effects. Based on the results of the research, suggestions were made for the improvement of the pre-service teachers' SW education program.

An Analysis on Gap of the Ability to Utilize Information Between In-service and Pre-service Teachers (현직교원과 예비교사간의 정보활용능력 격차 분석)

  • The ability to utilize information of learner can do self-directed learning that increases creativity of learner. But in the middle and high schools, if 2009 revision curriculum has to be enforce, the education of information knowledge and literacy is expected to leave the education undone at schools. Therefore the ability of leaners must develop through teaching in all subjects, and so the ability of teachers in the class is very important. We examined the actual conditions about the ability of pre-service and in-service teachers, and analyzed the gap of the ability between in-service and pre-service teachers. The indexes of total ability of in-service and pre-service teachers are shown to be 74.4 points and 50.5 points out of 100. The ability of pre-service teachers is on the level about 68-percent as compared with the ability of in-service teachers. Therefor the education offices of cities and provinces and the teacher training institutes must establish for improvement of the ability of pre-service teachers.

Robot-Assisted Learning in r-Learning (r-Learning에서의 로봇보조학습)

  • As the educational use of intelligent service robots has been proved to be effective, educational service robots have been utilized in kindergarten. In addition, service robots will be used in elementary schools from 2010 for the after-school English program. This trend indicates that r-Learning using service robots will become a major educational paradigm in preparing for future education. This article consists of the following four parts. First, the concept and the type of educational robots were defined and the trend of previous research was examined. Second, the characteristics of robot-assisted learning were analyzed as a part of r-Learning, and difference between r-Learning and u-Learning was compared. Third, the contents and service using a robot-assisted learning system were discussed, the models and trend of service using the robot-assisted learning system were examined, and the aspects of viewing evolution were compared. Finally, suggestions for activating the service market of robot-assisted learning were made for the educational institution, research institution, government and robot companies.
