  • In this paper, we propose time-optimal trajectory planning algorithms for cooperative multi-robot manipulators system considering optimal load distribution. Internal forces essentially effect on time optimal trajectory planning and if they are comitted, the time optimal scheme is not no longer true. Therefore, we try to find the internal force factors of cooperative robot manipulators system in a time-optimal aspect. In this approach, a specific generalized inverse is used and is fuzzified for the purpose. In this optimal method, the fuzzy logic concept is used and selected for diminishing computation time, for finding the load distribution factors.

  • In this tutorial the theoretical background of LQ optimal guidance is reviewed, starting from calculus of variations. LQ optimal control is then introduced and applied to missile guidance to obtain the basic form of LQ optimal guidance laws. Extension of LQ optimal guidance methodology for handling weighted cost function, dynamic lag associated with the missile dynamics and the autopilot, constrained impact angle, and constrained impact time is also described with a brief discussion on the asymptotic properties of the optimal guidance laws. Furthermore, an introduction to polynomial guidance and generalized impactangle-control guidance, which are closed related with LQ optimal guidance, is provided to demonstrate the current status of missile guidance techniques.

  • This paper presents a technique that can obtain an optimal solution for the Security-Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED) problems using the Interior Point Method (IPM) while taking into account of the power flow constraints. The SCED equations are formulated by using only the real power flow equations from the optimal power flow. Then an algorithm is presented that can linearize the SCED equations based on the relationships among generation real power outputs, loads, and transmission losses to obtain the optimal solutions by applying the linear programming (LP) technique. The objective function of the proposed linearization algorithm are formulated based on the fuel cost functions of the power plants. The power balance equations utilize the Incremental Transmission Loss Factor (ITLF) corresponding to the incremental generation outputs and the line constraints equations are linearized based on the Generalized Generation Distribution Factor (GGDF). Finally, the application of the Primal Interior Point Method (PIPM) for solving the optimization problem based on the proposed linearized objective function is presented. The results are compared with the Simplex Method and the promising results ard obtained.

  • This paper is concerned with the design of a predictive PID controller, which has similar features to the model-based predictive controller. A PID type control structure is defined which includes prediction of the outputs and the recalculation of new set points using the future set point data. The optimal values of the PID gains are pre-calculated using the values of gains calculated from an unconstrained generalized predictive control algorithm. Simulation studies demonstrate the performance of the proposed controller and the results are compared with generalized predictive controller and the results are compared with generalized predictive control solutions.

  • In this paper, with optimal normalized constants, the asymptotic expansions of the distribution and density of the normalized maxima from generalized Maxwell distribution are derived. For the distributional expansion, it shows that the convergence rate of the normalized maxima to the Gumbel extreme value distribution is proportional to 1/ log n. For the density expansion, on the one hand, the main result is applied to establish the convergence rate of the density of extreme to its limit. On the other hand, the main result is applied to obtain the asymptotic expansion of the moment of maximum.

  • This paper is concerned with suggesting a Bayesian method for variable selection in generalized logit model. It is based on Laplace-Metropolis algorithm intended to propose a simple method for estimating the marginal likelihood of the model. The algorithm then leads to a criterion for the selection of variables. The criterion is to find a subset of variables that maximizes the marginal likelihood of the model and it is seen to be a Bayes rule in a sense that it minimizes the risk of the variable selection under 0-1 loss function. Based upon two examples, the suggested method is illustrated and compared with existing frequentist methods.

  • This study was conducted to estimate the design flood by the determination of best fitting order of LH-moments of the annual maximum series at six and nine watersheds in Korea and Australia, respectively. Adequacy for flood flow data was confirmed by the tests of independence, homogeneity, and outliers. Gumbel (GUM), Generalized Extreme Value (GEV), Generalized Pareto (GPA), and Generalized Logistic (GLO) distributions were applied to get the best fitting frequency distribution for flood flow data. Theoretical bases of L, L1, L2, L3 and L4-moments were derived to estimate the parameters of 4 distributions. L, L1, L2, L3 and L4-moment ratio diagrams (LH-moments ratio diagram) were developed in this study.

  • 본 논문은 딥러닝을 위한분산학습에서학습속도를 저하시키는 stale 문제를 최소화하기 위한 방법으로 데이터 시퀀싱을 제안하였다. 이데이터 시퀀싱 문제는일반 납기를 갖는 단일 공정 하에서 일찍 혹은 늦음 정도의 총합을 최소화 하는 스케줄링 문제로 모델링할 수 있다. 만약 최적해에서 크기가 작은 작업과 큰 작업의 순서가 미리 알려져 있다면, 이 스케줄링 문제가 효율적으로 풀린다는 것을 보였다.

  • The multi-divisional knapsack problem is defined as a binary knapsack problem where each mutually exclusive division has its own capacity. In this paper, we present an extension of the multi-divisional knapsack problem that has generalized multiple-choice constraints. We explore the linear programming relaxation (P) of this extended problem and identify some properties of problem (P). Then, we develop a transformation which converts the problem (P) into an LP knapsack problem and derive the optimal solutions of problem (P) from those of the converted LP knapsack problem. The solution procedures have a worst case computational complexity of order $O(n^2{\log}\;n)$, where n is the total number of variables. We illustrate a numerical example and discuss some variations of problem (P).

  • A combined optimal design problem is discussed taking a 3-D truss structure as a design object. We use descriptor forms for a controlled object and a generalized plant because the structural parameters appear naturally in these forms. We consider not only the minimum weight design problem for the structure, but also the suppression problem of the effect of disturbances for the control system as the purpose of the design. A numerical example shows the validity of combined optimal design of the structure and control systems. We also consider the validity of the sensor-actuator collocation for the control system design in this paper.
