  • We establish coincidence point theorem for g-nondecreasing mappings satisfying generalized nonlinear contraction on partially ordered metric spaces. We also obtain the coupled coincidence point theorem for generalized compatible pair of mappings F, G : X2 → X by using obtained coincidence point results. Furthermore, an example is also given to demonstrate the degree of validity of our hypothesis. Our results generalize, modify, improve and sharpen several well-known results.

  • In this paper, we prove some coincidence point theorems involving ${\varphi}-contraction$ in ordered partial metric spaces. We also extend newly introduced notion of g-comparability of a pair of maps for linear contraction in ordered metric spaces to non-linear contraction in ordered partial metric spaces. Thus, our results extend, modify and generalize some recent well known coincidence point theorems of ordered metric spaces.

  • Necessary conditions for the existence of common fixed points for noncommuting mappings satisfying generalized contractive conditions in a Menger convex metric space are obtained. As an application, related results on best approximation are derived. Our results generalize various well known results.

  • Existence of common fixed points for generalized S-nonexpansive subcompatible mappings in convex metric spaces have been obtained. Invariant approximation results have also been derived by its application. These results extend and generalize various known results in the literature with the aid of more general class of noncommuting mappings.

  • In this paper, we prove some coupled fixed point theorems satisfying some generalized contractive condition in a cone metric space over a Banach algebra. We also applied the results obtained to show coupled fixed point of some contractive mapping of integral type.

  • In this paper, we define the concepts of commute proximally, dominate proximally, weakly dominate proximally, proximal generalized ${\varphi}$-contraction and common best proximity point in probabilistic Menger space. We prove some common best proximity point and common fixed point theorems for dominate proximally and weakly dominate proximally mappings in probabilistic Menger space under certain conditions. Finally we show that proximal generalized ${\varphi}$-contractions have best proximity point in probabilistic Menger space. Our results generalize many known results in metric space.

  • The aim of this research is to describe lacunary ∆m-statistically convergent sequences with respect to metrics on generalised metric spaces (g-metric spaces) and to look into the fundamental characteristics of this statistical form of convergence. Also, the relationship between strong summability and lacunary ∆m-statistical convergence in g-metric space is established at the end.

  • This paper deals with a general contraction. Two fixed-point theorems for a limit weak-compatible pair of a multi-valued map and a self map on a D-metric space have been established. These results improve significantly, the main results of Dhage, Jennifer and Kang [5] by reducing its assumption and generalizing its contraction simultaneously. At the same time some results of Singh, Jain and Jain [12] are generalized from a self map to a pair of a set-valued and a self map. Theorems of Veerapandi and Rao [16] get generalized and improved by these results. All the results of this paper are new.

  • In the first section of this paper two common fixed point results for four nonlinear mappings which are pairwise commuting and only two of them being continuous have been given on a complete metric space and on a compact metric space respectively which generalize the results of Mukherjee [2] and Yeh [4]. Further two common fixed point theorems have been established for two finite families of non linear mappings, with only one family being continuous. In another section we extend Theorem 3 and Theorem 4 of Mukherjee [2] for common fixed point of four continuous mappings on a Hausdorff space and on a compact metric space respectively. In the same spaces, these two results have been further generalized for two finite families of continuous mappings.
