Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effects of online game properties, social interaction, and player satisfaction on intention to online games in Chinese gamers. Research design, data, and methodology - This study is an empirical analysis assuming that properties of online games, social interaction and satisfaction will induce Chinese gamers' intention to play online games. We set the relationship between the six variables as follows. First, the properties of online games, exogenous variables, were identified by three factors: entertainment, security, participation and challenge. Second, we had input social interaction among gamers as another exogenous variables. Third, the gamer's satisfaction of online games was added to the research model as a mediating variable between exogenous variables and endogenous variables. Finally, gamer's intention to play influenced by satisfaction and social interaction was used as final endogenous variable. The data used for the empirical analysis were collected through questionnaires for Chinese under age 35 who enjoy the online games. The data used in the research were finally extracted from 195 questionnaires. The collected data were tested through the analysis of the measurement model (Step 1) and the analysis of the structural model (Step 2). The covariance structure equation model (SEM) was used for the analysis. The measurement model and structural model were evaluated by the maximum likelihood method. Results - The results of the empirical analysis are as follows. The satisfaction of online games were entertainment and security had a significant effect to satisfaction; but participation and challenge and social interaction had no significant effect on satisfaction. The social interaction among gamers and the satisfaction with online games have a significant influence on the intention to play online games. As a result, the attributes of the game were affecting the intention to play the game after satisfaction. Social interaction influenced the intention to play online games rather than satisfaction itself. Conclusions - This study provide some practical implications for the new companies who want to enter the online game industry and seek to competitiveness in China, and provide theoretical implications on the role of interaction among gamers in the study of online games.

According to KISA, many people play smartphone games. stress relieving, time is the reason to beat. Attempts to combine mobile games and education in the Korean game market are continuing. Studies have shown that using commercial games for education can be effective. Also, researches for activation educational games are increasing. Creating educational games requires a lot of time and money. Due to the nature of mobile games, the service is often terminated without updating. If you are able to acquire a naturally educational part while playing mobile games, you will see the effect of one pair of fun and education, both at once. We analyzed the education factors of the game with 'Real Farm' which is a simulation farm game. We focused on analyzing information acquisition and utilization part through indirect experience which is characteristic of simulation and examined educational factors based on design elements of educational game. This can signal the positive aspects of the game and the educational content of existing games. If you use smartphones as a pedagogy, you can expect a positive perception of games and an increase in the average life expectancy of mobile games.
Recently, game companies are having difficulties in exactly figuring out the right consumer groups for their games. To solve this problem, a system algorithm which recommends user-customized games based on the user information entered has been proposed in this study. Game developers will be able to clearly determine the consumer group(s) of both on and off-line games through accumulated data while consumers can find the game they desire. It is expected that the gaming culture will advance further with the proposed algorithm.
In this paper, we consider cooperative games arising from integer domination problem on graphs. We introduce two games, ${\kappa}-domination$ game and its monotonic relaxed game, and focus on their cores. We first give characterizations of the cores and the relationship between them. Furthermore, a common necessary and sufficient condition for the balancedness of both games is obtained by making use of the technique of linear programming and its duality.

Many authors studied cooperative games that arise from variants of dominating set games on graphs. In wireless networks, the connected dominating set is used to reduce routing table size and communication cost. In this paper, we introduce a connected dominating set game to model the cost allocation problem arising from a connected dominating set on a given graph and study its core. In addition, we give a polynomial time algorithm for determining the balancedness of the game on a tree, for finding a element of the core.
The purposes of this study are, firstly, to investigate the relationship between the online and mobile game players' psychological aspects (reference group, government regulation, game contents) and their game experience and overindulgence in games and, secondly, to suggest possible ways to reduce overindulgence in games. The implications of this research are as follows; Firstly, families and school authorities should strive to make sports and other pastime activities popular among peer groups rather than allowing online and video games to become only source of popularity among peer groups. Secondly, it is better for families members to establish a set of rules for controlling their children's time spent on online and mobile games rather than entirely forbidding the games. Family members should also strive to have more family conversations and to find a common source of interests. Thirdly, government should strive to develop policy responses to the overindulgence in games based on practical research and analysis. Fourthly, game makers should pay more attention to the components and expressions used in their games so as to draw game players' interests to the story and design of the games. Game makers also need to consider elements in their games that may potentially cause overindulgence in the development stage. Lastly, game players should strive to find new leisure activities besides online and mobile games that they can enjoy and have good experience with.
At the dawn of a new digital era, people's way of spending their leisure time and leisure activity preferences changed. Accordingly, Leisure culture is in the midst of change, such as watching movie and performance, enjoy golf etc. Due to its nature as an interactive medium, the digital game offers uniquely different approaches to the leisure activity. Leisure as state of mind is much more subjective in that it considers the individual's perception of an activity. In that regard, we used the digital games for leisure activity. Digital games are powerful environments for fun, including functional nature. For that reason digital leisure culture keep creative evolving. This paper proposes a serious games as a branch of digital games that meaningful digital leisure, and introduced the concept of serious games for a serious purpose other than pure entertainment. Many recent studies have identified the benefits of using serious games in a variety of purposes. Games technology is fun and entertaining for people of all ages. Ultimately, serious games become meaningful and valuable performance tools as the Digital Leisure Culture.
Computer games for elderly people can be utilized as a tool not only for enjoying themselves but also for improving their health and quality of lives. It is reported that such games could be played in order to stimulate and enhance mental and physical capabilities of elderly people. It is also reported that traditional folk games are preferred to be played by elderly people rather than modern computer games. In this paper, we propose to use a tabletop interface, u-Table, and its corresponding natural gestures as a user interface for playing traditional folk games by elderly people. Since a table is a good place for people to get together, talk to each other and share their experiences, a tabletop interface can be used for playing games of cooperation, conversation and sharing. A set of traditional folk games were digitalized using u-Table. It was demonstrated that its users had better experiences of playing games with u-Table comparing to playing games using a mouse of a conventional computer.

Today smart devices such as smart phones, smart pads and tablets have become necessities of modern people in both daily life and business as they have widely proliferated. One of the most popular application areas of smart devices is a game-related area. Among these applications social network games, played with other users through social networks, are ranked top in their popularity. Though much research of PC games and online games have been performed, little research of social network games and the factors affecting acceptance of social network games are not vigorous yet. Therefore, we aim to analyze the factors and their structural influence on acceptance of social network games. We add a couple of factors such as Social interaction, Mobility, Subjective Norm, and Flow reg arding the characteristics of social network games and analyze the structural relationships among these factors using Structural Equation Modeling. Analysis results and implications are suggested with concluding remarks.
Casual games are easy in terms of control and mode, and thus everyone can enjoy them in their free time. Character games, in particular, feature a variety of cute and attractive characters. Such character games are now available for smartphones, which are used by a large number of users, as well as for PCs. This paper is aimed at demonstrating the design of 2D side-scrolling casual shooting games utilizing Unity 3D Engine, which can be manipulated on smartphones. Unity 3D engine was used because it supports multi-platform with low costs, and it makes it possibile for games to be operated on various platforms using a single program source code. This approach is unique because the design of the games uses cute characters, attractive concepts and easy control, targeting users in their 10s or 20s, unlike existing shooting games that are serious.
