FIXED POINTS OF GENERALIZED KANNAN TYPE MAPPINGS IN GENERALIZED MENGER SPACES

  • Generalized Menger space introduced by the present authors is a generalization of Menger space as well as a probabilistic generalization of generalized metric space introduced by Branciari [Publ. Math. Debrecen 57 (2000), no. 1-2, 31-37]. In this paper we prove a Kannan type fixed point theorem in generalized Menger spaces. We also support our result by an example.

  • The existence, uniqueness and iterative approximations of fixed points for some contractive mappings of integral type defined in complete metric spaces with w-distance are proved. Four examples are given to demonstrate that the results in this paper extend and improve some well-known results in the literature.

  • In this manuscript, a new multi-valued contraction is defined from a combination of Jaggi-type hybrid contraction and Suzuku-type hybrid contraction. Conditions for the existence of fixed points for such contractions in metric space are investigated. Moreover, some consequences are highlighted and discussed to indicate the significance of our proposed ideas. An example is given to support the assumptions of our theorems.

  • In this paper, we generalize the notion of comparable set-valued mappings by introducing two types of 𝓡-closed set-valued mappings and utilize these to obtain an analogue of celebrated Mizoguchi and Takahashi fixed point theorem in relational metric spaces. To annotate the claims and usefulness of such findings, we prove fixed point results for both set-valued and single-valued mappings and validate the assertions with the help of examples. In this way, these investigations extend, modify and generalize some prominent recent fixed point results obtained by Tiammee and Suantai [24], Amini-Harandi and Emami [4], Prasad and Dimri [19] and several others in the settings of relational metric spaces.

  • In this paper, a second-order system of multi-point boundary value problems in Banach spaces is investigated. Based on a specially constructed cone and the fixed point theorem of strict-set-contraction operators, the criterion of the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions are established. And two examples demonstrating the theoretic results are given.

  • In this note we use a generalization of coincidence point(a property which was defined by [1] in symmetric spaces) to prove common fixed point theorem on S-metric spaces for weakly compatible maps. Also the results are used to achieve the solution of an integral equation and the bounded solution of a functional equation in dynamic programming.

  • In this work, we explore the existence and uniqueness results for a class of boundary value issues for implicit Volterra-Fredholm nonlinear integro-differential equations (IDEs) with Atangana-Baleanu-Riemann fractional (ABR-fractional) that have non-instantaneous multi-point fractional boundary conditions. The findings are supported by Krasnoselskii's fixed point theorem, Gronwall-Bellman inequality, and the Banach contraction principle. Finally, a demonstrative example is provided to support our key findings.

  • A metrical common fixed point theorem proved for a pair of self mappings due to Sastry and Murthy ([16]) is extended to symmetric spaces which in turn unifies certain fixed point theorems due to Pant ([13]) and Cho et al. ([4]) besides deriving some related results. Some illustrative examples to highlight the realized improvements are also furnished.
