This paper is a study of culture and identity expressed in textile art works of the age of globalization, centering on the Beijing International Fiber Art Biennale. This study began with the idea that globalism would develop regional cultural diversity as well as contribute to the field of art. In 2000, the Beijing International Fiber Art Biennale held its first large exhibition, and a total of 10 biennales were held from then until 2018. Get an understanding of the Beijing International fiber art Biennale, and select award-winning works from one to ten times to learn about cultural characteristics and identity. The analysis was based on the works of awards from China and Japan, including Korea, which are the center of East Asian culture. The Beijing International Fiber Art Biennale has steadily increased the number of participating countries, writers and works, and once again opened the stage for the revival of textile art following the Lausanne International Tapestry Biennale. Through the Beijing International Fiber Art Biennale, textile artists hope to promote world harmony in textile art, respect cultural diversity and conduct equal dialogue between East and West cultures.

The creative energy of the Korean women who pursued spiritual artistic practices under the limited situation of male-dominated confucian society in the Chosun Dynasty(AD 1392 - AD 1910) constituted the background for the development of Gubang Craft. Gubang Craft represented their artistic abilities, moral and family values, and the pursuit of self-esteem. Especially embroidery successfully showed four main elements of Gubang Craft such as embellishment, diversity, femininity, and craftsmanship. This paper is designed to explore how the traditional elements of embroidery works are restored and have influence on the modern Korean fiber art.

새로운 재료의 연구는 20세기 초 부터 현대미술의 여러 분야에서 꾸준히 계속되어 왔으며 현대미술의 발전에 지대한 공헌을 하였다. 재료에 대한 도전적이리만큼 새롭고 끈질긴 탐구를 계속하고 있는 섬유미술에서도 전통적 재료가 아닌 산업용 재료의 사용은 이런 의미로 주목된다. 산업용 재료는 우리가 살고 있는 테크놀로지 세계를 대변해 주고 있으며 우리로 하여금 이 시대의 시대적 배경과 사회적 배경을 토대로 한 예술관을 형성하도록 도와주고 있다. 섬유미술에 사용된 산업용 재료는 미술 재료로서의 미적 가치와 함께 이들이 제시하는 새로운 사상과 가능성을 통해 섬유미술의 표현 방식과 추구 방식의 다양화에 직접적으로 관계되었다. 산업용 재료의 사용은 섬유미술이 전통적으로 중요시하여 온 직조의 테크닉 추구에 대한 관심에서 재질감의 개념을 중심으로 발전하게 하였으며, 섬유미술의 표현 방식이 보다 입체적, 공간적, 환경 적으로 확대되는 데 기여하였다. 섬유미술은 이제 테크닉의 한계에서 벗어나 작가의 이념이나 사회의식의 반영, 새로운 재료에로의 추구 등 다양한 방향으로 발전하고 있으며 이는 현대미술에서 나타나는 전반적 경향과 그 맥을 같이 하고 있다.

Genres of the modern arts are expanding the overlapping area between the arts ; ceramics and weaving considered as crafts are devel-oped to the ceramic art and the fiber art, re-spectively. This trend has been also applied to the clothing part, which produced several new terms such as‘art to wear’,‘unwearable art’,‘clothing sculpture’and so on. As following this tendency, the unwearable art is dwelling on the boundary of painting, fiber art and scul-pture, and the clothing sculpture comes from the combination of fiber art and sculpture. While Issey Miyake's dress made of bamboo and Foltuny's pleats dress associated with Greek stone-column introduce the sculpture to the functional fashion design, the works of clothing sculpture become the arts by applying the sculpture to the non-functional unwearable art. Although the clothing sculpture is an interesting subject to be studied continuously for its effect on the contemporary clothing part, it is valuable enough as an unwearable art and sculpture respresenting the artist's concept under the circumstance that the boundary between arts and design is no longer clear, i.e., the clothing and the sculpture come across their regions each other. Furthermore, the clothing sculpture has its own value as a metapor exposing idea, feeling and spirit of the artist in the genre of the unwearable art. With a view point of the abstract clothing concept, the clothing sculpture has been taking the role expanding the clothing to the world of fine art.

Pipelines play an important role in urban water supply and drainage, oil and gas transmission, etc. This paper presents a technique for pattern recognition of fiber optic vibration signals collected by a distributed vibration sensing (DVS) system using a deep learning residual network (ResNet). The optical fiber is laid on the pipeline, and the signal is collected by the DVS system and converted into a 64 × 64 single-channel grayscale image. The grayscale image is input into the ResNet to extract features, and finally the K-nearest-neighbors (KNN) algorithm is used to achieve the classification and recognition of pipeline damage.

The art museum plays a role as a cultural space that can solve the cultural desire of people and see a good art works. It is in exhibition space that they personally exchange the feeling between an art work and a viewer in art museum. The types and works - a fiber, a photo, an establishment that needs many places, devices, a video art, and an action art called "performance", cultural art - are shown in small art museum. Moreover, exhibition spaces are modified into the space of another art activities like dancing, music concerts in small art museum because it has no profit space for diverse art activities. And the exhibition the characters of the exhibition space in small art museum. So, it needs to change the characters of the exhibition space in small art museum. Under these background, this stud\ulcorner surveys and analyzes the exhibits, the organization methods, the modified conditions, and the scale of the existing exhibitional space in small art museum. Therefore, the goal of this study is to suggest the composition of the exhibition space unit considering the function and the multifunction in minimum art museum and small art museum.

Body has been high-lightened as one of the most important theme since the philosophy and the arts are focused on it in the late 20 century. Resurgence of interests in human body has been based on the skepticism on rapid digitalization and do-materialization currently undergoing in electronic media environments. Artists have been endeavoring more and more to find a synthesis which links the conceptual and the sensuous in their works as digitalization gets faster and faster. The Bodily-oriented art uses its visceral qualities, either literally or metaphorically, to engage our total being, not just our mental consciousness, in building a sensuous, evocative statement. Its transcendent ideas are inter- mixed with the fabric of the world. We are touched by this art not only because we understand it cognitively, but because we "feel"it. These characteristics of textile arts caused gradual increase of soft-sculpture works using textiles and implies possibilities of inter-grade of physical and mental world. Ann Hamilton, Magdalena Abakanowiz, Folly Apfelbaum and Pallid Dougherty are, for example, related to the fiber arts. It would be of worth to study the characteristics of contemporary faber-art works, especially done by Abakanowiz who has been regarded as a dominant pioneer in the contemporary fiber arts from the viewpoint of inter-grade of the physicals and the mental. This paper, therefore, deals with the Abaknowiz′works in the context of human body and body-signs. Life and works might be classified into 5 stages; first, learning period since her birth in 1930, second, creation period of Abakan, third, remodelling period of Abakan, fourth, composition and dissolution period of Abakan and the last and fifth, new transformation period of Abakan. ′Abakan′through her whole life as an artist has been a plastic language and based ultimately on external human body but in various materials and forms.

A high sensitivity fiber optic temperature sensor based on a side-polished fiber (SPF) coupled to a tapered multimode overlay waveguide (MMOW) is proposed and studied. Both tapered and non-tapered MMOW were considered to study the effect of tapering of MMOW on the characteristics of the device and to investigate the criticality of the uniformity of the multimode overlay waveguide over the SPF. Present study shows that tapering of the MMOW can be used to tune the desired wavelength range without any loss in the sensitivity. Sensitivity up to 9 nm/$^{\circ}C$ within the temperature range of 25 to $100^{\circ}C$ can be achieved with the proposed sensor, almost 6 times higher compared even to state-of-the-art high-sensitivity grating-based fiber optic temperature sensors.

This study proposed 'Body Food,' an interactive tactile mat that provides interactive visual responses and induces physical activity in young children at the time of developing tactile and five senses, along with the touch of various stimuli. The product combines fiber materials and digital content to achieve a variety of visual and auditory responses in real time when children touch the fabric. User tests were conducted for 4-year-olds and the result was positive in terms of physical exercise and artistic experience, but quantitative testing is required to generalize it. In the future, we will complement physical and digital contents to realize more complete product.

Oxydoreductase enzymes such as laccases (benzenediol： oxygen oxidoreductase, EC 1.10.3.2) and horseradish peroxidase (donor： hydrogen peroxide oxidoreductase, HRP, EC 1.11.1.7) can provide novel ways for wool coloration in the face of actual state of the art of these enzymes. HRP has been reported as a very useful enzyme for the synthesis of phenolic polymers2). (omitted)
