  • Giuliano Antonini et al.(2008) have introduced the concept of extended acceptability and the results show that the extended acceptability structure has no effect on the exponential inequality except replacing a constant M = 1 with a constant M > 0. We discuss the complete convergence for extended acceptable random variables by using the exponential inequality.

  • Let G be a commutative group which is 2-divisible, $\mathbb{R}$ the set of real numbers and $f,g:G{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}$. In this article, we investigate bounded solutions of the Pexider-exponential functional inequality ${\mid}f(x+y)-f(x)g(y){\mid}{\leq}{\epsilon}$ for all $x,y{\in}G$.

  • We show an exponential inequality for negatively associated and strictly stationary random variables replacing an uniform boundedness assumption by the existence of Laplace transforms. To obtain this result we use a truncation technique together with a block decomposition of the sums. We also identify a convergence rate for the strong law of large number.

  • This paper investigates mean square exponential dissipativity of singularly perturbed stochastic delay differential equations. The L-operator delay differential inequality and stochastic analysis technique are used to establish sufficient conditions ensuring the mean square exponential dissipativity of singularly perturbed stochastic delay differential equations for sufficiently small ${\varepsilon}$ > 0. An example is presented to illustrate the efficiency of the obtained results.

  • Let f(z) be an entire function of exponential type τ such that ║f║ = 1. Also suppose, in addition, that f(z) ≠ 0 for ℑz > 0 and that $h_f(\frac{\pi}{2})=0$. Then, it was proved by Gardner and Govil [Proc. Amer. Math. Soc., 123(1995), 2757-2761] that for y = ℑz ≤ 0 $${\parallel}D_{\zeta}[f]{\parallel}{\leq}\frac{\tau}{2}({\mid}{\zeta}{\mid}+1)$$, where Dζ[f] is referred to as polar derivative of entire function f(z) with respect to ζ. In this paper, we prove an inequality in the opposite direction and thereby obtain some known inequalities concerning polynomials and entire functions of exponential type.

  • In this paper, a Berstein-Hoeffding type inequality is established for linearly negative quadrant dependent random variables. A condition is given for almost sure convergence and the associated rate of convergence is specified.

  • In this paper, we report a new sharp inequality of interpolation type in $\mathbb{R}^n$. This inequality is for controlling weighted average of a function via $L^n$ norm of the gradient of a function together with its' certain exponential norm.

  • By using the Lyapunov functional method, stochastic analysis, and LMI (linear matrix inequality) approach, the mean square exponential stability of an equilibrium solution of uncertain stochastic Hopfield neural networks with delayed is presented. The proposed result generalizes and improves previous work. An illustrative example is also given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed result.

  • With the introduction of a new parameter $n{\geq}1$, Kim generalized an upper bound for the exponential function that implies the inequality between the arithmetic and geometric means. By a change of variable, this generalization is equivalent to exp $(\frac{n(x-1)}{n+x-1})\;\leq\;\frac{n-1+x^n}{n}$ for real ${n}\;{\geq}\;1$ and x > 0. In this paper, we show that this inequality is true for real x > 1 - n provided that n is an even integer.
