톤간섭 및 다중간섭하에서 제반 디지탈 변조신호의 오율특성 비교 (A Comparison of the Error Rate Performances of Various Digitally Modulated Signals in the Environment of Tone/Multiple Interferer)

  • The error rate equations of digitally modulated signals transmitted through the Gaussian noise and tone multiple interference channel have been derived. Using the derived equations of error probabilities in the environments of Gaussian noise tone interferer and Gaussian noise multiple interferer, the error rate performances of various digitally modulated signals have been evaluated, and compared in graphs as a function of average carrier to tone interferer power ratio(CIR), average carrier to multiple interferer power ratio(CIT) and the average carrer-to-Gaussian noise powr ratio(CIR). In this paper, the modulation schemes such as amplitude shift keying (ASK), phase shift keying(PSK), frequency shift keying(FSK), minimum shift keying(MSK), quadrature amplitud modulation(QAM) and amplitude phase shift keying(APK) have been selected for the study of performance comparison. The results of comparison show us that, in low bits/sec/Hz, PSK is superior to the other schemes, but in high bits/sec/Hz, mixed multi ary type is better than single multi ary type. And in strong noise evironment, the multiple interferer has much influence than tone interferer, however, in low noise environment. the mojor error factor is tone interferer. But tone interference effect nearly disappears over specified CIR level about 20[dB]. And the modulation schemes using amplitude are heavily influenced by multiple interference.

Optimal Solution of Classification (Prediction) Problem

  • Classification or prediction problem is how to solve it using a specific feature to obtain the predicted class. A wheat seeds specifications 4 3 classes of seeds will be used in a prediction process. A multi linear regression will be built, and a prediction error ratio will be calculated. To enhance the prediction ratio an ANN model will be built and trained. The obtained results will be examined to show how to make a prediction tool capable to compute a predicted class number very close to the target class number.

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 홀로그래픽 데이터 저장 시스템에서 2차원 데이터의 저장과 복원 동안에 발생되는 상호 픽셀에 의한 간섭(intersymbol interference:ISI)을 완화하고 bit-error-rate(BER) 성능개선을 위해 1차원 및 2차원 최소 평균-제곱-에러 (minimum mean-squared-error:MMSE) 등화(equalization)를 적용하였다. 홀로그래픽 저장 시스템으로부터 복원된 10개의 페이지에 대해서 등화 수행전보다 1차원 및 2차원 MMSE등화 적용 후, BER과 signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)이 향상됨을 보였다.

  • ANOVA is widely, used for measurement system analysis. It assumes that the measurement error is normally distributed, which nay not be seen in some industrial cases. In this study the estimates of the measurement system variability and PTR (precision-to-tolerance ratio) are obtained by using weighted standard deviation for the case where the measurement error is non-normally distributed. The Standard Bootstrap method is used foy estimating confidence intervals of measurement system variability and PTR. The point and confidence interval estimates for the cases with normally distributed measurement error are compared to those with non-normally distributed measurement errors through computer simulation.

고령의 연령에서 굴절이상과 안광학 성분들의 연관성 분석 (The Correlation of Refractive Error and Ocular Dimensions in Older Age)

  • 목적: 본 연구는 고령의 성인을 대상으로 굴절이상과 안광학 성분들 사이의 연관성을 알아보고자 하였다. 방법: 안과적 수술을 받지 않은 고령의 95명을 대상으로 굴절이상과 각막곡률반경, 각막굴절력, 안축장, 전방깊이, 수정체 두께를 측정하고 분석하였다. 결과: 안축장(AL)/각막곡률반경(CR) 비와 각막굴절력, 안축장, 전방깊이는 양의 상관관계를 보였고(r=0.510, r=0.439 r=0.411), AL/CR 비와 각막곡률반경과는 음의 상관관계를 나타냈다(r = -0.516). 각 막굴절력과 안축장 사이에서 가장 높은 연관성(r = -0.545, p=0.000)을 보였으며 굴절이상과 AL/CR 비는 음의 상관관계로 분석되었다(r = -0.359). 결론: 눈의 굴절이상을 진단하는데 AL/CR 비가 고령의 성인에서 중요한 지표자료임을 알 수 있었다.

  • The simplest bit error detection scheme is to append a parity bit to the end of a bit sequence. In this paper an error correction technique with the use of a parity bit is proposed, and the performance of the proposed system is analyzed. The error probability of the proposed system is compared with the output of computer simulation of the proposed system. It is also compared with the error probability of error at BPSK system, and the signal-to-noise ratio gain is showed.

베이지안 확률기법을 이용한 당량비 오차분석에 관한 연구 (Error Analysis of Equivalence Ratio using Bayesian Statistics)

  • 엔진 당량비의 제어오차가 요구범위를 불만족할 확률을 분석하였다. 당량비의 제어오차는 무작위 불확실요소와 인식론적 불확실요소로부터 동시에 영향을 받는다. 무작위 불확실요소는 일반적으로 확률 분포가 주어지므로 민감도 기반의 신뢰성 해석기법을 이용해 쉽게 해석이 가능하다. 확률분포를 알기 어려운 인식론적 불확실요소를 다루기 위해서는 새로운 접근법이 필요하다. 무작위 불확실요소에 대한 신뢰성 해석결과를 베이지안 추론에 이용함으로서 엔진 당량비의 제어오차가 요구범위를 불만족할 확률에 대한 확률분포를 구할 수 있었다. 이러한 접근은 무작위 불확실요소와 인식론적 불확실 요소가 동시에 존재하는 공학시스템 해석에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.

Nuclide composition non-uniformity in used nuclear fuel for considerations in pyroprocessing safeguards

  • An analysis of a pyroprocessing safeguards methodology employing the Pu-to-$^{244}Cm$ ratio is presented. The analysis includes characterization of representative used nuclear fuel assemblies with respect to computed nuclide composition. The nuclide composition data computationally generated is appropriately reformatted to correspond with the material conditions after each step in the head-end stage of pyroprocessing. Uncertainty in the Pu-to-$^{244}Cm$ ratio is evaluated using the Geary-Hinkley transformation method. This is because the Pu-to-$^{244}Cm$ ratio is a Cauchy distribution since it is the ratio of two normally distributed random variables. The calculated uncertainty of the Pu-to-$^{244}Cm$ ratio is propagated through the mass flow stream in the pyroprocessing steps. Finally, the probability of Type-I error for the plutonium Material Unaccounted For (MUF) is evaluated by the hypothesis testing method as a function of the sizes of powder particles and granules, which are dominant parameters to determine the sample size. The results show the probability of Type-I error is occasionally greater than 5%. However, increasing granule sample sizes could surmount the weakness of material accounting because of the non-uniformity of nuclide composition.

연직배수재(VDs)에 의한 오염지반정화 메커니즘 연구 (Mechanism of Soil Remediation in Contaminated Area Using Vertical Drains)

  • In-situ soil remediation mechanism through the vertical drains (VDs) is analyzed with numerical model as the error and complementary error function. Results from in-situ test and analysis indicate that the contaminant concentration ratio as initial one ( C/$C_0$) increases as the radius ratio ( r/R) increases from the injection well, and also increases as the depth ratio ( z/ H) increases from the top of contaminated area. The elapse time needed to attain $50\%$ and $90\%$ clean up level ($ t_{50},\;t_{90}$) increases as the radius ratio ( r/R) and the depth ratio ( z/ H) increase. As above results, the procedure of soil flushing in contaminated area using vertical drains makes progress from the top of injection well to the bottom of extraction well.

Location Error Analysis of an Active RFID-Based RTLS in Multipath and AWGN Environments

  • In this paper, we analyze the location accuracy of real-time locating systems (RTLSs) in multipath environments in which the RTLSs comply with the ISO/IEC 24730-2 international standard. To analyze the location error of RTLS in multipath environments, we consider a direct path and indirect path, in which time and phase are delayed, and also white Gaussian noise is added. The location error depends strongly on both the noise level and phase difference under a low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) regime, but only on the noise level under a high SNR regime. The phase difference effect can be minimized by matching it to the time delay difference at a ratio of 180 degrees per 1 chip time delay (Tc). At a relatively high SNR of 10 dB, a location error of less than 3 m is expected at any phase and time delay value of an indirect signal. At a low SNR regime, the location error range increases to 8.1 m at a 0.5 Tc, and to 7.3 m at a 1.5 Tc. However, if the correlation energy is accumulated for an 8-bit period, the location error can be reduced to 3.9 m and 2.5 m, respectively.
