  • This paper is a research of job search plan of polytech college based on SEM. We did a through research of factors on the motivation of job seeking and those of job search scheme which are independent variables. We also verified the effects of factors of stable job composition, job seeking surroundings and job selection which are dependent variables. Hence we conducted a survey among polytech college students, studying relationship between factors of dependent variable and independent one. We also analyzed whether motivation of career seeking affects job search plot by utilizing SEM based on AMOS 5.0. The consequence of the research is that stable job and job selection factor were rejected, for they do not highly affect motivation of job seeking. And the factors of job seeking environment (establishment of collaboration between businesses and colleges, hands-on guidance at workplace and the guidance for enhancement of vocational capability), which are dependent variables, were chosen because they are the affirmative factors of motivation of job seeking. After all, they are the crucial factors of job search plan.

Methods: This study adopted van Manen's hermeneutic phenomenological method to qualitatively analyze data. The participants were 8 married North Korean women defectors. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations from July 4 to August 20, 2018. Results: Nine essential themes emerged: more personal challenges after overcoming a life-threatening crisis; hopes of firmly settling in this land; the wound from the north, which chased them here; a body that becomes stronger through hardship; being stuck in a past full of anxiety and pain; the present is full of hope; hope for the future; sense of alienation from coworkers that cannot be overcome; and sense of power to endure an exhausting work life. Conclusion: This study provided a broader understanding of the life and experiences of married women from North Korea. It highlights the need for nurses to recognize their importance in nursing care. The study also suggests that academic and practical approaches for nursing, and basic data for a nursing intervention for married women from North Korea be provided. The study findings can be used as a basis for preparing a national policy that will help North Korean defectors to find employment and gain stability.

  • This study aims to examine the mediating effect of job satisfaction on the relationship between working conditions, including wages, employment status, working hours, tenure, and turnover intention among social welfare workers. To achieve this, path analysis was conducted using SPSS and AMOS with data from the 2020 Survey on Compensation Levels and Working Conditions of Social Welfare Facility Workers conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs. The direct and indirect effects of variables were verified and compared. The analysis results revealed that job satisfaction among social welfare workers showed a complete mediating effect in the relationship between wages, working hours, and turnover intention, while it showed a partial mediating effect in the relationship between employment status, tenure, and turnover intention. Based on these findings, the study proposes measures to reduce turnover intention among social welfare workers, such as ensuring employment stability, managing job satisfaction based on tenure, and enhancing job satisfaction through wage and working hour management.

Using the panel data of Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey(GOMS) by the Korea Employment Information Service, this study attempts to examine changes in job satisfaction(overall score and 10 facet scores) associated with four types(retention at non-profits, turnover from non-profits to for-profits, turnover from for-profits to non-profits, and retention at for-profits) of cross-sector job mobility among college graduates by employing a first difference model. Major results reveal that (1) in the group of retention at non-profits, 'overall job satisfaction' is consistently higher; (2) in the group of retention at non-profits, negative change in 'overall job satisfaction' is the largest; (3) in the group of 'for-profits to non-profits,' negative change in 'stability of employment' is the smallest; (3) in the group of 'non-profits to for-profits,' negative change in 'job contents' is the smallest; (4) in the group of 'non-profits to for-profits,' negative change in 'weekly work hours' is the largest; (5) in the group of retention at non-profits, negative change in 'potential growth & development' is the largest; and (6) in the group of retention at non-profits, negative change in 'social reputation' is the smallest;. This study has made a start in a new area of inquiring attempting to explain cross-sector job mobility and raises implications for future research.
