  • In this paper, we propose an Aggregate Fairness Maker (ARM) required for an Edge router to improve fairness of throughput among the flows of Assured Service in DiffServ with different round trip time (RTT) and we propose a user flow Three Color Marker (uf-TCM) as a flow marker that marks packets from the flow as green, yellow, or red. A yellow packet is the packet that consumes loss token in uf-TCM as well as that is demoted green packet in AM due to disobey the aggregate traffic profile. The proposed AFH promotes yellow packet to green packet or demotes green packet to yellow packet through the fair method without per-flow management, and it improves the feirness of throughput among the flows as well as link utilization. A yellow packet and a red packet have the same drop precedence at Core Router in our scheme. So we can use the RIO buffer management scheme. We evaluated the performance of our proposed AFM and the REDP Marker that was proposed to improve fairness without per-flow management. Simulation results show that, compared with the REDP marker, proposed AFM can improve performance of throughput fairness among the flows with different RTT and link utilization under the over-provisioning, exact-provisioning, and under-provisioning network environments at Multiple DiffServ domains as well as at Single DiffServ domain.

  • This paper aims to understand the conceptual definition and the characteristics of reality shock in new graduate nurses. We analyzed the data using the hybrid model, initially introduced by Schwartz-Barcott and Kim. The data used in this study were collected from six recently graduated nurses who work in S-si and G-si. Another part of the data was obtained from literature review regarding Reality Shock. We categorized Reality Shocks in recently graduated nurses into nine attributes within a three-dimension model. The dimensions include "cognitive", "emotional", and "situational" domains. The cognitive domain is to be aware of the factor that causes Reality Shock. The emotional domain is the negative emotional responses that appear when facing a situation causing Reality Shock. The situational domain is the sort of circumstantial situations that cause Reality Shock. Reality Shock is defined as recently graduated nurses having several negative emotions, such as powerlessness, difficulty in peer relationships, confusion, and pressure due to (i) the differences between reality of nursing and what they have learned in school, (ii) the differences between an ideal situation and the real situation, (iii) the lack of expertise of senior nurses, (iv) a situation without the respect from colleagues, and (v) the overloaded role compare with the expectations. In conclusion, we provide a guideline for establishing a strategy to reduce Reality Shock in recently graduated nurses by identifying the concept of Reality Shock.

  • In the fourth industrial revolution, customization is becoming a conversation topic in various domains. Industry 4.0 applies cyber-physical systems (CPS), the Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing to manufacturing businesses. One of the main phrases in Industry 4.0 is mass customization. Optimized products or services are developed and provided through customization. Therefore, the competitiveness of a product can be enhanced, and satisfaction is improved. In particular, as IoT technology spreads, customization is an essential aspect of smooth service connections between various devices or things. Customized services in mobile applications are assembled and operate in various mobile devices in the mobile environment. Therefore, this paper proposes a method for improving customized cloud server-based mobile architectures, processes, and metrics, and for measuring the performance improvement of the customized architectures operating in various mobile devices based on the Android or IOS platforms. We reduce the total time required for customization in half as a result of applying the proposed customized architectures, processes, and metrics in various devices.

  • This study, a non-equal prior and post quasi-experimental research on a control group, investigates the nursing students' change of perception on the meaning of life, death, well-dying and hospice in order to elucidate its effect. The study subjects were 38 students registered in the Department of Nursing Science in C University located in A city as the experimental group and another 36 students registered in the Department of Nursing Science in P University in P city as the control group. Death preparation education was conducted from February 29 through April 20, 2016. A 90-minute session was conducted each week for eight weeks and the data were analyzed by $x^2-test$ and t-test. In line with four domains of death education, i.e., cognition, emotion, practice and value, death preparation education was composed by imparting meaning to life and focusing on the perception on death, well-dying and hospice. From the study results, death preparation education enhanced nursing students' perception on the meaning of life, well-dying and hospice, and hence helped nursing students grant meaning to their lives and establish right values of life. Thus, it acted as a driving force for nursing students to live positive lives and is expected to be utilized as useful education which cultivates right perception on well-dying and hospice. However, in the absence of any significant difference in perception of death, repeated follow-up studies are required to verify the effect on the perception on death and the change in the perception of well-dying depending on the period of application.

  • Service-Oriented Computing (SOC) is a reuse paradigm for developing business processes by dynamic service composition. Service consumers subscribe services deployed by service providers only through service interfaces. Therefore, services on server-side are perceived as black box to service consumers. Due to this nature of services, service consumers have limited knowledge on the quality of services. This limits utilizing of services in critical domains hard. Therefore, there is an increasing demand for effective methods for monitoring services. Current monitoring techniques generally depend on specific vendor's middleware without direct access to services due to the technical hardship of monitoring. However, these approaches have limitations including low data comprehensibility and data accuracy. And, this results in a demand for effective service monitoring framework. In this paper, we propose a framework for efficiently monitoring services. We first define requirements for designing monitoring framework. Based on the requirements, we propose architecture for monitoring framework and define generic patterns for efficiently acquiring monitored data from services. We present the detailed design of monitoring framework and its implementation. We finally implement a prototype of the monitor, and present the functionality of the framework as well as the results of experiments to verify efficiency of patterns for transmitting monitoring data.

  • We have studied orientational characteristics of microcracks in Mesozoic granites and granitic dyke rocks from Seokmo-do, Ganghwa-gun. Microcracks on horizontal surfaces of rock samples from 14 sites were investigated by image processing. Orientations of these microcracks compared with those of 18 sets of joints in Mesozoic granites from Seokmo-do. From the related chart, microcrack sets show strong preferred orientations which obviously are coincident with the direction of vertical common joints. It follows that the formation of macroscopic joints may be the results of further growth and step-wise jointing of pre-existing microcracks. Orientations of microcracks from this result also compared with those of vertical rift and grain planes for Jurassic and Cretaceous granite quarries in Korea. As shown in the distribution chart, the congruence of distribution pattern among microcracks and rift and grain planes suggests that similar microcrack systems probably occur regionally in Jurassic and Cretaceous granites from Korea. In particular, whole domain of the distribution chart was divided into 16 groups in terms of the phases of distribution of microcracks and planes. These microcrack sets in each domains construct complex composite microcrack systems which have formed progressively by different geologic processes and under varying conditions.

  • Mobile Collaboration is an enabling technology that makes users share information between mobile devices and various Mobile P2P platforms have been designed and implemented for it. There are, however, few research papers on application of SIP protocol to spatial data sharing on mobile devices. In this paper, SIP based real time sharing framework is proposed to compose a mobile P2P platform on which spatial data can be trans(erred. A new protocol based on WKT and WKB is defined to send and receive spatial objects with SIP MESSAGE method. Base maps such as digital maps and parcel maps can be provided by a map server that is integrated with SIP server after a new SIP session established and client agents are registered. The framework proposed based onSIP enables users to transfer spatial data such as maps and satellite images directly between mobile devices during VoIP based voice call and therefore, mobile applications can be applied in various domains such asforest management and national defense.

  • Alterations in the cellular genome affecting the expression or function of genes controlling cell growth and differentiation are considered to be the main cause of cancer. Over 30 oncogenes can be activated by insertional mutagenesis, single point mutations, chromosomal translocations and gene amplification. The ras oncogenes have been detected in $15{\sim}20%$ of human tumors that include some of the most common forms of human neoplasia and are known to acquire their transforming properties by single point mutations in two domains of their coding sequences, most commonly in codons 12 and 61. The ras gene family consists of three functional genes, N-ras, K-ras and H-ras which encode highly similar proteins of 188 or 189 amino acid residues generically known as P21. ras proteins have been shown to bind GTP and GTP, and possess intrinsic GTPase activity. Experimental study was performed to observe the mutational change of the ras gene family and apply the results to the clinical activity. 36 Golden Syrian Hamster each weighing $60{\sim}80g$ were used and painted with 0.5% DMBA by 3 times weekly on the right buccal cheek(experimental side) for 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 weeks. Left buccal cheek (control side) was treated with mineral oil as the same manner of the right side. The hamsters were sacrificed on the 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 & 16 weeks. Normal and tumor tissues from paraffin block were completely dissected by microdissection and DNA from both tissue were isolated by proteinase K/phenol/chloroform extraction. Segments of the K-ras and H-ras gene were amplified by PCR using the oligonucleotide primers corresponding to the homologous region (codon 12 and 61) of the hamster gene, and then confirmational change of ras genes was observed by SSCP and autosequencing analysis. The results were as follows : 1. Malignant lesion could be found in the experimental side from the experimental six weeks. 2. One hamster among six showed point mutation of the H-ras codon 12($G{\rightarrow}A$ transition) at the experimental 10 and 14 weeks. 3. One of six at 6 weeks, two of six at 8 weeks and one of six at 12 weeks revealed the confirmational change of the H-ras codon 61($A{\rightarrow}T$ transversion). 4. The incidence of point mutation of H-ras codon 12 and 61 were 5.5%(2 of 36) and 11%(4 of 36) respectively. 5. Point mutation of the K-ras could not be seen during the whole experimental period. Form the above results, these findings strongly support the concept that H-ras oncogenes may have the influence of the DMBA induced carcinoma of hamster buccal pouch.

  • Background: This study was guided by principles of the theoretical system of evidence-based medicine. In particular, when searching for evidence of breast cancer, a measuring scale is an instrument for evaluating curative effects in accordance with the laws and characteristics of medicine and exploring the establishment of a system for medically assessing curative effects. At present, there exist few tools for evaluating curative effects. Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) refer to outcomes directly reported by patients (without input or explanations from doctors or other intermediaries) with respect to all aspects of their health. Data obtained from PROs provide evidence of treatment effects. Materials and Methods: In accordance with the tenets of theoretical medicine and ancient medical theory regarding breast cancer, principles for developing a PRO scale were established, and a theoretical model was developed and a literature review was performed, items from this pool were combined and split, and an initial scale was constructed. After a pilot survey and additional modifications, a pre-questionnaire scale was formed and used in a field investigation. After the application of statistical methods, the item pool was used to create a formal scale. The reliability, validity and feasibility of this formal scale were then assessed. Results: In a clinical investigation, 479 responses were recovered, with an acceptance rate of 95%. a combination of various methods was employed, and the items that were selected by all methods or more than half of the methods were employed in the questionnaire. In these cases, the screening methods were combined with certain features of the item, A total of four domains and 38 items were reserved. The reliability analysis indicated that the PRO scale was relatively reliable. Conclusions: Scientific assessment proved that the proposed scale exhibited good reliability and validity. This scale was readily accepted and could be used to assess the curative effects of medical therapy. However, given the limited scope of this investigation, the capacity for adapting this scale to incorporate other theories could not be determined.
