Design and analysis of a signal readout integrated circuit for the bolometer type infrared detect sensors (볼로미터형 적외선 센서의 신호처리회로 설계 및 특성)

  • This paper proposes a readout integrated circuit (ROIC) for $32{\times}32$ infrared focal plane array (IRFPA) detector, which consist of reference resistor, detector resistor, reset switch, integrated capacitor and operational amplifier. Proposed ROIC is designed using $0.35{\;}{\mu}m$ 2P-4M (double poly four metal) n-well CMOS process parameters. Low noise folded cascode operational amplifier which is a key element in the ROIC showed 12.8 MHz unity-gain bandwidth and open-gain 89 dB, phase margin $67^{\circ}$, SNR 82 dB. From proposed circuit, we gained output voltage variation ${\Delta}17{\};mV/^{\circ}C$ when the detector resistor varied according to the temperature.

  • Now, on developing COMS(Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite) has solar panel on the south panel only. Therefore, the wheel off-loading has to be performed periodically to reduce a induced momentum energy by a asymmetric solar panel. One of two East/West station keeping maneuver to correct simultaneously longitude and eccentricity, orbit corrections may be performed during one of the two wheel off-loading manoeuvres per day to get enough observation time for meteorological and ocean sensor. In this paper, we applied a linearized orbit maneuver equation to acquire maneuver time and delta-V. Nonlinear simulation for the station keeping is performed and compared with general station keeping strategy for fuel reduction.

  • The corrosion behaviour of mild steel in phosphoric acid solution in the presence and absence of pollutants viz. Chloride, Fluoride and Sulfate ions at 302K-333K was studied using mass loss and potentiostatic polarization methods. The addition of chloride and sulfate ions inhibits the mild steel corrosion in phosphoric acid while fluoride ions stimulate it. The effect of temperature on the corrosion behaviour of mild steel indicated that inhibition of chloride and sulfate ions decreased with increasing temperature. The adsorption of these ions (Chloride and sulfate) on the mild steel surface in acid has been found to obey Langmuir adsorption isotherm. The values of activation energy (Ea) and free energy of adsorption ($\Delta$) indicated physical adsorption of these ions (chloride and sulfate) on the mild steel surface. The plot of $logW_{f}$ against time (days) at 302K gives a straight line, which suggested that it obeys first order kinetics and also calculate the rate constant k and half-life time $t_{1/2}$.

  • Diarrheal diseases are a major cause of both illness and death in developing countries and are caused by rotavirus, Shigella spp., Salmonella spp., enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC), and Vibrio spp. In this study, for the development of vaccine against diarrheal diseases caused by Shigella sonei, Salmonella typhimurium, E. coli O157, and Vibrio cholerae, cloning and nucleotide sequence analysis of genes and characteristics of their gene products in E. coli were performed. For construction of attenuated strain of S. sonnei KNIH104 and Salmonella typhimurium KNIH100, the aroA genes were cloned, respectively. The recombinant plasmid $_pJP{\Delta}A45$ containing aroA deleted region and suicide vector $(_pJP5603)$ was constructed. The aroA gene deleted mutants were constructed using this recombinant plasmid. For cloning gene encoding antigenic region of E. coli O157 KNIH317, the O-antigen synthesis gene cluster and sit gene was cloned. The E. coli XL1-Blue cells harboring this recombinant plasmid showed cytotoxicity in Vero cells. The ctx gene was cloned for tile purpose of antigenic region against V. cholerae KNIH002. Sequence analysis confirmed that the virulence gene cassette was consisted of ace, zot, ctxA and ctxB genes.

Burn Delay Analysis of the Lunar Orbit Insertion for Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter

  • The first Korea lunar orbiter, Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter (KPLO), has been in development since 2016. After launch, the KPLO will execute several maneuvers to enter into the lunar mission orbit, and will then perform lunar science missions for one year. Among these maneuvers, the lunar orbit insertion (LOI) is the most critical maneuver because the KPLO will experience an extreme velocity change in the presence of the Moon's gravitational pull. However, the lunar orbiter may have a delayed LOI burn during operation due to hardware limitations and telemetry delays. This delayed burn could occur in different captured lunar orbits; in the worst case, the KPLO could fly away from the Moon. Therefore, in this study, the burn delay for the first LOI maneuver is analyzed to successfully enter the desired lunar orbit. Numerical simulations are performed to evaluate the difference between the desired and delayed lunar orbits due to a burn delay in the LOI maneuver. Based on this analysis, critical factors in the LOI maneuver, the periselene altitude and orbit period, are significantly changed and an additional delta-V in the second LOI maneuver is required as the delay burn interval increases to 10 min from the planned maneuver epoch.

Implications of Fullerene-60 upon in-vitro LDPE Biodegradation

  • Fullerene-60 nanoparticles were used for studying their effect on the low-density polyethylene (LDPE) biodegradation efficiency of two potential polymer-degrading consortia comprising three bacterial strains each. At a concentration of 0.01% (w/v) in minimal broth lacking dextrose, fullerene did not have any negative influence upon the consortia growth. However, fullerene was found to be detrimental for bacterial growth at higher concentrations (viz., 0.25%, 0.5%, and 1%). Although addition of 0.01% fullerene into the biodegradation assays containing 5mg/ml LDPE subsided growth curves significantly, subsequent analysis of the degraded products revealed an enhanced biodegradation. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) revealed breakage and formation of chemical bonds along with the introduction of ${\nu}C$-O frequencies into the hydrocarbon backbone of LDPE. Moreover, simultaneous thermogravimetric-differential thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis (TG-DTG-DTA) revealed a higher number of decomposition steps along with a 1,000-fold decrease in the heat of reactions (${\Delta}H$) in fullerene-assisted biodegraded LDPE, suggesting the probable formation of multiple macromolecular byproducts. This is the first report whereby fullerene-60, which is otherwise considered toxic, has helped to accelerate the polymer biodegradation process of bacterial consortia.

  • The single crystal scintillator of bismuth germinate ($Bi_4Ge_3O_{12}$:BGO) was successfully grown by the conventional Czochraski technique. The characteristics of the grown BGO were evaluated and presented on the excitation, emission responses and energy spectra of the $\gamma$-rays from $^{241}Am$, $^{133}Ba$, $^{57}Co$, $^{22}Na$, $^{137}Cs$ and $^{54}Mn$ radio-isotopes. The energy resolution of grown BGO, $\Delta$E/E, was estimated to be 12.1% at 662 keV of $\gamma$-ray for $^{137}Cs$ nuclide. Compared to the commercial BGO crystal, we confirmed that the grown BGO has a good performance and is comparable to reference one.

  • This thesis introduced that character of a treatment technique for a mading synthetic resin Hifiow-Ring. The material system of packings make an experiment air$NH_{3}$/air$H_{2}SO_{4}$, $SO_{2}$-air/NaOH, $NH_{3}$-air/$/H_{2}SO_{4}$ under general conditions. Lattices packing compared with conventional packings was proved low pressure loss and high separation efficiency for high loading per trans unit. And an inflow materal tested for absorption and rectification, it made an experiment under a range regular temperature, low energy and small amount of money. That made possible in simple equation, volume material tranfer coefficient$\beta_{L}$ . a by absorption or $\beta_{V}$ .a calculated in all range loading. The peculiarity pressure loss $\Delta\;P/NUT_{ov}$ for Hiflow-ring contributed to a fall cost of energy, a grade number of a vacuum rectification and absorption calculation.

  • 교량설계에 있어서는 교량의 기능과 안전성, 경제성 등 구조 광학적인 면을 고려하여 설계하게 되는데 최근에는 교량의 경관설계에 관해서도 많은 관심을 갖고 있다. 그러나, 국내에선 교량의 구조적인 측면에서의 연구는 활발하게 이루어지고 있으나 교량의 경관설계에 대한 연구는 거의 이루어지고 있지 않다. 따라서, 본 연구의 목적은 교량의 구조 공학적인 판단과 경관 공학적인 판단에 의해서 교량 형식을 결정하는 방법과 선호도가 높은 현수교의 시점장을 분석하는데 있다. 교량형식을 결정하는 방법은 기초설계단계에서 Seen 경관을 고려하여 교량의 유형을 결정하고, 교량의 구조적인 정.동역학적 검토와 Seen경관.Sequence 경관 등을 고려하여 교종의 형식을 결정하게 되는 각 단계별 설계조건에 따른 교량설계 방법을 흐름도로 제시하였다. 또한, 현수교의 시점장의 범위를 정량적으로 나타내기 위해서 교량전체에 대한 시선입사각, 가까운 쪽의 주탑에 대한 시선입사각, 가까운 쪽 주탑의 외관 크기에 대한 연직시각, 교량전체가 시야에 들어올 수 있는 수평시각 등을 주시실험 자료와 Professional 현수교의 사진에 의한 구조형태의 비율 등을 측정하여 분석 교차한 결과 교량전체에 대한 시선입사각 $\alpha$=(15$\pm$7.5)$^{\circ}$, 가까운 쪽의 주탑에 대한 시선입사각 V=(30$\pm$7.5)$^{\circ}$, 가까운 쪽 주탑의 외관 크기에 대한 연직시각 18$^{\circ}$$\leq$$\delta$27$^{\circ}$, 교량전체가 시야에 들어올 수 있는 수평시각 $\theta$$\leq$60$^{\circ}$의 시점장을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • In this study, electrocaloric effects of Pb-free $(Ba_{0.85}Ca_{0.15})(Ti_{0.92}Zr_{0.08})O_3$ ferroelectric ceramics were investigated and discussed using the characteristics of P-E hysteresis loops at wide temperature range from room temperature to $140^{\circ}C$. The remnant polarization $P_r$ and coercive field $E_c$ were decreased with increasing temperature. The temperature change ${\Delta}T$ by the electrcaloric effect was calculated by Maxwell's relations, and reached the maximum of ~0.15 at $120^{\circ}C$ under applied electric field of 30 kV/cm.
