  • It constructs a database generally and service it does, to use a commercial business DBMS that manages information and to use a retrieval system that supports a search, it adopts the gearing method of the DBMS and information retrieval system. But like this method is inconvenient must operate the DBMS and information retrieval system with duplication to be, there is a weak point where the data management and processing become accomplished with duplication. It presents the DB construction and information search and the management model of the KRISTAL-2002 information retrieval and management system base for the scientific and technical information data management and processing from the dissertation which it sees.

Revision of the Input Parameters for the Prediction Models of Smoke Detectors Based on the FDS (FDS 기반의 연기감지기 예측모델을 위한 입력인자 재검토)

  • Accurate predictions of the activation time for smoke detectors using a fire simulation is are required to ensure the reliability of the RSET (Required Safe Egress Time) calculation in the process of PBD (Performance-Based Design). The objective of this study was to enhance the accuracy of input parameters for the numerical models of smoke detector based on the FDS. To this end, a Fire Detector Evaluator (FDE) developed in previous studies was improved. The uniformities of flow and smoke inside the FDE were improved and accurate measurements of the obscuration per meter (OPM) related to detector operation were also performed through a decrease in the forward scattering of smoke particles. The input parameters using the improved FDE showed a significant difference from the previous FDE quantitatively. In particular, a larger difference was found in a photoelectric detector compared to an ionization detector. Considering that the operating conditions of smoke detectors are affected by the detector type, combustibles, smoke particulars, and color, the database (DB) on the input parameters for various detectors and combustibles should be built to improve the reliability of PBD in future studies.

  • This study aims to standardize the work classification system in spatial data. Up to now, a systematic standard for constructing process and quality management has not yet been established in Korea, thus, it is possible for the national budget to be wasted. The regulations related to constructing spatial data are also obscure, and absurd for feasible application to reality, which results in a lack of reliability of the quality of spatial data. This study was conducted by investigating and analyzing regulations related to spatial data quality and various literature, including studies on spatial data quality conducted by the NGII. And also, the study was conducted by investigating and analyzing the constructing processes and working methods of major firms that have experience in constructing a GIS for a local governing body. Based on the analyzed data, we standardized work classification and management methodology for control point surveying using GPS, leveling, aerial photographing, digital mapping, topographic mapping, digital elevation modeling, aerial photographic DB construction, digital orthophotomap.

A Study on the Evaluation of Water Consumption in Electric Appliances using Water Footprint - Focusing on Washing Machine - (Water Footprint 개념을 이용한 가전제품의 수자원 사용량 산정 (세탁기를 중심으로))

  • In this study, by using the Water footprint technique, the water consumption by washing machines, which holds higher ranks in using water than any other electric appliances, was analyzed during their life cycle. The life cycle is defined as raw materials production step, manufacturing step, and using step. In raw materials production step, Input materials were researched by using LCI DB(Life Cycle Inventory Database) and the water consumption was calculated with consideration of approximately 65% Input materials which were based weight. In manufacturing step, the water consumption was calculated by the amount of energy used in assembly factories and components subcontractors and emission factor of energy. In using step, referring to guidelines on carbon footprint labeling, the life cycle is applied as 5 years for a washing machine and 218 cycles for annual bounds of usage. The water and power consumption for operating was calculated by referring to posted materials on the manufacture's websites. The water consumption by nation unit was calculated with the result of water consumption by a unit of washing machine. As a result, it shows that water consumption per life cycle s 110,105 kg/unit. The water consumption of each step is 90,495 kg/unit for using, 18,603 kg for raw materials production and 1,006 kg/unit for manufacturing, which apparently shows that the using step consume the most water resource. The water consumption by nation unit is 371,269,584tons in total based on 2006, 83,385,649 tons in both steps of raw material production and manufacturing, and 287,883,935 tons in using step.

  • With the recent development of manufacturing technology and the diversification of consumer needs, not only the process and quality control of production have become more complicated but also the kinds of information that manufacturing facilities provide the user about process have been diversified. Therefore the importance of big data analysis also has been raised. However, most small and medium enterprises (SMEs) lack the systematic infrastructure of big data management and analysis. In particular, due to the nature of domestic manufacturing companies that rely on foreign manufacturers for most of their manufacturing facilities, the need for their own data analysis and manufacturing support applications is increasing and research has been conducted in Korea. This study proposes integrated analysis platform for process and quality analysis, considering manufacturing big data database (DB) and data characteristics. The platform is implemented in two versions, Web and C/S, to enhance accessibility which perform template based quality analysis and real-time monitoring. The user can upload data from their local PC or DB and run analysis by combining single analysis module in template in a way they want since the platform is not optimized for a particular manufacturing process. Also Java and R are used as the development language for ease of system supplementation. It is expected that the platform will be available at a low price and evolve the ability of quality analysis in SMEs.

Analysis of Consulting Research Trends Using Topic Modeling (토픽 모델링을 활용한 컨설팅 연구동향 분석)

  • 'Consulting', which is the main research topic of the knowledge service industry, is a field of study that is essential for the growth and development of companies and proliferation to specialized fields. However, it is difficult to grasp the current status of international research related to consulting, mainly on which topics are being studied, and what are the latest research topics. The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trends of academic research related to 'consulting' by applying quantitative analysis such as topic modeling and statistic analysis. In this study, we collected statistical data related to consulting in the Scopus DB of Elsevier, which is a representative academic database, and conducted a quantitative analysis on 15,888 documents. We scientifically analyzed the research trends related to consulting based on the bibliographic data of academic research published all over the world. Specifically, the trends of the number of articles published in the major countries including Korea, the author key word trend, and the research topic trend were compared by country and year. This study is significant in that it presents the result of quantitative analysis based on bibliographic data in the academic DB in order to scientifically analyze the trend of academic research related to consulting. Especially, it is meaningful that the traditional frequency-based quantitative bibliographic analysis method and the text mining (topic modeling) technique are used together and analyzed. The results of this study can be used as a tool to guide the direction of research in consulting field. It is expected that it will help to predict the promising field, changes and trends of consulting industry related research through the trend analysis.

  • In this paper, we propose an architecture that affords mobile app based on nomadic smartphone using not only mobile cloud computing- architecture but also a dedicated web platform called Node.js built-in with the asynchronous, Nonblocking, Event-Driven programming paradigm. Furthermore, the design of the proposed architecture takes document oriented database known as MongoDB to deal with the large amount of data transmit by users of mobile web access application. The Node.js aims to give the programmers the tools needed to solves the large number of concurrent connections problem. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed architecture by implementing an android application responsible of real time analysis by using a vehicle to applications smart phones interface approach that considers the smartphones to acts as a remote users which passes driver inputs and delivers output from external applications.

Analysis of Research Trends in Technology Innovation: Focus on SCOPUS DB (기술혁신의 연구 동향 분석: SCOPUS DB를 중심으로)

  • With the start of the digital transformation era, many changes have been made to the corporate environment. Companies are now in a competitive environment that is different from the past. There are so many technological innovations that cannot be imagined centering around the technology related to digital transformation. Unlike the past, research on technological innovation is also proceeding much. Therefore, in this research, we searched for papers on the theme of technological innovation from 2015 to 2019, focusing on the SCOPUS database. We collected 1043 papers that provide green among the papers and analyzed them using text mining technology and LDA method. As a result of the analysis, it was clarified that research on technological innovation is continuously increasing, and it was found that research for technological innovation in various fields is being conducted. In addition to the theme of technological innovation, various keywords related to technological innovation were also derived.

  • DNN error is small compared to the conventional speech recognition system, DNN is difficult to parallel training, often the amount of calculations, and requires a large amount of data obtained. In this paper, we generate a phoneme unit to estimate the GMM parameters with each phoneme model parameters from the GMM to solve the problem efficiently. And it suggests ways to improve performance through clustering for a specific vocabulary to effectively apply them. To this end, using three types of word speech database was to have a DB build vocabulary model, the noise processing to extract feature with Warner filters were used in the speech recognition experiments. Results using the proposed method showed a 97.9% recognition rate in speech recognition. In this paper, additional studies are needed to improve the problems of improved over fitting.

  • The study and techniques of system engineering have been applied to various fields including space-air, national defense division in advanced countries. Korea is currently in the early stages of introducing system engineering scheme in railway system and national defense division restrictedly. As theory and application of system engineering covers a wide scope, documents management and requirement analysis technology applied to establishment of standard and core unit development of the research target. The techniques which are historical management and trace among standards for establishment of standard are introduced using SE tools and participating agencies shared the information by constructing of database from all documents which are generated from the project. Through the functional analysis of the requirements for the intelligent station monitoring system in basic design stage, established requirements are verified and will be made official announcement as standard of the intelligent station monitoring system.
