Synchronization Algorithm for Wireless LAM Using OFDM Transmission Technique (OFDM 전송기술을 이용하는 무선 LAN용 동기 알고리즘)

  • The synchronization algorithm of IEEE 802.11a WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) has three consecutive processes, which use a short code training symbol, a long code training symbol and a pilot symbol respectively. But in using this synchronization processes, the actual embodiment has two problems. First, the synchronization process has the complex structure using a long code training symbol and a pilot symbol. Second, since the long training symbol is only compensated with the offset correction coefficient, it can not be trusted perfectly. If the equalizer coefficient is obtained in this unstable period, the system performance is degraded. In particular, the system performance becomes worst in case of the 54 Mbps transmission system using the maximum length of data. In this paper, the new algorithm is proposed which can resolve the embodiment complexity of synchronization processes and structural defect, and also it is confirmed by simulation.

A Study on the Influence of System Quality and Synchronization Factors for Learning Performance in e-Learning: The Mediating Effect of Learning Flow (e-러닝의 시스템품질과 동기화요인이 학업성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 학습몰입의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • Recently, the development of ICT(information & communications technology) with the advent of new media paradigm shift in learning has brought a dramatic impact on the competitiveness of universities. The previous studies on the academic performance of e-learning mainly targeted on e-learning users, studying additional synchronization and system quality factors to measure academic performance. This study empirically analyzed the learning flow and academic performance considering both DeLone & McLean model system quality and synchronizing factors based on ARCS model. Relating to quality and synchronization factors, the academic performance of e-learning system was tested, and the difference between learning flow and academic performance was also analyzed based on time-series data, by the test difference(in the beginning, during, and final of the semester). The results of the study are as follows. First, the study shows that both system quality and synchronization directly affected the learning performance. Thus, when designing e-learning system, it is necessary to consider these two factors at the same time. Second, the indirectly mediating effect on the system quality and synchronization factors turned out to be significant in learning flow. Third, the result of regression analysis on the contents of utilizing dummy variable presents that the teacher's explanation has greater influence than multimedia has to the academic performance, and furthermore, the test difference showed no significance. Further research should be undertaken to consider the learner's degree of acceptance which reflects various aspects for building m-learning or u-learning.

  • The use of GPS receiver at outer space becomes common in low earth orbit. The KOrea Multi-Purpose SATellite-1 (KOMPSAT-1) which was launched in December 1999 has used GPS receiver's navigation solution to perform the Orbit Determination (OD) in the ground. At the circumstance of using only one ground station, the Orbit Determination using GPS receiver is good method. Because the accuracy of navigation solution acquiring directly from GPS receiver is not enough in satellite application such as map generation, post-processing concepts such as the Precise Orbit Determination (POD) are applied to satellite data processing to improve satellite position accuracy. The POD uses GPS receiver's raw measurement data instead of GPS receiver's navigation solution. The KOrea Multi- Purpose SATellite-2 (KOMPSAT-2) system newly uses the POD technique for large scale map generation. The satellite was launched in the end of July 2006. The satellite sends high resolution images in panchromatic band and multi-spectral bands to the ground. The satellite system uses GPS receivers as source of time synchronization and command reference in the satellite, provider of navigation solution for the OD, and provider of raw measurement data for the POD. In this paper, mechanical configuration and operations of the GPS receiver will be presented. The GPS data characteristics of the satellite such as time synchronization, command reference, the OD using GPS receiver's navigation solution, and the POD using GPS receiver's raw measurement data will be presented and analyzed. The enhancement of performance compared with it of the previous satellite will also be analyzed.

  • The synchronization feature on the smartphone by default (default) value is set. Smartphone synchronization has been set is stored that smartphone data is automatically backed up is stored When connected to a PC with a smartphone dedicated cable. The backup data is a common technique to analyze the content to be difficult to apply forensic techniques can find out information on criminal suspects. In this paper, the backup data is synchronized to the smartphone through forensic analysis is the study of forensic evidence. In a lab environment to send personal financial information on smartphone, smartphone is assumed that the experiment is compromised. Smartphone's backup data by using the forensic tools in crime associated with personal financial information and analyze data. And, to be adopted by the court will study the evidence leveraging forensic technology. Through this paper as a basis for smartphone forensic analysis will be utilized.

  • 본 연구는 공간데이터 동기화 표준 프로토콜 명세인 SyncML(Synchronization Markup Language)을 이용하여 모바일 장비와 서버사이에 공간데이터를 동기화 구조를 정의하여 상호운용성 확보를 위하여 기존에 사용되어온 GML(Geographic Markup Language) 데이터와의 통합 및 다양한 데이터 소스에 대한 접근 가능성을 제시한다 뿐만 아니라 Metadata 및 Catalog Service를 이용한 공간데이터 동기화 시스템을 제시함으로써 분산되어 있는 다양한 형태의 공간데이터, 비공간 데이터의 관계성을 고려한 데이터 연동을 가능하게 한다.

  • Neural oscillator is applied in oscillatory systems (Analysis of image information, Voice recognition. Etc...). If we apply established EBPA(Error back Propagation Algorithm) to oscillatory system, we are difficult to presume complicated input's patterns. Therefore, it requires more data at training, and approximation of convergent speed is difficult. In this paper, I studied the neural oscillator as synchronized states with appropriate phase relation between neurons and recognized the Korean alphabet using Neural Oscillator Phase model Synchronization.

This service became available to several major metropolitan areas in 1986 with speeds of 4800, 9600, 56000 b/s. The network is expected to grow to include many city areas.   • This paper proposes a symbol timing recovery method that is simple in structure and can provide high speed symbol synchronization. Transmitter and receiver are not synchronized in communication systems using digital modulation. Receiver should search the timing variation of transmitter continuously. The proposed timing recovery method searches sample position by comparing previous sample value with next sample value. This method can be applied to digital and optical transceivers with high data rate.

  • This paper describes synchronization concept and algorithm of the reverse DS-SS/TDMA control channel to handle satellite terminals which are distributed through the mission area. Military satellite control channel should have ECCM capabilities and handle more than several hundreds satcom terminals simultaneously. DS-SS/TDMA control channel can satisfy these demand but it spend much synchronization time. Proposed algorithm insert the preamble which is divided with several short sub bins prior to control data and use the parallel matched filtering searcher for each sub bin. As a result of the test, proposed algorithm can acquire most of control channel packet successfully within several milliseconds in severe jamming environment.

  • For interchange of multimedia informations and presentation as intented by objects composer, there are need to interchange format of informations and control synchronization between medias. And It is therefore need to provide a method and apparatus for synchroniztion control of multimedia objects which can control the conditional, temporal. and spatial synchronization in a MHEG engine developed to execute the functions defined as the international standards. In this paper. We propose to improved method and apparatus for synchronization control of multimedia objects which can execute the synchronized presentation by combining media data needed for presentation of multimedia information, and which enable the interactive processing between the user and the MHEG engine by allowing the user input to be processed during presentation.
