Torque shaping for near-minimum-time optimal slewing of 3-axis spacecraft (3축 위성체의 준최소시간 선회기동을 위한 입력형상최적화)

  • In this paper, the optimal torque shaping is obtained for 3-axis rotation of a spacecraft. The true optimal 3-axis rotation of rigid spaeraft is first investigated via parameter optimization method with prescribed switching times. Input torque shape of the troque generating device mounted on the central hub is optimized using fourier Series expansion so that the spacecraft may slew while minimizing the vibration energy of flexible modes. Numerical results show that proposed method suggests a reference trahectory for open-loop control, and also verify that it can minimize the vibratory modes of the spacecraft during/after the rest-to-rest maneuver.

Modeling of Digital Servo System for Optical Pickup Tuner (광 픽업 조정기를 위한 디지털 서보 시스템의 모델링)

  • CD-ROM(Compact Disk-Read Only Memory) is very attractive storage media because it has much storage space but is small size and portable. Optical pickup, one of the most important parts for reading data on a CD-ROM, is not produced tuned up. For the use of goods, we must tune up the optical pickup by adjusting the screw for adjustment. First, we developed analog servo system for optical pickup tuners. For eliminating some problems in analog servo system, this paper designed the modeling of digital servo system for optical pickup tuner. Though the characteristics of optical pickup are changed, the digital servo system for optical pickup tuner can easily apply to all pickup, and can reduce the measurement error among the optical pickup tuners. For the purpose of confirming the designed digital servo system, we produced data that specify the disk vibration and the disk eccentricity, and simulated servo system with MATLAB.

  • In this paper, the improvement of cap tilting system in heavy truck and the development of program for automatic design are discussed. Cab tilting system takes some important roles in heavy truck, absorbing discomfort vibration from load, increasing repair efficiency and making sure of safety. Common manual cab tilting system cannot be easily tilt up in sloped road, giving difficulty to driver as cal tilting up/down. So recently hydraulic cab tilting system is in wide use. But some problem such as tilting up/down speed is not constant and sudden swing of cab has brought discredit from user. Therefore, this paper presents advanced cab tilting system which prevents sudden swing of cab and development of program for selecting design parameters automatically.

  • This paper proposes a tuned liquid column sloshing damper(TLCSD) and presents experimental results to evaluate its control performance. The proposed damper acts as a tuned liquid column damper(TLCD) and a tuned liquid damper(TLD), respectively, in both principal axes of building structures. Shaking table test was performed to grasp its dynamic characteristics. Testing results showed that under inclined incident excitations, a TLCSD used in this study have dynamic characteristics coupled by both TLCD and TLD.

  • In General, the hydraulic system of T-50 Advanced Trainer is applied to flight control system, wheel & Brake system and fuel system for aircraft operation. The hydraulic system is operation with pressure of 3000psi. and many mechanical parts which is operated by hydraulic system has been stressed in incomplete environment same as heat and friction. for example, Oil leakage had occurred in the shutoff valve of FFP used in a certain period of time. After study, The crack progressed by fatigue due to the irregular hydraulic pressure and vibration has been identified as the reason of oil leakage. This paper presents life cycle extension plans of FFP shutoff valve by configuration improvements of shutoff valve and FFP hydraulic motor.

  • Flow control butterfly valve(FCBV) is known to have difficulty in controlling flow rate along valve opening due to its high flow rate. In low opening condition, the butterfly valve also has some shortcomings such as noise, vibration and erosion which are mostly caused by cavitation effects. Therefore, the FCBV requires proper remedies to reduce cavitation effects and to improve flow control performance. Numerical analysis is applied to FCBV flow to find effects of design factors such as seat diameter and valve opening rate. Cases with 3 different sizes of seat diameter and various valve opening rate are selected for the numerical analysis. From the analysis results, it is found that the FCBV with small seat diameter shows better pressure loss performance and reduced cavitation effects.

  • Cogging torque is often a principal source of vibration and acoustic noise in high precision spindle motor applications. In this paper, cogging torque is analytically calculated using energy method to show that Fourier spectra of airgap permeance function and airgap MMF function are the most important design parameters to control cogging torque. To control these functions, stator pole shoe pairing and magnet arc design are proposed to minimize cogging torque. As for optimization technique, genetic algorithm is applied to handle trade-off effects of design parameters. Results show that the proposed method can reduce the cogging torque effectively.

  • In the development of a high speed and light weight manipulator, it is necessary to consider the flexibility of a robotic arm. The infinite dynamics must be analyzed to obtain the finite mode modeling to achieve the feasible controller design of the robotic arm. The modeling procedures of the flexible robot arm, and natural frequencies and mode shapes by the constrained and unconstrained mode method are illustrated. The transfer function of the robot arm with a payload is also shown. The controller is designed by the pole assignment and optimal control theory to compensate for the unmodelled dynamic effects to the low order system. Also, the pole assignment method involving the harmonic vibration mode is presented through computer simulation.

  • 원판의 진동은 위치 좌표에 따라 진동변위 및 속도가 달라질 뿐 아니라, 또한 여러 진동모우드를 포함하고 있다. 이러한 특성을 갖는 시스템의 진동을 감소시키기 위해서는 진동 제어력을 발생시 켜주는 구동장치와 진동변수를 측정하는 측정장치를 어느 위치에 두느냐가 무엇보다도 중요하다. 더구나 여러 진동 모우드를 동시에 최적으로 제어하기 위해서는 진동 모우드 개수 만큼의 많은 측정장치가 필요하게 되는데 이러한 난점을 해결하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 측정장치의 역할을 대신해 주는 관측기(observer)를 부착하여 측정장치의 필요 개수를 줄였다. 최적제어 이론을 바탕 으로 구동 장치와 측정장치의 위치를 최적으로 결정하였고, 제어기의 제어상수를 최적으로 설계 하였다. 이와 같이 설계된 최적 제어 시스템의 제어효과를 평가해 보기 위해서 원판의 진동을 예 를 들어 시뮬레이션해 보았는데 그 결과를 자세히 기술하였다.
