  • Continuous, discrete and semi continuous HMM systems are used for the speech recognition. Discrete systems have the advantage of low run-time computation. However, vector quantization reduces accuracy and this can lead to poor performance. Continuous systems let us get good correctness but they need much calculation so that occasionally they are unable to be used for practice. Although there are semi-continuous systems which apply advantage of continuous and discrete systems, they also require much computation. In this paper, we proposed the way which reduces calculation for continuous systems. The proposed method has the same computational load as discrete systems but can give better recognition accuracy than discrete systems.

  • In this paper, we characterize the intuitionistic fuzzy ${\delta}$-continuous, intuitionistic fuzzy weakly ${\delta}$-continuous, intuitionistic fuzzy almost continuous, and intuitionistic fuzzy almost strongly ${\theta}$-continuous functions in terms of intuitionistic fuzzy ${\delta}$-closure and interior or ${\theta}$-closure and interior.

  • This study proposes analytical methods to establish the eigenfunction of continuous system due to substructuring and decoupling of discrete subsystems. The dynamic characteristics of updated continuous system are evaluated by the constraint effect of consistent deformation at the interfaces between two systems. Beginning with the dynamic equation for constrained discrete system, this work estimates the modal eigenmode function for the continuous system due to the addition or deletion of discrete systems. Numerical applications illustrate the validity and applicability of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, we propose new digital optimal control approach for controlling continuous-time nonlinear chaotic systems, which show very complex behavior and cannot be easily controlled by conventional control methods. Most real systems are represented as continuous-time system, whereas some control methods should be implemented under the condition of computer-based platforms, which are discrete-time systems. To achieve the control objective for chaotic systems successfully, the sampled-data controller, which considers the inter-sample behavior of the continuous-time systems effectively, should be needed.   • This paper presents an on-line scheme for parameter estimation of continuous-time systems, based on the model adjustment technique and the genetic algorithm technique. To deal with the initialisation and unmeasurable signal problems in on-line parameter estimation of continuous-time systems, a discrete-time model is obtained for the linear differential equation model and approximations of unmeasurable states with the observable output and its time-delayed values are obtained for the nonlinear state space model. Noisy observations may affect these approximation processes and degrade the estimation performance. A digital prefilter is therefore incorporated to avoid direct approximations of system derivatives from possible noisy observations. The parameters of both the model and the designed filter are adjusted on-line by a genetic algorithm, A set of simulation works for linear and nonlinear systems is carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
