  • In this paper, the implementation techniques of intelligent nuclear material surveillance system based on the SOM(Self Organized Mapping) was described. Unattended continuous surveillance systems for nuclear facility result in large amounts of data, which require much time and effort to inspect. Therefore, it is necessary to develop system that automatically pinpoints and diagnoses the anomalies from data. In this regards, this paper presents a novel concept of a continuous surveillance system that integrates visual image and radiation data by the use of neural networks based on self-organized feature mapping

STRONG CONVERGENCE THEOREMS FOR LOCALLY PSEUDO-CONTRACTIVE MAPPINGS IN BANACH SPACES

  • Let X be a reflexive Banach space with a uniformly Gateaux differentiable norm, C a nonempty bounded open subset of X, and T a continuous mapping from the closure of C into X which is locally pseudo-contractive mapping on C. We show that if the closed unit ball of X has the fixed point property for nonexpansive self-mappings and T satisfies the following condition: there exists z $\in$ C such that ∥z-T(z)∥<∥x-T(x)∥ for all x on the boundary of C, then the trajectory tlongrightarrowz$_{t}$$\in$C, t$\in$[0, 1) defined by the equation z$_{t}$ = tT(z$_{t}$)+(1-t)z is continuous and strongly converges to a fixed point of T as t longrightarrow 1 ̄.ow 1 ̄.

  • Let $\mathcal{P}_n$ be the set of all monic integral self-reciprocal poly-nomials of degree n whose all zeros lie on the unit circle. In this paper we study the following question: For P(z), Q(z)${\in}\mathcal{P}_n$, does there exist a continuous mapping $r{\rightarrow}G_r(z){\in}\mathcal{P}_n$ on [0, 1] such that $G_0$(z) = P(z) and $G_1$(z) = Q(z)?.

  • In this note we prove the following result: Let A be a complex Banach *-algebra with continuous involution and let B be an $A^{*}$-algebra./T(A) = B. Then T is continuous (Theorem 2). From above theorem some others results of special interest and some well-known results follow. (Corollaries 3,4,5,6 and 7). We close this note with some generalizations and some remarks (Theorems 8.9.10 and question). Throughout this note we consider only complex algebras. Let A and B be complex algebras. A linear mapping T from A into B is called jordan homomorphism if T( $x^{1}$) = (Tx)$^{2}$ for all x in A. A linear mapping T : A .rarw. B is called spectrally-contractive mapping if .rho.(Tx).leq..rho.(x) for all x in A, where .rho.(x) denotes spectral radius of element x. Any homomorphism algebra is a spectrally-contractive mapping. If A and B are *-algebras, then a homomorphism T : A.rarw.B is called *-homomorphism if (Th)$^{*}$=Th for all self-adjoint element h in A. Recall that a Banach *-algebras is a complex Banach algebra with an involution *. An $A^{*}$-algebra A is a Banach *-algebra having anauxiliary norm vertical bar . vertical bar which satisfies $B^{*}$-condition vertical bar $x^{*}$x vertical bar = vertical bar x vertical ba $r^{2}$(x in A). A Banach *-algebra whose norm is an algebra $B^{*}$-norm is called $B^{*}$-algebra. The *-semi-simple Banach *-algebras and the semi-simple hermitian Banach *-algebras are $A^{*}$-algebras. Also, $A^{*}$-algebras include $B^{*}$-algebras ( $C^{*}$-algebras). Recall that a semi-prime algebra is an algebra without nilpotents two-sided ideals non-zero. The class of semi-prime algebras includes the class of semi-prime algebras and the class of prime algebras.   • In this paper, we study a new one-step iterative scheme with error for approximating common fixed points of non-self asymptotically nonexpansive in the intermediate sense mappings in uniformly convex Banach spaces. Also we have proved weak and strong convergence theorems for above said scheme. The results obtained in this paper extend and improve the recent ones, announced by Zhou et al. [27] and many others.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concepts of an orthogonal generalized F-contraction mapping and prove some fixed point theorems for a self mapping in an orthogonal metric space. The given results are generalization and extension some of the well-known results in the literature. An example to support our result is presented.

  • A controller using a multilayer neural network is proposed to the dynamic control of a PUMA 560 robot arm. This controller is developed based on an error back-propagation (BP) neural network. Since the neural network can model an arbitrary nonlinear mapping, it is used as a commanded feedforward torque generator. A Proportional Derivative (PD) feedback controller is used in parallel with the feedforward neural network to train the system. The neural network was trained by the current state of the manipulator as well as the PD feedback error torque. No a priori knowledge on system dynamics is needed and this information is rather implicitly stored in the interconnection weights of the neural network. In another experiment, the neural network was trained with the current, past and future positions only without any use of velocity sensors. Form this thim window of position values, BP network implicitly filters out the velocity and acceleration components for each joint. Computer simulation demonstrates such powerful characteristics of the neurocontroller as adaptation to changing environments, robustness to sensor noise, and continuous performance improvement with self-learning.

초등학교 보건교육 교과영역에 대한 교사들의 인식도 속성: Concept mapping 기법을 활용한 실험적 시도 (Teachers' Perceived Dimensions on Elementary School Health Education Curriculum: An Experimental Trial Based on Concept Mapping Approach)

  • Background: School is a primary health education setting for children and the continuous support should be provided to renew school health education curriculum correspondent to socio-cultural changes in Korean society. Objectives: This study was conducted to identify the principals' and teachers' needs of health education topics for their students and to analyze their conceptual map for health education curriculum in Korean elementary school. Methods: The sample size of the first survey was 179 and that of the second survey was 691 of elementary school principals and teachers from stratified sampling over Korea. The self-administered mailing survey was conducted to o identify the factor structure of the health education topics and to analyze the conceptual properties with exploratory factor analysis and multidimensional scaling analysis in SPSS 12.0. Results: A total of 21 health education topics were collected from the first survey and 31 topics were, comprehensively, generated for the second survey. The five factors were determined: 'life health promotion behavior,' 'drug control and mental health,' 'bulling and aggression prevention,' 'safety perception and injury prevention,' and 'sex education and sexual harassment.' The educational need scores were the highest in 'safety perception and injury prevention.' The two-dimensional cooperates were generated for the 31 health education topics and the two dimensional properties which divided the conceptual space were 'health-safety' for one and 'public/environmental-individual/personal' for the other. Conclusions: Health education curriculum and textbook should be developed considering teachers' needs and conditions for health education in school fields. The field-based health education programs or textbook would make more possible problem-solving health education for children in real school fields.
