Coded cooperation that integrates channel coding in cooperative transmission has gained a great deal of interest in wireless relay networks. The performance analysis of coded cooperation protocol with multiple relays is investigated in this paper. We show that the diversity order achieved by the coded cooperation in a multi-relay wireless network is not only dependent on the number of cooperating relays but is also dependent on the code-rate of the system. We derive the code-rate bound, which is required to achieve the full diversity gain of the order of cooperating nodes. The code-rate required to achieve full diversity is a linearly decreasing function of the number of available relays in the network. We show that the instantaneous channel state information (CSI)-based relay selection can effectively alleviate this code-rate bound. Analysis shows that the coded cooperation with instantaneous CSI-based relay selection can achieve the full diversity, for an arbitrary number of relays, with a fixed code-rate. Finally, we develop tight upper bounds for the bit error rate (BER) and frame error rate (FER) of the relay selection based on coded cooperation under a Rayleigh fading environment. The analytical upper bounds are verified with simulation results.

In this paper, trellis coded 16 QAM Multi-Carrior CDMA system is proposed, Using the equivalent signal-to-noise plus interference Power ratio (SNIR) of Multi-Carrier CDMA system in the reverse link, capacity and BER performance of trellis coded 16 QAM Multi-Carrier CDMA system are analyzed taking into account the number of multi-carrier, the number of multiple access user, the number of SC/MRC diversity branch, and Rician fading parameter in multiuser interference and Rician fading channel. And the capacity and the BER performance of trellis coded 16 QAM Multi-Carrier CDMA system using selection combining (SC) and maximal ratio cabining (MRC) diversity are numerically compared. Obtained results show that the capacity of proposed system depends on the number of multi-carrier. ti is found that the trellis coded 16 QAM Multi-Carrier CDMA system with SC/MRC antenna diversity scheme is efficient to combat multipath fading and to increase the maximum number of users in high speed data communication. With the results of analysis. MRC diversity technique provides the performance fro high speed data communications. Finally, we present a numerical approach to derive the capacity and the BER performance and to find the maximum number of multiple access user for Multi-Carrier system in multiuser interference and Rician fading channel.

In this paper, we have analyzed the packet error probability of DS/CDMA-Trellis Coded QPSK modulation signal with MRC(Maximum Ratio Combining) diversity reception in Rician fading, multi-user interferences and multipath channel. And then we have evaluated the performance and capacity of DS/CDMA-Trellis Coded QPSK system using the MRC diversity reception as a function of direct power to indirect power ratio ($K_R$), the number of diversity branch(M), the number of multi-user(U), PN chip rate(PN), the number of multipath channel($L_P$), and packet length(PL). From the results, we know that the coding gain of DS/CDMA-Trellis Coded QPSK system with 2 branch MRC diversity is about 6 dB against uncoded DS/CDMA BPSK system with 2 branch MRC diversity in Rician fading ($K_R=6dB), 5 multi-user interferences, and 3 multipath channel. And, we know that coded QPSK signal designed for the AWGN channel also perform well on a Rician fading channel with MRC diversity reception. Consequently, we expected that proposed system structure is reliable to the wireless data communication system in Rician fading, multi-user interferences, and multipath channel.

In this paper, we propose a ETD-turbo code(Enhanced Time Diversity turbo code) which is a novel turbo code configuration to increase the time diversity effect and analyze the performance of ETD-turbo coded MC-CDMA system. The ETD-turbo code, which is added another interleaver to the conventional turbo code structure, is consisted. Time diversity effect of the ETD-turbo code is improved by every parity bits converted into interleaver pattern. In order to the performance of the ETD-turbo code, we conduct a computer simulation about interleaver type. And we make comparison between the performance of ETD-turbo coded MC-CDMA system and the conventional turbo coded MC-CDMA system. By the simulation results, ETD-turbo code has less BER than the conventional turbo code and time delay is decreased by reducing iteration numbers. Therefore, it is defined that the performance of ETD-turbo coded MC-CDMA system is improved than the conventional turbo coded MC-CDMA system.

In this paper, we propose a STF(Space-Time-Frequency) coded OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) transmission scheme as an attractive solution for high bit rate data transmission in a multipath fading environment. STBC(Space-Time Block Coding) has been proposed as a simple diversity scheme using two transmit antennas. Also ST-OFDM(Space-Time Block Coded OFDM) and SF-OFDM(Space-Frequency Block Coded OFDM) transmission scheme, that the STBC is applied to the OFDM, has been proposed. In this paper, we propose STF-OFDM transmission scheme that to coded in time, space and frequency domain. The STF-OFDM transmission scheme that we propose in this paper is the way to improve a performance of conventional ST-OFDM, by using frequency diversity.

This paper introduces the coded cooperation protocol in wireless relay network. We propose a two relay based coded cooperation protocol with RCPC codes for wireless networks. The proposed two-relay based system can achieve a diversity of order 4 under slow fading environment. Under fast fading, the diversity order is 2 times of the free distance of the convolutional code. We develop upper bounds on BER and FER for the system under both slow and fast fading with Rayleigh distribution. The effect of various channel conditions on the cooperation is also examined in this work.

The bit error rate(BER) performance of Trellis Coded QPSK signal in the presence of cochannel interference (CCI) and Rician fading is investigated. The trellis coded QPSK system adopts Maximum Ratio Combining (MRC) diversity reception and Reed-Solomon code to enhance system performance. Using the derived error probability equation, the error performance of trellis coded QPSK system has been evaluated and shown in figures to discuss as a function of signal power to noise power ratio (SNR), signal power to interference power ratio(SIR), direct to indirect signal power ratio ($K_R$), the number of diversity branch (M), the frame length of Reed-Solomon code (n), the number of error correction symbol (t), and the number of state of trellis encoder. From the results, we know that proposed system is affected by cochannel interference and fading in microcell environment. Also, BER performance of Trellis Coded QPSK system can be improved as increasing either the power of desired signal or the value of SIR. And the BER floor in microcellular system is caused by the cochannel interference and it occurs at high BER when SIR is low. And Reed-Solomon code (n=15, t=2) is more effective to restrain the affection of CCI and fading than MRC diversity reception (M=2).

In this paper, we proposed a trellis coded Multi-Carrier CDMA 16 QAM system with multiple transmit/receive antenna diversity technique, which is simple and suitable for indoor wireless communications. The proposed multiple transmit/receive antenna diversity technique is that the transmitter sends a trellis coded Multi-Carrier CDMA 16 QAM signal from multiple transmitting antennas with intentional time delays, which makes a receiver possible to distinguish and combine the signals from different antennas. In wireless indoor communication system, if we allow the increase of the complexity of the system, it is also possible to achieve additional diversity gain in the performance with the combination of the proposed technique and the conventional receiving antenna diversity. Furthermore, we have found that the proposed trellis coded Multi-Carrier CDMA 16 QAM system, which employs multiple transmit/receive antenna, is less sensitive to the multiple user interference and fading than conventional receiving antenna diversity systems.

In this paper, we derive the gain of network coding when it is utilized for retransmission in wireless networks. To the end, we derive the outage probability of the network-coded transmission and express the diversity order as a function of the number of nodes and the node's listening probability. From the outage probability, we formulate the ${\epsilon}$-outage capacity. The network-coding gain is the ratio of the ${\epsilon}$-outage capacities between network-coded and non-coded transmissions. Under our system model, we find that the network-coding gain is a function of the diversity order. Moreover, when there are infinitely many nodes, we show that the network coding gain approaches $0.25{\epsilon}^{-1}$.
In this paper, we investigate the properties and performance of space-time bit-interleaved coded modulation (STBICM) systems in fast Rayleigh fading channels. We first show that ST-BICM with QPSK signaling in fast fading channels possesses the uniform distance property, which makes performance analysis tractable. We also derive the probability distribution of the squared Euclidean distance between space-time symbols assuming uniform bit-interleaving. Based on the distribution, we show that the diversity order for each codeword pair becomes maximized as the frame length becomes sufficiently long. This maximum diversity order property implies that the bit-interleaver transforms an ST-BICM system over transmit diversity channels into an equivalent coded BPSK system over independent fading channels. We analyze the performance of ST-BICM in fast fading channels by deriving an FER upper bound. The derived bound turns out very accurate, requiring only the distance spectrum of the binary channel codes of ST-BICM. Numerical results demonstrate that the bound is tight enough to render an accurate estimate of performance of ST-BICM systems.
