  • Normally, in data transmission, extra parity bits are added to the input message which were derived from its input and a pre-defined algorithm. The same algorithm is used by the receiver to check the consistency of the delivered information, to determine if it is corrupted or not. It recovers and compares the received information, to provide matching and correcting the corrupted transmitted bits if there is any. This paper aims the following objectives: to use an alternative error detection-correction method, to lessens both the fixed number of the required redundancy bits 'r' in cyclic redundancy checking (CRC) because of the required polynomial generator and the overhead of interspersing the r in Hamming code. The experimental results were synthesized using Xilinx Virtex-5 FPGA and showed a significant increase in both the transmission rate and detection of random errors. Moreover, this proposal can be a better option for detecting and correcting errors.

  • In this paper we designed 2 bit ECC(Error Checking and Correction) circuit using Single Layer Perceptron type neural networks. We used (11, 6) block codes having 6 data bits and 8 check bits with appling cyclic hamming codes. All of the circuits are layouted by CMOs 2um double metal design rules. In the result of circuit simulation, 2 bit ECC circuit operates at 67MHz of input frequency.

  • The purpose of this research is to find out the problem of plan composition by use the school building. The research was performed through the checking of 13 high schools which were built after 1997 in Busan. Followings are the result of the research. Presently, all the schools are divided classes into different levels and teach students, however, it is only limited to English and Mathematics and being carried on mostly for 1st graders. Moreover, although the plan is composed Department System plan which intended to ues new various learning method, schools have changed their plan into Usual with Variation type which is old educational program and renovated a few classes for certain subjects. Due to above reasons, the new kinds of space for Department System plan is used only as a study room by reform or even not used at all. Therefore, improvement of those problems are significant in schools.

  • Objectives The objective of this study si to report clinical effect of korean medical treatments and Buteyko breathing technique for asthma patient with pneumonia. Methods The patient was treated by korean medical treatment including acupunture, moxibustion, herbal medication and Buteyko breathing technique. The improvement of clinical symptoms was observed by visual checking and X-ray, Pulmonary Function Test that index include TV, FVC, FEV1. Results After treatments, the patient was improved in visual checking and X-ray on chest, TV, FVC, FEV1. Conclusions We suggest that korean medical treatment and Buteyko breathing technique could be an effective method to improve the asthma patient with pneumonia.

  • This survey is mainly focus on identifying the efficacy of CPR training for 92 first responders who participated in the first aid and emergency rescue program dated on November 22 and November 24, 2000. First responders are trained and evaluated using AHA guideline for 4 hours. Data are analyzed by Percentage, Mean, T-test, F-test using SPSS program. The results for this study are as follows: 1. An average score for CPR evaluation is high as 1.71 of total score 2.0. 2. Between adult CPR and infant CPR, an average score for adult CPR is higher than infant CPR. The highest item of adult CPR and infant CPR is checking for unresponse(1.95 and 1.93), the lowest items are checking for circulation and chest compression position in the adult CPR and location of chest compression in the infant CPR 3. There are statistically significant differences in the evaluation score of CPR according to age, education level, occupation, job experience and emergency accident situation in the past.

  • This study deals with a flow and pressure ripple characteristics for a hydrostatic transmission(HST) consisting of a vari-able axial piston pump connected in an open loop to a fixed displacement axial piston motor. These flow ripples produced by pump and motor in HST interacts with the source impedances of the pump or motor and dynamic characteristics of the connected pipeline, and results in a pressure ripples, Pressure ripples. Pressure ripples in HSP is major source of vibration, which can lead to fatigue failure of components and cause noise. In this paper, the flow ripples generated by a swash plate type axial piston pump or motor in HST are measured by making use of hydraulic pipeline dynamics and the measured pressure data at two points along the pipeline. By using the self-checking functions, the validity of the method us investigated by comparison with the measured and estimated pressure ripples at the halfway section of the pipeline, and good agreement is achieved.

  • We propose a hardware architecture called Multiring which is applicable for various geometrical operations on rectilinear objects such as design rule checking in VLSI layout and many image processing operations including noise suppression and coutour extraction. It has both a fast execution speed and extremely high flexibility. The whole architecture is mainly divided into four parts` I/O between host and Multiring, ring memory, linear processor array and instruction decoder. Data transmission between host and Multiring is bit serial thereby reducing the bandwidth requirement for teh channel and the number of external pins, while each row data in the bit map stored in ring memory is processed in the corresponding processor in full parallelism. Each processor is simultaneously configured by the instruction decoder/controller to perform one of the 16 basic instructions such as Boolean (AND, OR, NOT, and Copy), geometrical(Expand and Shrink), and I/O operations each ring cycle, which gives Multiring maximal flexibility in terms of design rule change or the instruction set enhancement. Correct functional behavior of Multiring was confirmed by successfully running a software simulator having one-to-one structural correspondence to the Multiring hardware.

  • This article is a description of the case variation in Guarani Language, which is a relatively, rarely studied language, and more so about case phenomena. Guarani has two remarkable facts about case. First, it has two overt accusative case markers, which are differentiated by the semantic notion of boundedness as in Jackendoff(1990, 1991). The existence of accusative case markers in Guarani is attested by their behavior in the typical transitive verb sentences, the ability to occur in ECM constructions, and the interpretation of specificity which is parallel to Turkish accusative case marker realization reported in Enc(1991). Second, accusative case forms occur in adjunct positions as well as object positions in Guarani. To capture these peculiar case phenomena, an account based on some recent Minimalist ideas about case checking from Legate(2008), Bowers(2010) is shown to be available.

  • To revitalize rural economy and to generate job opportunities in the Korean countryside through the specialized production of high-valued/environment-friendly farm products and the active promotion of green tourism in the farmland-remodelling project sites in 4 main riverside areas, this study developed the regionally differentiated development models of future-oriented agri-business complex. Through two rounds' expert group consulting/checking, related literatures review and similar case-projects benchmarking, a tentative model system was made and corrected, and finally, 6-development types with 24 model complexes proposed.

  • This paper introduces the two recently developed checking techniques far missed eigenvalues of nonproportionally damped system. The first technique is based on the argument principle. On the other hand, the second one is based on Rombouts' algorithm and Gleyse's theorem, which has been known as the effective and well-proven method. In the paper, the main features of the two techniques are explained and their effectiveness is also investigated by considering a numerical example.
