  • Recently there are many image datasets which has variety of data class and point to extract general features. But in order to this variety data class and point, deep learning model trained this dataset has not good performance in heterogeneous data feature local area. In this paper, we propose the structure which use sub-category and openset object detection methods to train more robust model, named multi-branch tree using ASSL. By using this structure, we can have more robust object detection deep learning model in heterogeneous data feature environment.

  • As the supply method of products has become diverse and complex, problems such as manipulation of origin and product trace have occurred in the existing supply chain system. In order to deal with these issues, various Blockchain based studies have been actively carried in the SW industry and academy. However, there is a lack of comprehensive survey research on the applied Blockchain techniques, so that it hardly understand the pros and cons of the technologies. In this study, we intensively investigated the diverse studies from the Industrial and academic area based on the several criteria such as the goals, use of key Blockchain technologies, and IoT technologies.

Statistical Analysis of the Usage Type of Online Cremation Reservation Service in Funeral Information System : Focused on the Public Cremation Facilities of Incheon Metropolitan City

  • As of 2016, the cremation rates in the capital area are 91.2% in Incheon Metropolitan City, 87.5% in Seoul Special City, and 87.1% in Gyeonggi-do Province, of which Incheon has the highest rate, and cremation of general corpses through the online cremation reservation service of the funeral information system is continuously increasing every year. And as of 2017, the ratio of the cremation for those outside the jurisdiction (residents of other regions) among the users of public cremation establishment in Incheon, is about 32%. As the supply capacity is expected to reach the limit within several years due to the increase in demand for such a cremation facility, I would like to suggest a policy as follows. The expansion of cremation supply capacity by increasing the number of operations in the cremation furnace; The attractions of operating funds through contracts for joint use of the cremation facility with other local governments and investment funds for the expansion of cremation facilities; The plan for controlling the demand in cremation such as an increase in cremation charge for those outside the jurisdiction(residents of other regions), should be considered.

Open Ended Folded-Slot Antenna with a Wide n-Shaped Slot for Ultra-Wideband Applications

  • A microstrip feedline based open ended folded-slot antenna is proposed for ultra-wideband (UWB) applications. The prototype of the proposed antenna is fabricated on the FR4 dielectric substrate. The proposed antenna has a wide n-shaped slot that is useful for designing circuit components on the same printed circuit board (PCB) as that of the radio frequency (RF) modules. The proposed antenna use two kinds of slots as radiators, and each slots have different characteristics because of the different type of ends of the slot. The wideband characteristic can be obtained by resonances of each slot which are occurred at different frequencies. The measured impedance bandwidth (S11≤ -10 dB) is 2.9-11.56 GHz, and the antenna peak gain is 2-4 dBi over the UWB range. The antenna has a stable omni-directional radiation pattern and only a small group-delay variation across the UWB passband. In addition, we present a modified design with band-notched characteristics of a 5 GHz wireless local area network (WLAN) frequency band.

  • In this paper, a gaze estimation method is proposed for use with a large-sized display at a distance. Our research has the following four novelties: this is the first study on gaze-tracking for large-sized displays and large Z (viewing) distances; our gaze-tracking accuracy is not affected by head movements since the proposed method tracks the head by using a near infrared camera and an infrared light-emitting diode; the threshold for local binarization of the pupil area is adaptively determined by using a p-tile method based on circular edge detection irrespective of the eyelid or eyelash shadows; and accurate gaze position is calculated by using two support vector regressions without complicated calibrations for the camera, display, and user's eyes, in which the gaze positions and head movements are used as feature values. The root mean square error of gaze detection is calculated as $0.79^{\circ}$ for a 30-inch screen.

  • VANET is a rapidly emerging service area with strict requirements of a few milliseconds' latency. Because current systems don't guarantee ultra-low latency, it has been proposed a latency-guaranteed Autonomous ATDMA(ATDMA) in which autonomous joining/leaving is allowed without coordinator's scheduling. In this study, we extended ATDMA to operate in non-perfect decoding environments with existing hidden nodes, channel fading and node density variation, and named it ATDMA revision(ATDMA-R). We also evaluated the performance of ATDMA and ATDMA-R, and showed the robustness of ATDMA-R through various realistic simulation scenarios.

  • Injured peoples usually care their body at medical institutions. But if they need some more rehabilitation to the affected area thus exist. These medical institutions according to the scale there are significant differences in rehabilitation programs, most of the small-scale rehabilitation program for medical doctors and patients to be progression of the conversation is an issue. In this paper, in a small medical facility rehabilitation to assist in the accuracy and reliability, physical contact and force sensors that can measure a combination of substitution and the tactile sensor and tactile sensor alternative with a similar function is proposed. Perceptron neural networks by applying the contact evaluation according to the algorithm to determine the pattern is applied.

  • Recently, Virtualization technology is moving the desktop environment from its place a mobile platform environment, personal and businesses, academia, and lacked security and in a team environment brought about many changes are coming. In this environment, a representative of VMware's MVP solution and Enterporid Divide. But, another issue is that these mobile virtualization technologies in an environment of limited resources and performance constraints, have become its application virtualization technology to improve the weaknesses of the mobile platform. In this paper, proposed for client-based desktop application virtualization infrastructure, bring it to the Android environment, weaknesses of the existing paper was user area limitations of the desktop environment with application virtualization, program execution android application virtualization launcher was improved through increased resource allocation.

  • Image recognition is an important research area of pattern recognition. This paper studies that the image segmentation algorithm theory and its application in road signs recognition system. In this paper We studied a systematic study for road signs and we have made the recognition algorithm. This paper is divided in image segmentation part and image recognition part for the road signs recognition. The experimental results show that the road signs recognition model can make effective use in smart phone system, and the model can be used in many other fields.

  • In this paper, we propose a printed planar antenna suitable for mobile wireless communications. Since the printed antenna is easy to fabricate due to simplicity, low cost, and light weight, it is widely used in communications systems. The conventional patch antenna takes too much surface area to be applied to a mobile receiver. Although the size is reduced using the printed antenna, still reasonably wide bandwidth should be considered. To overcome the disadvantage of narrow bandwidth, the substrate should be physically thick and the dielectric constant should be small. In this work, we suggest a simple form of printed planar antenna and show the optimal input impedance depending on the antenna size and operating frequency. The performance evaluation is achieved analytically for a prototype antenna model.
