There are three standard weight functions on a linear code viz. Hamming weight, Lee weight, and Euclidean weight. Euclidean weight function is useful in connection with the lattice constructions [2] where the minimum norm of vectors in the lattice is related to the minimum Euclidean weight of the code. In this paper, we obtain an upper bound over the number of parity check digits for Euclidean weight codes detecting and correcting burst errors.

사용자에게 서비스 할 데이터가 많을 경우 여러 볼륨에 저장해서 처리해야 할 경우가 발생한다. 볼륨이 여러 개일 경우 효과적이고 효율적인 접근 방법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 SHORE 저장 시스템을 이용할 경우에 효과적이고 효율적인 접근 방법을 알아보고자 한다. single thread, multi thread, multi process, socket을 이용한 접근 방법을 살펴보고 multi thread를 이용하는 방법이 가장 효율적인 것을 실험 결과를 통해서 보인다. SHORE thread는 CPU bound에 관련된 job이 많은 경우는 process를 사용했을 때에 비해 큰 효과가 없으나 I/O bound에 관련에 것일 경우는 multi process를 사용한 것과 비슷한 효과가 있음을 알 수 있다.

To determine in vitro effects of phenylbutazone and niflumic acid on warfarin binding to rabbit serum protein, warfarin was added to the rabbit plasma, and the bound fraction was determined by warfarin-protein complex fluorescence. The bound fraction was decreased by phenylbtazone and niflumic acid. From this effect niflumic acid was found to have the more potent ability to displace warfarin from protein binding sites than phenylbutazone.

This investigation was aimed at the study of the antidiabetic activity and effect on hepatic glutathione metabolism of polysaccharide from Trichosanthes kirilowii in hyperglycemic rats with aboxan (175 mg/Kg, i.p.). As the results, the polysaccharide inhibited the increase of blood glucose, triglyceride level and lactate dehydrogenase activity, but cholesterol not changed. And it increased protein bound-SH, nonprotein bound-SH, glutathione level and inhibited the decrease of glutathione S-transferase.

In this paper, we introduce and investigate a subclass ${\Im}_{\Sigma}({\alpha},{\beta},{\gamma})$ of analytic and bi-univalent functions of complex order in the open unit disk U in complex plane. Here, we obtain an upper bound for the second Hankel determinant of the functions belonging to this class. Moreover, several interesting conclusions of the results obtained here are also discussed.

In this paper, we provide results for the search number of the Cartesian product of graphs. We consider graphs on opposing ends of the spectrum: paths and cliques. Our main result determines the pathwidth of the product of cliques and provides a lower bound for the search number of the product of cliques. A consequence of this result is a bound for the search number of the product of arbitrary graphs G and H based on their respective clique numbers.

We study linearly dependent subsets with prescribed cardinality s of a multiprojective space. If the set S is a circuit, there is an upper bound on the number of factors of the minimal multiprojective space containing S. B. Lovitz gave a sharp upper bound for this number. If S has higher dependency, this may be not true without strong assumptions (and we give examples and suitable assumptions). We describe the dependent subsets S with #S = 6.

This paper aims to present a new lower bound for some inequalities related to Frames in Hilbert space. Some refinements of the inequalities for general frames and alternate dual frames under suitable conditions are given. These results refine the remarkable results obtained by Balan et al. and Gavruta.

This paper covers algorithms to determine a machine assignment strategy to locations on a single straight track by minimizing the total backtrack distance. Three different algorithms ar presented: an efficient heuristic procedure, the branch-and-bound algorithm, and the nerual network approach. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithms have potential power to design an on-line optimizer.

In this paper, some estimations will be given for the analytic functions belonging to the class 𝓡(α). In these estimations, an upper bound and a lower bound will be determined for the first coefficient of the expansion of the analytic function h(z) and the modulus of the angular derivative of the function ${\frac{zh^{\prime}(z)}{h(z)}}$, respectively. Also, the relationship between the coefficients of the analytical function h(z) and the derivative mentioned above will be shown.
