본 연구는 초등학교도서관의 자료 선정 과정 중 나타나는 사서(교사)의 자기 검열에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하여 자기 검열 행위를 줄일 수 있는 구조적 방안을 모색하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 연구를 위하여 국내외 문헌 연구를 통해 자기 검열의 개념을 살펴보고 심층 면담을 통해 설문지를 개발하여 설문조사를 시행 후 통계적 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 장서 개발 정책과 학교도서관운영위원회, 도서관 장서 관련 민원 요소에서 집단 간 유의한 자기 검열 차이를 발견하였고, 이용자 및 도서관 장서에 대한 사서(교사)의 인식에서 자기 검열 영향 요인을 확인하였다. 이를 바탕으로 학교도서관운영위원회의 심의 기능 강화, 이용자 항의 대응 지침이 포함된 장서 개발 정책 마련, 학교도서관 소장 자료의 폐기 절차 간소화 등을 제안하였다.

This study attempts to investigate what information the consumer want, and the needs and contents of information for 10 goods categories. Especially, this study aims to be used as the basic data for development of consumer information program. So, data of this survey was collected in Puchon, and the results can be used in regions which has the similar circumstance. Major findings are as follows. Consumers in Puchon think that it is difficult for them to have the information about goods. They want to know the comparative quality of goods and criterion of selection. Needs of information about 10 goods categories are different from each other. They want the informations about cereals/meats/vegetables, home appliance, book/stationery/toy more than others. They want to acquire the information from community bulletins and mass communication. So, consumer information center in University can produce the information program available to community members using this results. Then, they offer it to them through various channels.

Through the close examination of characteristics of adolescent, social institutions and its programs, and newly added and expanded library reference services. it is founded that new role and qualifications of young adult reference librarians are prerequisite subject. The following are the summary of new role and qualifications of specialized young adult reference librarianship. 1. Adequate training and education for the YA librarians is needed in order to have understanding of their characteristics (physiology, psychology, personality etc.). 2. Because of librarian's unique exposure to human relations and their personal awareness of other people's need, YA librarian should bring a person-centered managerial technique. 3. Librarianship may not have a clinical counseling function but to provide right answer or information, the librarian become counselor inescapably. 4. Librarians are not professionally trained to be experts on counseling in sex education. However, librarians can play an important role in educating YA by committing book selection, reader's advisory, referral services, library programming and staff development planning.

Developing tailor made Multimedia courseware ensuring effective implementation of instruction strategies is a challenge that manifests in myriad problems of software design and coding. In this paper an attempt has been made to analyse and identify coding and implementation problems, in the backdrop of using two different multimedia software development tools i.e. Visual Basic and Toolbook, which underpin the development and effectiveness of use of multimedia courseware. Solutions to such problems have been discussed in context of Tool book. The examples presented in this paper are based on the experience of designing and implementation of two large scale professional quality Multimedia courseware development projects.

The year of 2009 marks the $200^{th}$ anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his book, On the Origin of Species. Having survived the 150 years of hardening and tempering, Darwin's theory of natural selection is now more comprehensive and powerful than ever. It casts its shadow over nearly all academic disciplines and societal sectors. It truly revolutionized the way we look at the world and ourselves. In the midst of Darwinian revolution, however, Korea remains as a backward country as far as the understanding of Darwin and his theory is concerned. A variety of intellectual activities organized to celebrate the Year of Darwin is helping to narrow the gap. This article summarizes the kinds of such activities held in Korea this year and explains how Darwin made all this possible. To paraphrase the famous quotation by Theodosius Dobzhansky, I now dare to say, "Nothing in life makes sense except in the light of evolution".

The purpose of this study is to investigate the business performance determinants of private consulting firms supporting bottom-up local development projects in rural areas. Under the shortage of well-trained rural development professionals, Private consulting firms support rural development projects driven by the residents. Considering the important role for consulting firms to play in the success in rural development projects, it becomes necessary to review the circumstances of consulting market on rural development projects. This study targeted 80 companies that are listed in the book rural development consulting firms. Analysis showed that factors influencing the business performance are not professional competencies but other external factors. The implications based on the above results need to be considered for policy-making to ensure that consulting company selection must be guaranteed of the consulting firms'capability by detailed fields of consulting firms' capability, and the training system for rural development experts must be formed.

Various materials related the names of objects were published in the late Joseon Dynasty. The medicine-related vocabulary contained in these data is important data for examining the practice of medicine at the time. Jaemulbo (Genealogy of talent and things) is a document on the names of things written by Lee Man-young in 1798. Through this study, the medical vocabulary in Jaemulbo was broadly investigated and analyzed and the following claims are made: 1. Jaemulbo provides a wealth of information on the medical terminology used in the 19th century. 2. The selection of medical vocabulary included was made according to the purpose of tools such as cultured books and dictionaries. 3. Jaemulbo is an example of using Jingyuequanshu (Whole book of Jingyue) before 1790. 4. Jaemulbo reflects the experience and knowledge of pharmacology after Donguibogam.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the dual readership represented in the use of picture books. The study was conducted through in-depth interviews and observation of 9 families including 5-year-olds. The findings of this study were as follows. First, mothers exercised their exclusive right to choose books for their children. They usually used online bookstores, libraries, or book rental shops by consulting other mothers or merchandisers. On the other hand, fathers and children seldom involved themselves in the selection of picture books. Second, children preferred interesting books, while mothers favored complete series of books, which were usually for educational purposes. Third, dynamic interaction between mother and child was occurred during their daily routine of reading picture books together. Five-year-olds seemed to be transitioning into independent readers, and mothers showed that they were also readers of picture books when they appreciated and enjoyed them.

With the introduction of the accreditation of engineering programs in Korea, universities affiliated with the programs have opened introductory engineering design courses for first- or second-year students. Since these courses mainly aim at cultivating problem-solving skills through team projects, this type of classes has opened as face-to-face classes. However, from the beginning of 2020, online teaching was recommended or forced on universities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, effective design of online courses on introductory engineering design was inevitable during the period. In this paper, we introduce a case study of the course in the Department of Computer Science at S University in Fall 2021. Through concrete suggestions on project areas, selection of team members considering grade levels and interest, several systems for prevention of free riding, and carefully designed open-book exams, the course resulted in both high achievements and high satisfaction.

'위대한 저서'는 1952년 브리태니커사에서 서양의 명저를 모아 54권으로 출간한 전집이며, 제2판은 60권으로 구성되어 있다. '위대한 저서'의 제2권과 제3권에는 애들러가 고안한 신토피콘이 포함되어 있다. 신토피콘은 '토픽의 집합'을 의미하는 신조어로써 전집에 포함되어 있는 저작의 위치를 알려주는 토픽색인이다. 본 연구는 '위대한 저서'에 포함되어 있는 신토피콘의 구조와 효용성을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 신토피콘은 102개의 아이디어 단위(장)로 구성되어 있으며, 각 장은 개요, 토픽 구조, 참조, 상호 참조, 추가 독서자료 목록 등 5개 요소로 구분되어 있다. 이 신토피콘은 참고도서, 교양교육, 탐구 및 연구도구, 다른 자료의 신토피컬 독서 적용, 융복합 교육과정 개발을 위한 도구, 다른 저작의 내용 분석 도구 등의 가치와 효용성이 있다.
