  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to understand the effect of infection anxiety about COVID-19 perceived by home appliance installers and repair technicians on work stress. Methods: To collect data, the purpose of the study was explained through the labor union of domestic home appliance service companies, and a survey was conducted through mobile to 286 home appliance installers and repair technicians who agreed to the survey. Results: As a result of the analysis, it was found that age, fatigue, work satisfaction, visit time, and Corona 19 infection anxiety had a significant effect on work stress. In other words, the higher the age, the higher the fatigue, the lower the job satisfaction, the higher the work stress was when the visit time was more than 30 minutes, and the higher the Corona 19 infection anxiety, the higher the work stress. Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, the following suggestions are made. First, in order to prevent work stress, we propose the development of a workplace health care program that can solve fatigue. Second, it is necessary to prepare a working environment and provide institutional support to reduce work stress by increasing Job satisfaction. Third, a workplace quarantine measures is needed to prevent infection for essential-workers who do face-to-face work in preparation for possible infectious diseases in the future.

  • Purpose: This descriptive study aimed to explore the effects of bullying, health promotion lifestyles, and physical symptoms on the occupational stress of new nurses in general hospitals. Methods: The participants of this study were 157 new nurses in fivegeneral hospitals with 100 to 399 beds in Gyeonggi-do. Data were collected from January to February, 2018, using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using the SPSS software version 20. Results: A total of 60.5% of the participants experienced bullying, and 38.2% experienced bullying more than 10 times a month. The perceived severity of bullying was severe (32.4%) and the nurses' first bullying experience began within the first six months (47.7%). Their occupational stress was scored 3.1. The regression model for occupational stressors was significant (F=23.86, p<.001), and the total explanatory power was 46.8%. The variables affecting occupational stress were bullying awareness (${\beta}=-.30$, p<.001), preceptor satisfaction (${\beta}=-.30$, p<.001), and health promotion lifestyles (${\beta}=-.26$, p=.001). Conclusion: It is important to reduce the incidence of bullying in order to help new nurses with high occupational stress. Stress management programs are needed to improve relationships between new nurses and preceptors and to encourage their health promotion lifestyles.

  • Purpose: The study was done to identify turnover intention in new nurses according to characteristics of the nurses and other factors affecting turnover and to provide data to set up a strategy to reduce the turnover. Methods: Data were collected from 1,077 new nurses who had less than 12 months employment experience and worked in one of 188 hospitals. Eight research instruments were used. Data analysis was done using SPSS WIN 15.0 program. Results: Several factors influence new nurse turnover intention. The average score for turnover intention was 2.12. The scores for subscales were self efficacy, 3.76, nursing performance, 3.90, job satisfaction, 2.09, organization commitment, 1.28, stress, 1.32, burnout, 2.82 and nursing organizational culture, 3.29. Turnover intention was related to self efficacy, nursing performance, job satisfaction, organization commitment, stress, burnout, nursing organizational culture, duration of in-class training, duration of on the job training, number of hospital beds, length of employment and duration of employment in current workplace. The predicting factors for turnover intention were burnout, stress, duration of employment in the current workplace, self efficacy and nursing performance. Those factors explained 51.6% of turnover intention. Conclusion: New nurse turnover intention can be reduced by mitigating the factors affecting this intention.

  • The OHT(Over Head Transportation) Vehicle transports heavy products quickly and repeatedly at the industrial workplace. The belt in the OHT vehicle is used to support the weight of the OHT Cage. The fatigue of the belt is caused by the dynamic load during the operation time. Since the fatigue fracture of the belt affects the safety at the workplace, the correct prediction of the dynamic load is necessary to calculate the fatigue life of the belt on the design step. In this paper a computer aided analysis method is proposed for the belt in the early design stage using dynamic analysis, stress analysis, belt tensile test, belt fatigue test and fatigue lift prediction method. From the dynamic load time histories and the stress of the belt FE model, a dynamic stress time history is produced. Using linear damage law and cycle counting method, fatigue life cycle is calculated. The method developed in this paper is used to reduce the time and cost for designing the OHT belt in different environment and condition.

  • Objective : To determine the association between occupational stress and disordered eating problem in Korean female employees. Methods : We studied 1,452 female employees who attended mental health screenings. Using the Korean Occupational Stress Scale-Short Form (KOSS-SF) and 26-item Korean version of Eating Attitude Test, occupational stress and disordered eating problem were evaluated, respectively. Sociodemographic and clinical characteristics of those with disordered eating problem were examined. Multiple logistic regression analysis was performed to determine which subscale of KOSS-SF was associated with disordered eating problem. Results : Disordered eating problem was associated with interpersonal conflict [odds ratio (OR) 1.882, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.138-3.112] among various kinds of job stresses. Lack of reward (OR 7.164, 95% CI 1.139-45.043) and insufficient job control (OR 1.953, 95% CI 1.119-3.411) were associated with disordered eating problem in the underweight and normal weight group, respectively. Conclusion : There is an association between occupational stress and disordered eating problem among Korean female employees.
