  • For a bounded linear operator T on a separable complex infinite dimensional Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$, we say that T is a quasi-class (A, k) operator if $T^{*k}|T^2|T^k\;{\geq}\;T^{*k}|T|^2T^k$. In this paper we prove that if T is a quasi-class (A, k) operator and f is an analytic function on an open neighborhood of the spectrum of T, then f(T) satisfies Weyl's theorem. Also, we consider the tensor product for quasi-class (A, k) operators.

  • For a bounded linear operator T we prove the following assertions: (a) If T is algebraically (p, k)-quasihyponormal, then T is a-isoloid, polaroid, reguloid and a-polaroid. (b) If $T^*$ is algebraically (p, k)-quasihyponormal, then a-Weyl's theorem holds for f(T) for every $f{\in}Hol({\sigma}T))$, where $Hol({\sigma}(T))$ is the space of all functions that analytic in an open neighborhoods of ${\sigma}(T)$ of T. (c) If $T^*$ is algebraically (p, k)-quasihyponormal, then generalized a-Weyl's theorem holds for f(T) for every $f{\in}Hol({\sigma}T))$. (d) If T is a (p, k)-quasihyponormal operator, then the spectral mapping theorem holds for semi-B-essential approximate point spectrum $\sigma_{SBF_+^-}(T)$, and for left Drazin spectrum ${\sigma}_{lD}(T)$ for every $f{\in}Hol({\sigma}T))$.

  • In this paper we study the Weyl spectrum of weight $\alpha, \omega_\alpha(T)$, of an operator T acting on an infinite dimensional Hilbert space. Main results are as follows. Firstly, we show that the Weyll spectrum of weight $\alpha$ of a polynomially $\alpha$-compact operator is finite, and that similarity preserves polynomial $\alpha$-compactness and the $\alpha$-Weyl's theorem both. Secondly, we give a sufficient condition for an operator to be the sum of an unitary and a $\alpha$-compact operators.

  • Let (equation omitted) denote the closure of the set (equation omitted) of dominant operators in the norm topology. We show that the Weyl spectrum of an operator T $\in$ (equation omitted) satisfies the spectral mapping theorem for analytic functions, which is an extension of [5, Theorem 1]. Also we show that an operator approximately equivalent to an operator of class (equation omitted) is of class (equation omitted).

  • In this paper, we introduce the class of analytic extensions of M-hyponormal operators and we study various properties of this class. We also use a special Sobolev space to show that every analytic extension of an M-hyponormal operator T is subscalar of order 2k + 2. Finally we obtain that an analytic extension of an M-hyponormal operator satisfies Weyl's theorem.

  • In this paper, we show that if T is a hyponormal operator on a non-separable Hilbert space H, then $Re\;{\omega}^0_{\alpha}(T)\;{\subset}\;{\omega}^0_{\alpha}(Re\;T)$, where ${\omega}^0_{\alpha}(T)$ is the weighted Weyl spectrum of weight a with ${\alpha}\;with\;{\aleph}_0{\leq}{\alpha}{\leq}h:=dim\;H$. We also give some conditions under which the product of two ${\alpha}-Weyl$ operators is ${\alpha}-Weyl$ and its converse implication holds, too. Finally, we show that the weighted Weyl spectrum of a hyponormal operator satisfies the spectral mapping theorem for analytic functions under certain conditions.

  • If A is a unital Banach algebra, then the spectrum can be viewed as a function ${\sigma}$ : 𝕬 ${\rightarrow}$ 𝕾, mapping each T ${\in}$ 𝕬 to its spectrum ${\sigma}(T)$, where 𝕾 is the set, equipped with the Hausdorff metric, of all compact subsets of $\mathbb{C}$. This paper is concerned with the continuity of the spectrum ${\sigma}$ via Browder's theorem. It is shown that ${\sigma}$ is continuous when ${\sigma}$ is restricted to the set of essentially hyponormal operators for which Browder's theorem holds, that is, the Weyl spectrum and the Browder spectrum coincide.

  • In this note we show that if $T_{\varphi}$ is a Toeplitz operator with quasicontinuous symbol $\varphi$, if $\omega$ is an open set containing the spectrum $\sigma(T_\varphi)$, and if $H(\omega)$ denotes the set of analytic fuctions defined on $\omege$, then the following statements are equivalent: (a) $T_\varphi$ is semi-quasitriangular. (b) Browder's theorem holds for $f(T_\varphi)$ for every $f \in H(\omega)$. (c) Weyl's theorem holds for $f(T_\varphi)$ for every $f \in H(\omega)$. (d) $\sigma(T_{f \circ \varphi}) = f(\sigma(T_varphi))$ for every $f \in H(\omega)$.

  • In this paper, we mainly obtain the following assertions: (1) If T is a quasi-*-n-paranormal operator, then T is finite and simply polaroid. (2) If T or $T^*$ is a quasi-*-n-paranormal operator, then Weyl's theorem holds for f(T), where f is an analytic function on ${\sigma}(T)$ and is not constant on each connected component of the open set U containing ${\sigma}(T)$. (3) If E is the Riesz idempotent for a nonzero isolated point ${\lambda}$ of the spectrum of a quasi-*-n-paranormal operator, then E is self-adjoint and $EH=N(T-{\lambda})=N(T-{\lambda})^*$.

  • In the present paper we define a q-extension of the Leibniz rule for q-derivatives via Weyl type q-derivative operator. Expansions and summation formulae for the generalized basic hypergeometric functions of one and more variables are deduced as the applications of the main result.
